We’re friends, teammates–and we hook up. Often.Shaw: He’s intense and the heat of his stare is hot enough to set fires. The first time we got together, it was a spontaneous earth-shattering moment. I wanted more. So, of course I popped the question.“Yours or mine for round two?” That’s where the trouble began. We agreed on an exclusive, no strings arrangement. When one of us is ready to walk … arrangement. When one of us is ready to walk away, we’ll still be friends. Perfect, right?
He’s not exactly a people person–understatement of the year–but I’ve seen the real him and he’s so much more than the broody loner others see him as.
But the brilliant plan backfired. I accidentally caught feelings.
Bishop: He could be my game-changer but there’s a problem.
He put a dent in my armor when he decided I needed a friend. Then he managed to crawl under my skin–and between my sheets.
He’s the one person in the world I trust, and he’s mine, for as long as this lasts. But I think I messed up and likely lost him for good.
The role in my family’s company I’ve been groomed for my entire life competes with my growing feelings for him. Turns out I can’t have them both.
What a terrible time to realize he means more to me than just a friend and convenient hookup.
Being friends with benefits is the perfect arrangement until someone falls in love.
Broken Play is a story about finding that one person that gets you, choosing your own future and the love of football.

Hotttt!!!!!!!
This book is smoking hot with lots of sexy times and a bit of spanking. This is fuckbuddies to lovers book and one of my favourite tropes. Bishop and Shaw have amazing chemistry together. And it’s a sports romance!!
I haven’t read the first book in the series but this is a standalone with dual POV and I didn’t feel like I missed anything.
Bishop, broody and mysterious, was one of my favourite characters. I hated his father though. ‘Worst father of the year’ award goes to Mr Shepherd! We do get a little bit of the typical rich kid/poor kid drama but I loved Bishop and Shaw.
Is the next book going to be Rendon and Nash? I hope so as I think the epilogue sets up for their book. Looking for toward to it!!
I loved this one! It’s been hard for me to find jealous/possessive guys in the MM genre so I absolutely loved Bishop! I would’ve loved to see more of it! Looking forward to more in this series!
Hot! Hot! Hot!
Wow! That was hot! The beginning alone, I can’t breath!
Wow! What can I say! This book is so so hot! Shaw and Bishop has been very quite till now! Bishop is not an asshole like everyone thinks, especially when it comes to Shaw! He will do anything for Shaw, ANYTHING!
These two young, strong, talented, smart, vulnerable young men are so enamored with each other, they keep avoiding even thinking about it. They have made a no-strings, no-feelings attached, friends with benefits arrangement, but they fit each other perfectly! Also, nothing comes without complications right?
How these two navigated all these complications warm and stabs my heart, they each had to go through self-evaluation, realizing what they truly want, agonizing times apart to realize what really is important for them!
Ms. Baylin, I love this book so much, I literally can’t wait for the next one! Thank you so much for your talent!
Do you ever wonder while things happen the way you do, and that giving a certain set of curcumstances it can change everything. For Bishop and Shaw this was a game changer for both of them and it forces them to reevaluate everything about the two of them, and finially move forward in their relationship. A fast moving must read story that is so hot it burns up the pages, keeping you so involved reading the story because you have to know how it ends. Really enjoyed this chapter in this series can’t wait for the next.
This book hit the spot for me on so many levels. Sports romance, teammates, opposites attract, friends with benefits. Yes, all of that! Bishop, so intense, dark, broody. I loved his character a lot. Shaw, just the opposite. Friendly, sweet, and the exact opposite of Bishop. The chemistry between Bishop and Shaw is off the charts steamy. So damn good! The storyline, while not a new concept by any means, fit with Bishop and Shaw perfectly and made for some great reading. I couldn’t put it down. This is an ongoing storyline and you should read book one, Quarterback Sneak, first. I totally enjoyed this book and love this series. I cannot wait to read about Nash and Rendon next!
I read book one yesterday, just finished book two today and downloaded book three for tomorrow. I cannot get enough of these Sugar Land guys and their love life’s. Shaw and Bishop made me cry, I love a good angsty break up scene and this one was epic. Stoic Bishop trying to figure out his life and how to incorporate fun-loving Shaw into while dealing with outside forces. I couldn’t get enough!
Opposites attract
It’s Shaw and Bishop’s story, which I wanted as soon as we were introduced to them in Quarterback Sneak. Wow, are they hot together.
Bishop’s forcefulness paired with his vulnerability and Shaw’s mischievousness paired with his sweetness make for a powerful combination. I like Bishop’s sense of humor and sin may be my new favorite flavor. I enjoy their banter, especially when Shaw is needling Bishop. I love how Shaw understands Bishop and the push and pull they have as they navigate their relationship.
Bishop gets blindsided and my heart hurts for him as he’s forced to reassess his life, but Shaw, he tore my heart to pieces. I think they’re both amazing and if I could reach through the pages and punch someone I would. Oh but the ending, happy sighs and all the feels. These two make me so happy. I’m so exited for Nash and Rendon! A wonderful story of love conquering all.
