You know that saying save the best for last? Natasha definitely did that with Broken Love Story! This book tore me apart and put me back together. Blake and Samantha are two broken souls that make each other whole. I cried right along with Samantha every time she cried. Samantha has my heart and I just want to hold Blake. Have tissues ready!
Broken Love Story
A beautiful story of when a death effects two families, one a brother in law the other a secret family. They should never have become friends but they do healing each other in a way no one saw coming.
Blake and Samantha’s story is beautifully written it’ll grab your heart and won’t let go.
Natasha Madison has brought a unique series and ended it with bang!
What an amazing end to such a breathtaking series. Broken Love Story is the final book in the Love Story series. In this installment we get Blake and Samantha’s story. Blake is disheartened when it comes to love due to sorrow from the past. Samantha is trying to keep her head above water when trying to piece her life back together after the passing of her husband. What happens when these two unlikely people find a kinship of sorts by a unique connection? This is a story of love, loss, pain, anger and rebirth. Samantha and Blake’s friendship blossoms from a beautiful, honest and supportive friendship to a love that is fierce. He gives her everything she has ever wanted. while she gives him life. This book was heartfelt and powerful and I loved every second it. Natasha Madison has taken me on a journey into her characters lives where her writing has touched my heart. This series is truly exceptional.
“We sat at the table for five minutes,” I tell him.
“It was in your eyes,” he says softly. “Someone holding that much pain doesn’t want to inflict it on someone else.”
To begin, I had not read the previous two stories in this series, but it didn’t affect me reading this one, except now I NEED to read Hailey & Crystal’s stories!
Right out of the gate this story socked me in the gut. I mean, I didn’t even get two pages of contentment until I was pulled into this story of brokenness. Now, I’m sure you’re thinking this review is off to a terrible start because I’m talking about how unhappy I was, but that’s not it at all. This story is one that revolves around broken people, broken lives, and how one person’s actions can be much farther reaching than they would think.
The Characters
Samantha is a woman who was lied to and lost her whole world because of one event. She had been brought into a world full of love and family, only to find that it wasn’t what she thought. This woman, though, completely inspired me. She was hurting in more ways than I can imagine, but she was so strong. By no means was she perfect, she broke down, got angry, and let herself down, but as she journeyed through her grief, I think she truly found herself.
Blake. Where can I find someone like this?! The heart of this man is completely stunning. He befriends someone who, in the midst of what’s happening in their lives, he probably shouldn’t, but for him it seems the only option. In cultivating this friendship, he finds someone who has a broken piece inside them similar to his own. The friendship that grows between these two is beautiful! I think that was my favorite part of the story – seeing Blake’s heart for everyone.
Henry & Joanne. LOVE THESE TWO! This couple is 100% #goals. I love seeing them take care of their family & fiercely fight for anyone that means something to them. They take on a task they probably shouldn’t have to, but they don’t do it begrudgingly – they put their whole heart into it. With them comes Nanny & she is definitely something! I would love to be adopted into this family.
Adrian, Judy, Ethan, Elliot. I don’t have many nice things to say about these folks, so I’m going to let you figure that out for yourself.
The Story
This story was much more complex than I was expecting. I grasped the basic premise within the first few chapters, but as I continued, the characters and their stories seemed to just keep developing. I know I’m late to this series, but it just seemed that there was so much to grasp. I was almost giddy when the situation wasn’t resolved easily and the character’s personalities evolved with their changing feelings and the changing events surrounding their lives. This is not a fluffy story thrown out simply for entertainment, but rather it reflects a lot of real life and I LOVED IT.
The Romance
I think this is one of my favorite love story developments. These two characters are genuinely broken and they don’t really remember how to love someone. In saying that, oftentimes in stories the characters seem to just magically “fall into” a relationship & everything is perfection. This story did not do that. Their love began as something even less than friendship – they didn’t hate one another, but they weren’t exactly comfortable with one another (for many reasons you’ll understand). When they developed an unorthodox friendship, it didn’t just jump forward into lust. It evolved in a way that was reflective of the brokenness within them both. Seriously, one of the most beautiful loves I’ve seen develop.
“I love her with my whole soul,” I start slowly. “I never thought I would be able to love again, but she fixed my broken.” … “And I want to fix her broken.”
This book!!!! I really can’t do this review justice. This is the story of Blake and Samantha. Two people completely broken by the loss of their loved ones. If you’ve read the first two books of this series(you don’t need to, to read this book) you already know their back story. Their love story defies the odds. It is messy, raw and beautiful! Expect to be hit with all the feels when you read this book because they are all there.
Broken Love Story is the book I have been waiting for what feels like FOREVER. There are books that literally break you to pieces and puts you back together again and this is one of those books. Blake and Samantha are such well thought out detailed characters that you can’t help but root for them. Loved loved LOVED this book!
Broken love story was a great finish to this series. it was the right amount of angst. It had you on this rollercoaster of emotions. Blake and samantha are so relatable in this book. you hurt when they hurt you cry when they cry. Natasha always delivers great romance novels and Broken love story is no different.
What a heart-wrenching emotion conclusion to this series (Or I think it’s the conclusion)! Absolutely, you must read the first two books before digging into this one. All three stories go hand in hand, but each with a different couple at the helm of each romance. Samantha and Blake’s story just had all of the feels to it. I smiled(especially when I read that someone else didn’t know the true meaning of Netflix and Chill…LOL), I fumed, and I wept. Parts of the story is actually simultaneously with the first two books. There were a few twists that I didn’t really see coming. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger. HEA all around. Well done!
What happens when you find out your husband has been killed in a car accident and that’s not the most tragic thing to happen? How do you move on? How do you keep going for your daughters when you feel betrayed by their father and his family?
It’s time for book three in this amazing series and we finally get the final perspective on what happened after Eric’s car accident. Don’t even begin to think that you know how this is going to play out this time around. Believe me, your going to be picking your jaw up off the floor!
This love story starts out with a broken woman and a man with a tragic past looking for answers for his beloved sister. Very quickly Blake realizes who’s the “bad guy” in this situation really is and it isn’t Samantha.
Samantha has no one of her own in this world except her 2 daughters. She thought her husband and his family had taken her in as one of their own, but she quickly finds out that’s not the case.
When Blake comes along she begins to form a bond with him, an unlikely friendship. And as time goes on, even with everything against them, that friendship grows into love.
Blake is amazing with Samantha and her daughters. He is the anchor they need in this storm. And Blake needs them to, past has been stopping him from truly living life to the fullest.
Don’t worry, in between the sniffles and watery eyes is the trademark humor this author is known for bringing to her books.
As always I can’t wait for more from this amazing author.
Welp. It’s official. Love Series 3. Laundy Librarian 0. I have cried while reading all 3 of these incredible books. This time, I made it to 84% through. So close. I may have a crying headache, but I wouldn’t change a thing. This love series will go down as one of my top 5 favorite series of all time.
Story Line: This is the story of Samantha and Blake. Blake is Hailey’s brother. Hailey is from book 1 of this series. I definitely recommend at bare minimum, reading Perfect Love Story BEFORE reading Broken Love Story. Trust me. Everything will just make much more sense. But anyways, Samantha was married to Eric. But so was Hailey. Except Eric was only legally married to Sam. Sam and Eric had two perfect little girls together. Well, Blake meets Sam through complete chaos. They are both mourning. And through that brokenness, they find their soul’s other half.
I’m not going to lie to you. When I realized who book 3 was about I was like nope. That’s a tall glass of nope. I could not imagine how these two could find a HEA together. Their stories are so difficult to read. There’s so much pain deep within them. I honestly didn’t think an epic love story was possible for them. How could it? He lost the love of his life. She lost what she thought was the love of hers. But their story is not only believable, but cry your eyes out, eat 5 Hershey bars, where’s the Excedrin beautiful.
Interaction: Blake is alpha, there’s no mistaking that. But he’s one of the gentlest ones I’ve ever read. Don’t get me wrong, he still has a take charge attitude. He still grunts and hisses when things upset him. But his heart recognizes Sam’s pain and knows she needs soft and delicate care. And Sam is so sweet. Like I almost have a toothache from some super sugary sweet cupcake frosting that she brings to the table. I wanted to hate her. GOD, I wanted to hate her. But I couldn’t. By page 2, all I wanted to do was hug her and feed her cookies and brownies and help her paint ugly colors on walls.
Laundry: Slow burn alert people. Retract the claws, it’s one of the best slow burns of all time. And come on. If these two did the naughty laundry round up in the second chapter, we would all be judging them for Sam moving on way too darn fast. But let me tell you, the laundry? Oh the laundry. Blake may be one of my favorites after some of the things I read. YEAH. You’re going to love him. But back off. He’s mine.
Depth: I think it goes without saying, there’s a lot of meat to this story. There’s douchebag in-laws, there’s protective services, there’s lawyers, there’s angst. Lordy, what isn’t there? You will be sucked into this amazing story from the very beginning and will not want it to end even after the second epilogue. This broken love story was everything. It gave me hope after unthinkable grief. It gave me restored faith in just how deep love can be. And left me feeling nothing but complete and utter happiness.
I was really excited for this book as it’s been a really enjoyable series and I was beyond intrigued as to how Samantha and Blake’s story was going to unfold and let’s just say I was not at all disappointed. I devoured this book in one sitting and for me, this series goes out on a real high.
I don’t want to spoil the story but I will say this story is all about the feels. It’s a story of heartbreak, healing and love. It’s sweet, sexy, emotional but has some real lovely humorous touches. There is drama and angst and overall this is a story that you just want to keep turning the pages for.
I really enjoyed this book and would heartily recommend it.
4.5 great stars
I don’t even really know how to put this review into words to do this book justice. Because this book is EVERYTHING!
This book has every emotion, it hits you right in the heart. This is the third installment of the Love Series by Natasha Madison and I can honestly say that this book is her best work I’ve read. She put everything you love into this story and what a beautiful broken love story it is.
These two characters couldn’t be more perfect for each other. Two broken souls finding their way to becoming whole with each other. No one would of ever thought that these two would fall but when they do it’s so heartwarming and absolutely beautiful.
Blake steps into a role that is very unlike anything he’s ever done. He’s not really living until he finds a purpose. And when Samantha and him grow close there’s not stopping it. Both hit by tragedy. Both not really knowing what to do. But together they are strong.
Natasha gives us everything you love in a romance and more!
Highly recommended.
The Love Series by Natasha Madison has allowed the reader to experience so many emotions and entering the final story, what will be the most intense in many ways, I wasn’t sure what to expect. This story far exceeded any level of emotions I thought I would feel. Blake and Samantha have found one another under some of the worst circumstances but somehow began a friendship no one would expect. Blake’s heart has been broken and empty for years, he just cannot let go of the past, of his one love, but can’t help but want to help Samantha through one of the worst events of her life. Samantha has been through the ultimate betrayal as a wife, but with two precious girls of her own, she has to continue to be strong and do whatever needs to be done to give them what they need. This is not your typical love story, we get to witness a very slow growing connection between two people who aren’t even thinking about falling in love. Blake is a man full of honor and kindness and we discover Samantha is a woman who has fought her whole life to have a family of her own, only to discover she still doesn’t have one, except for her two amazing little girls. This final story brings closure to this series beautifully and will fill your heart to overflowing with all the feels!
Broken Love Story
This story is so beautiful. While this is a standalone Blake and Samantha are introduced in the first book of this series. Blake heart is broken from loosing the only girl he ever loved while Samantha heart is broken because her husband dead which lead to uncover a web of lies. Tragedy bring they together, first as a friend which lead them to a beautiful love story. Because 2 broken hearts can be glue together a make complete one. This book is so full of emotions, loyalty and love.
It seems I have been waiting on this book for what seems like I forever. While I more than enjoyed and loved the first two books in this series ( The Perfect Love Story and Unexpected Love Story ), Broken Love Story officially owns me. The wait was more than worth it. This is the most perfect Broken Love Story that I have ever read. Broken Love Story is the third and last book in the Love Story series, and is interconnected with the previous books, but each book is about a different couple.
I knew going into Blake and Samantha’s story that it was not going to be an easy one. What I didn’t expect was, how truly heartbreaking it was going to be. How at times, it felt as if my heart was being ripped out of my chest and put into a meat grinder. I have a bucket of tears here that I wish I could mail to the author. Blake and Samantha’s story is very much an angsty read. A slow burn for sure, that flowed at the pace that was meant to be. Not one bit rushed, but just the right flow to make you feel what each character was feeling. This story is beautiful in such a unique way. A story that I will never forget as a mother, a significant other, and as an avid reader.
Samantha is point blank period, one of the strongest, bad*** heroines I ever read about. Having the “perfect” life suddenly ripped away from her, to finding out her life was basically a lie, she is that heroine that gives herself 10-15 minutes to cry it out and then boss up and does what needs to be done. She was so strong, and not afraid to speak her mind even when she knew she would get backlash. I honestly pray that my daughter grows up to be as strong as she is, to be the mother that she is, and to be an inspiration just like Samantha is.
Blake. There is just no words. He is by far, my favorite hero ever written. He is with out a doubt, a man every woman dreams of, a man that, every parent wants their daughters to grow up and marry. A fire fighter. The most loyal, dedicated family man and friend known to man kind. He has the patience of a saint and words that are pure wisdom, and when he loves, it is shown through every action, and every word from his mouth. He is just everything.
I know, I know I was kinda vague, BUT that is for a reason. Trust me, you want to experience this story for yourself, because it makes it that much better. It is beautiful and raw and so so inspiring, so let Blake and Samantha tell you in their own words, so you can see for yourself.
*I recommend this book to people who believe in second chances, to someone who knows that you can’t have the rainbow without a little rain. To someone that believes true love conquers all.
Broken Love Story is the third and final book in the Love Story series by Natasha Madison. This story follows Blake and Samantha, and I have to say it’s my favourite of them all!
Blake and Samantha’s paths cross when something terrible and life changing brings to light a heartbreaking discovery. Hoping to move on with the Love and support of her In-Laws, she starts to rebuild a life for her and her two girls. But when she begins to see them all in a new light, she struggles to make it through each day, feeling completely broken.
Blake knows exactly how his sister, and Samantha are both feeling, he too experienced loss seven years ago, and he vowed he could never love anyone again, he was far to broken. But something awakens in him the day he sees Samantha at Eric’s funeral, and he can’t help the feelings he’s experiencing every time he sees her or talks to her.
As their friendship grows, they begin to lean on each other more and more for support, until one day, when she truly thinks her world could end, he saves her.
Are they both destined to remain broken for the rest of their lives? Or can their broken pieces join together to make them whole again?
When I first found out that this book would be about Blake and Samantha, I will admit I was left wondering how Natasha would make this work. On paper they are possibly the least likely couple, BUT, within the first couple of chapters I just knew their story would be my favourite, and Natasha didn’t disappoint!
This story runs along the same timeframe as the first 2 books, so questions that arise during those stories are answered in Broken Love Story.
These characters are completely stripped back, baring their deepest thoughts and feelings to each other through some kind of kindred spirit connection. And it just works perfectly. The fact that there is no sexy time until very near the end just makes their budding relationship so much more believable.
It’s honest, raw, emotional and just so beautiful, it’s an addictive story with a stunning ending. This book will make you laugh, growl, swoon and cry your absolute heart out, but by the end of the book you will be smiling from ear to ear.
A perfect ending to the series, I highly recommend this book!
I knew Blake was going to be an all time favorite and the author definitely didn’t disappoint!
Blake and Samantha were so beautifully broken. This story has me crying, laughing and all the other emotions that go along with it.
As a woman and mother I could identify with Samantha and it had me wanting to fight on her behalf. That’s how you know it’s a great book.
I highly recommend this book!!
This is the third book of the Love series and even though it can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading all of them because you will really get the full effect of the characters and things that are happening in their lives.
This is Blake and Samantha’s story and it really brings us full circle. There are so many raw emotions in their story from love to hate, understanding to bitterness, loss to longing. I really loved this story overall, it was great to get the last of the details regarding Eric and his deception.
Blake…I really loved him as a character. He was so strong and so supportive, first to his sister and then Samantha and her girls. He is able to set his feelings aside even when he is not ready to do it. Blake has loved one girl, pretty much his entire life, and she was taken from him to soon. Since then no one has ever made him want to take a chance again…until his cousin drags him to meet the actual wife of his sisters husband…
Samantha is a strong character who just happens to be broken by her husband. She thought they were having small issues, she thought it was stress, she never expected him to have another wife. Now she has more questions than before and so much anger, bitterness that it is consuming her. She can not talk to her in laws but they think it was her own fault. So she turns to Blake for answers.
Neither of them were prepared for these feelings to emerge and neither is prepared to deal with them. But it is about so much more than them, and when it becomes a legal battle, they will have just each other to count on.

Broken Love Story is my new favorite story by this author. It really shows that there is always another side to every story.
Samantha has her whole world falling down around her when she loses her husband, his secrets are discovered, and the only family she has ever know now seem to be working against her.
Blake buried his heart along with his first love years ago. He sees both sides of this tragedy and can’t help but step in when he recognizes someone who seems just as broken as he is.
“What if you find someone who is just as broken as you are and”—she swallows, and her hand comes to my face as she cups my cheek in her hand—“together, you’re whole.”
This is not just another romance. It has some really unique twists, a hero and heroine to fall in love with and definitely some bad guys you will love to hate!!
-5 Stars!-
