Blake is the big brother every girl needs. Book 3 in this series and it starts out with Blake’s POV on the heartbreak his sister suffered. The way he handled everything will just warm your heart. We got to see a side of him that we didn’t see so much in the other two, his huge heart. When Blake met Samantha the widow of his sister husband he was extremely kind to her. He saw the sorrow in her eyes.
Samantha was a widow and mother to two little girls. She grew up in the system and without a family. The only family she had was her husband and his family. But her husband was a fake and his family especially his dad were unbearable. The way he treated Samantha was extremely terrible. And she came across as weak and a doormat but reading you’ll understand why she was this way. Sometimes I wished she defended herself fiercely but that just wasn’t her. Then Blake comes into her life. They were alike in so many ways and had similar things happen to them.
Blake and Samantha made a beautiful couple. At first I was a bit hesitant because of how they actually met and I thought it was a bit weird but then it didn’t matter. And the way that Blake loved those girls, priceless. They were moments that really upset me and had me screaming and wanting to pull my hair out. But then Samantha said something that wanted me to high five her.
These two deserved a happily ever after which they got and warmed my heart.
This freaking series. I can’t even begin to try to explain fully how deep my love for these books is. Every single one has gutted me then filled my heart with more love than I could ever imagine and just when I thought Natasha Madison had given it her all with the first two books she hits me with this one. As one of my favorite go to authors I’ve made what I call my reading a Natasha Madison book survival kit. It consists of drinks (yes, big girl grown up ones. I am a lady after all.) tissues, chocolate, and my most comfortable leggings and a hoodie because my butt ain’t leaving where I’ve planted it until I’ve read every page.
Broken Love Story sailed to the top of my all time favorites almost immediately. This entire series, centered around one man’s lie, itself is something incredibly unique but the stories that come from the chain of events started by that lie are breathtakingly amazing with Broken Love Story being insanely beautiful. I’ll give you a brief example of me while reading this to demonstrate the ugly cry level before I go on explaining how incredible this book is.
Me *starts book* “Ok, I can do this. She’s not going to get me this time. I’m ready. I’ve prepared. I’ve read every book I’m not going to sob”
Me *half way point* “Ok, ok, she got me a few times, but only one tissue. I’m good.”
Me *a bit further* “OMG! I CAN’T SEE! THE TEARS! EWWWW IS THAT SNOT?! WHERE DID THE TISSUES GO!? IT’S JUST SO BEAUTIFUL! MY HEART! OH GOD SOMEONE HOLD ME!”
Me*Epilogue* “Would it be weird to ask Natasha Madison to be my best friend forever and ever even though I’m a total stranger? Is that creepy?”
Needless to say, this book is everything. And my husband confirmed my thoughts are creepy and he’s wondering about my sanity. Eh, ya win some, ya lose some.
A true emotional journey from start to finish. Grief, anger, sadness, healing, soul deep love, forgiveness, overcoming, all these emotions and more are center stage in this epic love story that grips your heart. Truth be told, I didn’t know if I would even LIKE Samantha let alone love her as much as I do. The strength this woman posses to not only survive, but ultimately thrive after what her and her children are put through is awe inspiring. An amazing mother and a truly kind and beautiful woman I found myself loving who at the start of this series I looked at as, if not the enemy, more someone who I couldn’t like. But getting her side of all that has happened she was hit harder than anyone else by what happened.
Blake is someone I’ve liked from the start. A wonderful brother, protective and loyal, I always knew he was a good man. But now I know he’s more than merely a good man, he’s the kind of man every woman deserves in their life. His selfless and caring ways with Samantha are something I truly don’t know how to begin to explain. You just have to read it and be as blown away as I am by all the perfection that is Blake.
I honestly don’t know what to do with myself now that I’ve finished this book. How do I do life now? Probably starting this series from the beginning again so I can just keep living in the magic that Natasha has created that’s how.
PS
READ THIS. DO IT NOW.
You’re welcome for the advice.
Oh my god!! This broken love story is EVERYTHING!! I felt all the emotions while reading this book and it definitely opened my eyes to both sides of this terribly sad triangle! Some parts of this book had me crying, laughing, swooning and all out screaming profanities at my kindle! My heart broke for Samantha in so many ways and I’m so happy she had a man like Blake in her corner! Amazing amazing book and wonderful conclusion to this trilogy but I still don’t want it to end!
I have thoroughly enjoyed each of the books in this series but this book was probably my most favorite. It brings the series to a close, answers so many questions and more importantly tells the story of Samantha and Blake. Samantha lost her husband in a tragic car accident. They had shared a life together for 12 years and had two beautiful daughters together. Blake had lost the love of his life when Frankie had succumbed to disease at such a young age. He decided he would never love again. When tragedy strikes and these two lost souls are thrown together the sparks fly but so many questions are answered about their shared lives. It is a page turner with new discoveries around every corner. You won’t want to miss this exciting conclusion.

Broken Love Story is Blake and Samantha’s story. I really loved this. It has betrayal, heartbreak and love. I really loved Blake, he was such a great man. They way he was with Samantha, Liz and Daisy was just everything. I loved Samantha, despite everything going on in her life, she was strong, sweet and such a great mom. Blake and Samantha were perfect together. They had amazing chemistry and connection! This book might be one of my favorites!
Natasha Madison saved the absolute best for last!!! Broken Love Story is the third and final book in the intertwining Love Story series. This book owns me and I’m not quite sure what do with my life after reading this phenomenal story. It is such a powerful and intense book about struggling with incredible loss, perseverance, courage, strength and the ability to find love and happiness through the darkness.
Natasha Madison delivers such a beautifully written, emotionally charged and heart wrenching read. If you read Perfect Love Story(Jensen and Hailey’s excellent story) then you know that Blake is Hailey’s brother and Samantha was Eric’s wife who deceived both women by illegally marrying Hailey. After everything that’s happened, I would have never thought that Blake and Samantha would form a friendship that would eventfully lead to one of the most wonderful stories I’ve ever read. The creative plot is genius, the character development is on point and I fell in love with Blake and Samantha immediately. The way they found solace and comfort in each other made my heart flutter. As to be expected, their relationship endured a few trials and tribulations and I was a sobbing mess during those times. Blake is a oh so swoon-worthy protector and just all around good man. I was in awe of Samantha as she is resilient, brave and courageous.
Broken Love Story is the perfect book to end this series and without a doubt my favorite out of the three. Words cannot express how happy I am with the conclusion of this life changing series. My heart is full and these characters will remain with me forever.
Samantha and Blake. What can I say? This story is kind of one of those things where it does exactly what the title says, it broke me.
“My lifeline became my salvation .” She kisses me. “ And my salvation became love.” Two broken pieces became a whole lot of love. Samantha and Blake have so much heartache between them and Natasha writes about it so good that you feel like you are experiencing this emotional bomb of a book.
The final installment in the Love Series by Natasha Madison.
When it comes to reviews I always like to inform readers of what I read and my thoughts behind it, so often I find that my reviews can be quite lengthy.
But I cannot and I simply won’t do that for this novel.
As they saying goes ‘less is more’ and I have to go with that just this time.
And why?
Because there is no way, and I know in my heart that my words will never, ever do this novel justice, and I simply don’t want to tarnish this novel with my words.
You see Broken Love Story by far one of my favorite all times reads. A perfectly, in depth novel that is so pure, raw and powerful that it took my breath away.
There isn’t a singular moment in this novel that I can pin point and say it had my soul hurting. The whole novel did.
The emotional pull that I got from this I can’t even articulate in words.
It was breathtaking to say the least.
But I will say this….
Samantha and Blake. Your story will stay with me always.
To Samantha….You will forever be in my heart.
And Blake….Thank you for never giving up.
Lizzie and Daisy….Stay beautiful girls and always remember you are so very much loved.
“What would you change if you could?”
And to Natasha. I don’t know what to say. What you have given us in this novel is nothing short of sheer perfection.
A heartbreaking and breathtaking way to finish what that in my opinion would say is a perfect series.
5 stars
FABULOUS ending to one of my favorite series this year
Blake and Samantha are two broken souls, each having endured pain and sadness that could conquer even the strongest of hearts. No matter how unlikely their relationship might seem given the unconventional circumstances in which they meet, they are whole heartedly, 100% meant for one another. Even though the development of their relationship was an uphill battle, being with them on their journey was pure bliss.
I love Blake and Samantha as a couple. Their transition in getting to know one another was not easy, but the comfort and peace they bring to their sad souls is magical. Natasha carries us through this love story. She breaks us down piece by piece and puts our hearts back together stronger and better than before. She makes us believe in love, we believe in letting our guard down and accepting love and friendship in the most unexpected places.
My emotions were all over place with this romance. There were tears, an ugly cry or two and smiles that lit up my face like a Christmas tree. My heart swelled with pride and joy as this beautiful couple healed each other in a way no one else could. This story is about enduring the unthinkable, it’s about heartache and healing. It’s about opening yourself up to new possibilities when you think all hope is lost. I’m sad this series is complete, but happy to say that my heart is officially full.
5 stars isn’t nearly enough for this phenomenal story!! We got glimpses of Samantha and Blake in the first two books in this series, and our hearts broke and I needed their story. I don’t think I stopped ugly crying until about 15% in to this read.
These two were perfect together. Seeing them heal together, seeming to know what the other needs just when they need it, was awesome. I couldn’t imagine the struggles that Samantha faced. Seeing her find her way, become this strong heroine you can’t help to think “I want to be like her”, was truly amazing to read about. Blake was kind of a shell of a man before Samantha was thrown in to his life. She healed him in ways he never thought possible.
The story itself was stunning. It drew me in from the start, and had me on the edge of my seat with the twists, turns, and drama throughout. There was one secondary character I think I would love to see a story on, only because I feel he has so much potential for growing and breaking the chains that seem to bind him.
This story is a must read!!!
OK, I’m going to start off with saying I pulled a reading foul with this series … I have not read the first book in this series. I know, I’m the worst, but to be honest, I actually prefer the order that I’ve read them in. Once I catch up with some other books I need to get through, I’ll be starting from the beginning.
Guys, I love this series soooo much! I was a bit nervous to read Broken Love Story because I kept wondering how Blake and Samantha’s story would work without getting unbelievably messy. But that wasn’t the case at all, Natasha wrote their story flawlessly and it turned out to be quite the unique one … one that I can’t say I’ve read before. One that I absolutely loved and adored. One that I was completely enamored with!
If you’re reading this review, keep in mind that this is the 3rd book in the Love Series, it is a standalone but I highly advise (even though I haven’t read the first one yet) reading the books in order.
Being nervous was a complete understatement when I started this book. After finishing Unexpected Love Story, we get a little glimpse of Samantha and the absolutely heart-wrenching situation she ends up in. I was eager yet unsure about her character, but my goodness, I absolutely loved her. She was a character that I admired so much because of EVERYTHING she’s been through. Not only with her husband, but being born a crack baby and growing up through the horrible system as an orphan. There’s nothing great about her situation and none of it her fault. But the best thing that her husband gave her is their two girls that she’d do anything for.
When it came to Blake and Samantha’s story, I definitely admired hers the most. How do you pick up your life and remain strong (not only for yourself but for your daughters) when the one person who was supposed to love and protect you didn’t do that all? When a family who you thought was yours turns the other way and leaves you alone and completely deserted? I’d say Samantha was at her lowest, but I loved her journey of finding her normal again and finding her voice. I loved how Blake fit into her normal almost seamlessly. Like they were two broken souls who were always meant to find each other.
Just like Samantha, Blake understands love and loss, he had it all and he’s still harboring all that pain even though it has been years. But once he meets Blake and sees her for the first time, there was just something about her that always brought his thoughts back to her.
I loved witnessing their unique friendship/relationship form in the aftermath of such a heartbreaking situation. Both going through completely different situations but having each other was necessary for their healing. Starting off as complete strangers, finding themselves calling and texting each other, being completely open and honest with each other. Samantha needed answers, she needed the truth and Blake was the one to give it to her. I loved how protective he became over her from the very beginning, it shows you the kind of guy that Blake is. He’s a solid dude and so perfect for Samantha.
This book is the definition of everything happens for a reason. Any questions that you might have had throughout this series when it came to them will be answered. It was so easy to fall in love with not only the both of them, but their story.
The ONE thing that I thought was unnecessary was that little twist, in the end, I wasn’t quite expecting it and wished it wasn’t in the story, but I’m not crying over it either.
Anyways, loved this read and highly recommend!
P.S. Samantha’s in-laws can go suck an egg! ALL OF THEM!
Omg. I loved Blake’s story. So unexpected and good. I laughed and cried and I think I just feel in love with him too. Natasha, what are you doing to me? I love everyone of these guys. Such a beautiful story and so well written.
OMG – my emotions are all over the place. I was a sobbing mess while reading this. It started with the famous words “I’ll read just a few chapters” and before I knew it, it was 2am and I’ve read the words THE END.
Samantha was such a strong character. Being hit with one blow after the other she managed to stay strong for her girls. Being a mother I could relate on so many levels. I love Blake and his kind heart.
I loved him even more that he wanted to help Samantha to start living again. I loved the girls. My heart was breaking in half when Lizzy asked Hailey not to hate them so Blake won’t hate them…
You could see with every text and phone call between them, that they were falling for each other and didn’t even see it. But when they finally did?!Queue the swoon: »That was« she says softly »perfect.««Your lips,” I tell her, “were made for me to kiss.«
I love this series – every character that I read intrigued me and made me fall head over heels in love. Out of all three stories this is my favorite. These story will be a re-read for me most definitely!

I admit I was a bit skeptical when I read who was going to be in this story…Samantha? The woman whose husband found and married another woman and left her to wonder why after his untimely death? This was so much deeper in terms of feelings, emotions, and characters. Samantha is barely getting by with the loss of her husband and so many questions unanswered. Blake has really never gotten over his first love, who died tragically. But he sees something in Samanta the first time he sees her, and an unlikely bond of friendship forms. I really liked their love story…and her In Laws…WOW. The plot was fresh and we get a good peek at characters from the last book. Another great addition to the series of books!
The Love Story Series has been one amazing series but Natasha Madison certainly left the best for last. I’m not sure where to begin and how to explain all the emotions I went through reading this book, I really hope my words will do this love story justice….
Samantha and Blake found each other under the worse possible circumstances but a bond and a friendship came out of nowhere but how will their families feel about the friendship they have formed after all they shouldn’t be even speaking let alone confiding in each other. Blake has never got over the girl he thought was his forever, she was meant to be the one but she passed away and left him but helping Samantha has somehow helped him to move on maybe fate has a twisted way of pushing two people together. Samantha has suffered the ultimate betrayal finding out her husband committed bigamy but she has two adorable little girls to bring up and she knows she needs to concentrate on them but that is hard to do when you have in laws determined to break you……
This book is about two people finding friendship where is shouldn’t have been found then going on to form a bond that’s so strong it helps them get over the past and find true love where you would least expect it. This series is a journey for 3 couples and I think you will get so much more out of each book if you read then in the order they are published, Natasha Madison has shown us just how talented she is by taking us to a whole new level with this series and if you love emotional reads please do yourself a favour and one click this must read series. Can’t wait to see where we go next with this author who is certainly one of my go too’s.
What can I say about this story. This series was unlike anything I’ve ever read before. All 3 books are centred around one event that has altered a lot of people’s lives. This 5 star story really captured my undivided attention from the blurb.
This story is about Blake and Samantha. Samantha suffered the unimaginable and went through a lot. Blake is not suppose to be the one to help her through it, but he can’t seem to be able to stay away. He has been through an event in his past that’s been preventing him to move forward. Together they will heal each other.
What a story this was. I loved everything about it, but mostly the storyline because it was an unlikely couple that helped each other. They meshed well together. A storyline unlike anything I’ve ever read before. It was addicting and captivating. I never knew what was going to happen. I like the elements of being surprised. Bottomline is this is a must read.
This is the third book in Love Series. Told in a dual POV with an HEA. For better enjoyment I suggest that Perfect Love Story and Unexpected Love Story be read first.
Broken Love Story may be my favorite novel in this series. I had been anticipated Samantha and Blake’s story since the epilogue of Perfect Love Story. This book was beautiful, Samantha and Blake both had so much to overcome, so many broken parts to find a way to piece together. Theirs was a healing journey, and I loved that they were given the time they deserved to recover before they explored what they could have together.
Unlike most other reviewers, I found Samantha heartbreaking in the first two novels of this series. For as bad as things were for Hailey, they were a thousand times worse for Sam. I was so happy to find out we were getting her story and it was with someone as wonderful as Blake. Sam continually impressed me with her refusal to let all the things crashing down crush her under their weight. She let herself take a beat to feel the pain, then collected her bearings and showed her girls that she was stronger and better than anything thrown at her.
Blake was the perfect counterpoint to Samantha. He was equally broken but hadn’t quite let himself learn to feel again, whereas Samantha knew she needed to work through all that pain to come out the other side. He was such a pillar of strength for her in her weakest moments and in doing that he allowed himself the vulnerability he needed to open his heart again. It was quite lovely to see him begin to shed the shroud he’d wrapped himself in when his first love died.
Broken Love Story was more of a slow burn than the first two books in this series. The pacing was perfect though, any faster and it would have felt forced. They both needed the time they put in getting to know one another and begin to overcome all the trauma they’d faced. I’m a huge sucker for getting to witness a character’s healing arc, and this book delivered big time in that aspect. Sam and Blake picked up both their own and each other’s pieces and fit them together to form a connection that was far deeper and stronger than anything they’d experienced before.
I do have some wishes for Broken Love Story. There were a few places where the dialogue was just bizarre, I think Ms. Madison was going for sweeping statements of love, but they were so out of character they came off stilted and disjointed. I also had a few moments in the flashbacks where the writing felt forced and awkward like there was a split between making them an aside to the reader and just the character reliving the memories.
Broken Love Story is the third book in Natasha Madison’s Love series. These books are interconnected standalones and do not need to be read in order. They share a timeline, and the scenes involving characters from more than one book appear in each book, for the most part. Broken Love Story is written in dual first-person perspective, narrated by Samantha and Blake.
Blake and Samantha were A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !!!!!
This story was everything!!!!! I mean really what incredible talent this author has to bring the couples in this series together in ways you would never see coming until you do. All the stories have been fantastic, the plot line was fabulous, and Blake and Samantha ended the series in an epic fashion!
This story pulled at my heart strings from page one to the very end. Blake and Samantha were both such good people, you couldn’t help but to love them as individuals. Then they meet under the strangest of circumstances and you would never think they would get together. I mean figure the odds?! When I first figured out they would wind up together I was like hell no, she can’t pull that off, I mean what about Hailey? But then when I started reading this book I was like oh hell yeah she is totally going to pull this off and it is going to be fanfreakingtastic!!!!!!
I loved everything about Blake and Samantha and their story! I loved watching their relationship grow. I loved how he totally went to bat for her. I loved how they came together and how in love her girls were with him. I loved how accepting his family was. This was just a great story and I was so happy with how it all played out.
This is the third and final book in this unforgettable Love Story series, It can be a standalone but you Should Read The Entire Series, to understand how one person can completely destroy so many people’s life. Don’t worry they are so much stronger than the evil and overcome and end up better than before. I was so reluctant to this couple and even voiced it to the author, I was team Hailey I know their shouldn’t be sides but I gotta back my girl. This is Blake’s story who is Hailey’s brother I knew Blake was gonna blow me away from the first book, he is such a rock to his family. He is just an amazing human being that takes your breath away with all of his goodness. He ends up helping out a widower who is all alone with her two daughters, what starts out as friendship turns into healing love. I don’t want to give away anything, but you will be surprised and moved seeing Samantha just live everyday, it hurts but she is so strong and brave and comes out on top.
I was wrong so wrong these two belong together and they fit and the transition was so perfect I couldn’t put this read down. I will never doubt the authors intentions again. She can do no wrong and another book with unforgettable characters.
