If you haven’t started this series you are so missing out on some awesome books. I loved this as much as the previous books. This story happens parallel to the first two in the series so you see some overlapping parts. This book pulled every emotion out of me. The tears were flowing while reading this book. Though at times this book is gut wrenchingly sad it’s also so beautiful that my heart was happy sighing at the end. This book also had me laughing. It’s so well written. I had such a hard time putting it down. Luckily I started reading it on a day I didn’t have any plans because I binged read this book. I would highly recommend this book along with the other two in the series. They are make you feel good stories. It also shows you the power of hope and love.
Even though it could easily be read as a standalone, I will say this was my favorite of the series.
Blake is suffering from a permanent broken heart.
Samantha is trying to glue her broken heart back together.
Natasha pulled on all the heart strings on this one. I loved every broken character. I loved every page.
“What is one thing you would change?”
My answer –
NOTHING
HOLY. CRAP. This book just about drowned me in all the feels. I have been anticipating Samantha and Blake’s book since the first book of this series, and can I tell you, this book paid off big time. Blake is just the utmost perfect hero ever. Bar none, this guy is perfect, swoon-worthy, and INSANELY sexy. Samantha is that headstrong heroine that I NEEDED! I loved her character. There were so many times where her grief could have overwhelmed her and taken over, but she is a complete bada*s.
I can’t say enough good things about this book. It’s perfectly wonderful, and so flipping sweet and sexy! Samantha and Blake’s story absolutely rounded out this series with its emotional prose, heartwarming characters, and heated passion between the two main characters. If anyone is looking for a twisty, gut-wrenching, sexy, swoony romance, look no further. This book is thoroughly amazing!
Happy Reading!

Wow, I’m not sure how I can write a review that will do this phenomenal heart-wrenching emotional read any justice. Natasha has delivered us a simply all consuming tale that will have you completely enthralled from beginning to end full of heartbreak, pain, loss, healing and love. She has poured all the emotions into this book and they have been so well written that you feel every single one of them as go.
After reading the other books in the series I had an idea of the story as you have already read parts of it from Hailey’s perspective in Perfect Love Story but I was unsure as to how Samantha’s tale would unfold. Natasha didn’t disappoint, in fact this was my absolute favourite in this series. It was so intense, tissues were needed as it made me sob like a baby.
Samantha thought she had the perfect life, 2 gorgeous girls, loving husband, great in-laws but all in one hit it all comes tumbling down around her and she finds her life is based on lies. The man she loved has betrayed her in the worst way possible. As she struggles to hold everything together for her girls sake she struggles with her anger towards her husband and the way his family is suddenly treating her.
Blake loved his childhood sweatheart but when she passed away he was lost and just functioning. He is unable to move on. When his sister goes through her loss, it brings all the grief back. Its only when he connects with Samantha, the last person he should talk too, he starts coming back to life and becomes opens to new possibilities.
I cannot wait to see what Natasha brings us next
I highly recommend this book and series. Natasha Madison created these two strong people that have been tragically broken, and set them in a vivid world that pulls you right into the story. For each book in the series I couldn’t believe how the next book could top it, and it did in such a satisfying way.
Natasha Madison has released fourteen books, all of which I have read and loved. She’s one of those authors who you’re guaranteed to get lost in the story. Her characters are so wonderful that you’ll walk away more than half in love with them – and I don’t just mean the Hero! I have laughed until I cried; and ugly-cried until I laughed. I can’t think of a signal book that I’ve read by Madison that is anything less than a 4-star read. Broken Love Story continues to demonstrate just how incredibly talented Natasha Madison is. As the third book in her Perfect Love Story trilogy, Broken Love Story was absolutely incredible. Since, I have read everything Madison’s released to date, I was still taken by surprise with her ability to redeem the villain. Until now, readers only had Hailey’s side of the tragedy that ripped her entire world apart. Yet, Broken Love Story introduces the readers to Samantha – the other wife – and suddenly the tragedy has entirely new
Broken Love Story is nothing short of a 5-star read. Natasha Madison takes the aforementioned villain from Perfect Love Story, Samantha and not only redeems her, but gives Samantha her own HEA. Samantha’s entire world came crashing down around her when another woman answered her husband’s phone. Now, ordered to silence by her in-laws, Samantha can’t help the anger and curiosity that consumes her. Only the shackles imposed on Samantha also led her to Blake, Hailey’s brother, to get the missing puzzle pieces she so desperately needs. As the relationship evolves between Samantha and Blake, her relationship with her in-laws continues to deteriorate. Through every trial she experiences, readers will come to appreciate how truly strong Samantha is. And one thing is evident, Samantha was never the villain. As a heroine, Samantha is beautiful inside and out. And Blake, **huge sigh** Blake is quite the hero. You won’t walk away from this story unscathed… and be prepared to fall head-over-heels for Blake. Otherwise, I don’t want to say a lot about the characters because I want you to experience them for yourself.
Everything about Broken Love Story is extremely well done. The plot is gripping, with moments that will break your heart melded with a sweet love story. The pace was flawless, neither too fast nor too slow and fit the story perfectly. I was so engrossed in the story that Madison wove I couldn’t have put my kindle down if I wanted to. I got lost in the slow simmer that built between Samantha and Blake. And I love that Madison wrote a love story that began in the midst of tragedy. Broken Love Story is told in duel perspectives, so the reader will really get to know Samantha and Blake. The list of reasons I could give you for why Broken Love Story was a 5-star read continue, but if you’re scoping out the reviews, you’ll see that mine isn’t the only 5-star review. One last thing I feel is important to impart for those of you that are new to Madison, while you truly can never go wrong with anything Natasha Madison writes, I would recommend reading Perfect Love Story before you read Broken Love Story. Although they are both standalones involving separate couples, there is enough overlap that reading them in order would likely heighten your enjoyment of the books.
Where do I begin? This has been one of the best book hangovers I’ve ever had.
If you’ve read this series, you know that this is the final installment. This story follows Blake and Samantha.
Eric’s death revealed so much and as bad as I felt for Hailey, my heart broke for Samantha too. She was just a victim in this and the fact that she had 2 little girls was even worse. I think what had me feel for her more is the fact that she had no one there for her. Her so called inlaws showed their true colors. she was all alone until Blake.
*Sigh* Blake…I love him. What am amazing friend he was to her. He’s been dealing with his own heartbreak for years. He lost the love of his life at an early age and he’s just been living, but not living if that makes sense. As he is there for Samantha and her girls, you see their relationship grow. I loved their little conversations and the more Samantha spoke to him, she became a stronger person. As she’s becoming stronger, we see Blake start to slowly get that spark back.
It’s hard for the both of them, but together they are stronger. There’s so much I can say, but words won’t do it any justice. Things are revealed that will have you shocked, but besides that, this was a beautiful story. From loss, anger, sadness, to healing, love and being put back together after all the pain, this is by far one of my top reads this year. Meet these couples and go on their journey. One man’s death might have started all of this, but because of that, so much more comes out of it.
Bravo Natasha for an AMAZING series!
“What would you change if you could?”
Natasha Madison is no stranger to my TOP FAVORITES list, and what she brought to the table with BROKEN LOVE STORY, the EPIC finale to her Love Series, just BLEW ME AWAY emotionally, mentally, and physically. Talk about two broken souls brought together by tragedy after tragedy…I’m just so speechless. The crazy thing is, is that I knew what was coming because I’ve read the two books before and it revolves around a single event, and it still completely shattered my heart. With BROKEN LOVE STORY we learn why Blake is a broken man with a huge hole in his heart and I was wrecked! The way this author brought Samantha and Blake together in such a prolific way, but at the same time it was tasteful, beautiful, and magical…I couldn’t have dreamt for a better happily ever after for them.
All of these characters in this series have touched and warmed my heart in some way or another. Natasha Madison creates characters that stick with you…characters that bury themselves so deep into your soul, they become unforgettable. And that’s what Hailey, Jensen, Crystal, Gabe, Samantha, and Blake are…UNFORGETTABLE! Bravo to this author for making me bawl my eyes out, for making me feel so damn much, and for making a statement in this genre. You are a true talent, my friend, and I can’t wait to see what you WOW us with next!
From the moment Samantha’s existence was discovered in Perfect Love Story I itched for her story.
All three of the books in the Love Series tears are your heart; it doesnt just break your heart but rips it to shreds and slowly pieces it back together.
Each book is startlingly emotional and utterly beautiful but Broken Love Story is so much more. Ms. Madison has written her absolute best book yet.
This story of two broken souls on their path to love and healing is all consuming and beautiful. I devoted this story for so many reasons. I had to see how one man’s mistakes impacted another life but I also felt an incredible need to see and experience Samantha’s HEA.
I throughly enjoyed how each story was interconnected and how we had already met both Samantha and Blake. From the first moment we met Blake I just knew he was someone special.
I love how Blake always stood by his family, as we learned more about him my love for him grew. As shattered as Samantha is by her deceased husband’s infidelity Blake is similarly broken.
Ultimately the question is can two exceptionally broken people find the strength to heal their hearts and love again?
Ms. Madison shows that hope truly is the last to die as Samantha and Blake embark on their journey.
Natasha Madison left the best for last.
Perfect left me FEELING.
Unexpected left me HAPPY.
Broken left me PERFECT.
In this world, it was Blake and Samantha I desperately wanted to have a HEA. These two people for reasons beyond their control needed life to hand them a break. Even when they found each other, life was betting against them. It is this story that left it for such a page turner.
Natasha’s storytelling appeals to the inner hearts & flowers we all want to feel and enjoy in contemporary romance. Although this story has heartbreak written all over it, it’s the perseverance that the two characters deserve that keeps the reader engaged. It wasn’t a rollercoaster – this story was a day on the ocean. A story where an occasional rogue wave tries to knock down the MCs but they have what it takes to stand. They are not broken – they are each other’s missing piece to make a perfect whole.
By all means, I strongly recommend that you read all three books. Although Blake and Samantha’s story has qualities of a fantastic standalone within the series, seeing the backstories to the others in Perfect and Unexpected contribute to the series enjoyment. If you love ‘true’ contemporary romance, pick up the series and diving in for binge read that can’t be missed! 5 out of 5 must read stars
What a series this has been! My poor heart was broken and healed in every addition to the series. At the end of Perfect Love Story when Natasha Madison hit us with Blake sitting with his wife or girlfriend (I can’t recall the specifics) I just KNEW who it was going to be. If I was a writer, it’s what I would do. I feel like that messed with my mind the most. I couldn’t see how this could all be ok, or acceptable after everything Hailey was put through. But I had complete faith in the writing of Ms. Madison. I knew she was going to break me a bit while putting this all together for me. I wish, WISH, I could really tell you the love I have for this book, this entire series.
I think what really pulled me in and intrigued my mind was seeing another side to the story. I’ll be honest, I was seriously #TeamHailey and nothing was swaying my mind there. But getting Samantha’s side, it’s easy to see how everything happened… it’s easy to feel for her too. It isn’t Hailey against Samantha and that’s really how I felt. Eric played them BOTH for fools. They should both be able to carry one and live better. I wanted them both too… they deserve to stick it to him the best way they can!
Ms. Madison wrote one of my favorite series ever! This story of love transcends through all the difficult days and heartbreaking events. Nothing about these books is easy, but they are incredibly creative and Ms. Madison touched my heart. She shows you the true strength of people. How strong and resilient we truly are.
*4.5 stars*
So I knew going into this story that it probably was going to be an emotional read – totally recommend you read books 1 & 2 first if you haven’t already! – and it was pretty much the read I was expecting, with a couple of twists thrown in.
This story broke me a bit and then made me mad and then started slowly putting me back together again. A bit of a slow burn romance but totally worth it. Great read, great story and perfect conclusion to the trilogy. Don’t hesitate to give this trio of love stories a try – you won’t be disappointed.
5 Heartbreakingly Beautiful Stars

A painfully beautiful, heart wrenching love story. This book was absolutely brilliant! Broken Love Story is the third and final book in the Love Series by Natasha Madison. It is by far my favorite book in the series, this coming from someone who raved about the first two books.
After both their worlds have been altered by one man and his actions, Samantha and Blake come together in an unconventional way. Blake is immediately drawn to the loss and pain Samantha is suffering, he’s been there and knows what it feels like to lose the most important person in your life. This though, this is so much worse, not only did Samantha lose her husband, she found out he was leading a double life, one in which Blake was his brother in law. So here they are, Blake can’t seem to let things go, and she needs answers, answers only Blake can give.
What was supposed to be a couple of questions, slowly turned into long conversations, laughs, smiles and tender moments. Friendship turned into love and lust, soon Samantha was head over heels in love with a man she thought could never love her in return. That was one assumption she had wrong, not only had Blake opened up to the opportunity of falling in love again, he was already there and Samantha was the recipient.
This book was tragic and heartbreaking. I didn’t just cry, I sobbed. I sobbed for the loss Samantha suffered, the loss of the man she thought she loved, but more than that, the loss of the family she thought she had. I cried for Blake and his loss. I cried for all the hardships they had to face, alone and as a couple. I kept cheering for them, hoping they’d finally found their better half. Two broken halves making it as one.
Madison took us on a beautiful journey of hope and second chances. A wonderful ending to an amazing series! The characters she developed felt so unbelievably real, I couldn’t help but fall in love with them. Madison is an amazing writer, her words captured me and immersed me into the world she wrote. Broken Love Story was flawless, a must read!
If there were 2 more deserving people, of a HEA, Sam and Blake are it.
As if finding out your husband had died in a car crash, leaving you a widow and a single mother to two young girls, wasn’t bad enough, imagine finding this out from his ‘other wife’ someone he married 6 months ago, without either of you knowing about his ‘other’ life.
Blake lost the love of his life to cancer 6 years ago and hasn’t been able to move on since.
Can 2 broken halves make a whole? It seems they can, and can help mend each other’s hearts along the way.
Sam and Blake meet when he and Crystal go to confront the woman who was married to Hayley’s husband, Eric (Urgh even writing his name makes my blood boil), the woman he has two daughters with and who he’s been married to for years. Sam doesn’t know how to deal with life after Eric’s death, she wants to break down, scream and cry and lose it about the man who betrayed her and broke her heart on his deathbed, but she has to keep it together for her family, until the only family she has known, start to turn on her. Blake becomes her only friend, the one who is always at the end of a phone, or is just a few hours drive away when things are falling apart. To Blake, Sam is a friend until she becomes the second chance at a future, he didn’t think he had.
Wow! What an end to an amazing rollercoaster ride of emotions, series. I’ve never, laughed, cried, swooned and got so angry I almost threw my kindle reading a series, ever. This book has everything, a surprise you won’t see coming and so much heart, your own will burst.
Natasha Madison is always my go to, I know she will bring her A game every time and this was no different, she smashed my expectations out of the park and obliterated my heart along the way, but as always, put it back together a little more fuller.

Broken Love Story is just that…the incredible love story of two broken people finding their “person” and realizing that love DOESN’T have to hurt when you’re with the right one!
I ADORED EVERYTHING about this , completely ℕℝ story of shattered hearts, forgiveness, betrayal of the highest order and how two souls that were destined to be together overcome it all! The heart-breaking twits and turns, the …this is Natasha Madison at her VERY best!!!!
I loved the build up of this slow-burn romance, the way you FEEL ALL THE FEELS, the gamut of emotions had me ready to throw my kindle to laughing at the hilarious banter to fanning myself at the HAWT sex scenes to the ULTIMATE conclusion of THE BEST BOOK FROM NATASHA MADISON TO DATE!!! I feel like I say that every time I finish one of her books, but it’s true….Broken Love Story BROKE me in the BEST way and I can’t recommend this book (AND this series) strongly enough!!! Thank you Natasha, for giving me MY FAVE BBF of 2018!!!
I sometimes seriously question my sanity when it comes to signing up for romance books to read/review, not because of the quality of the writing, but because of the amount of emotional torment I subject myself to when I dive into an angsty and heart wrenching read.
The title alone, Broken Love Story, should have been my clue-in that Natasha Madison’s newest release was going to shred my heart and make me question if love is worth the pain and sadness that could possibly come with such a delicate feeling.
But while my emotions were all over the place for the duration of the time I spent reading Blake and Samantha’s story, I don’t regret any of the anguish or heartbreak I felt for the hero and heroine as they worked through their grief, their anger, and the obstacles that seemed to constantly be in their way as what they felt for each other turned into something so much more than they could have imagined.
Given the awkward and impossible situation that brought Blake and Samantha together, I really didn’t know how Natasha Madison would make a relationship between them plausible because while Samantha was just as much a victim of Eric’s lies and deceits, Eric’s other family…the members of his other life don’t quite see Samantha as completely innocent and what she represents to many people involved in Blake’s life, especially his sister, is a major road block for any kind of friendship between Blake and Samantha let alone something romantic developing between them. But Madison worked her storytelling magic and positions these two broken souls in one another’s path, allowing them a way to heal their fractured hearts and slowly repair the painful cracks that they thought would remain open wounds forever.
Readers who have read the entire Love Series are very familiar with who Blake is and what he has had to endure, but who Samantha is, is very much unknown besides the assumptions that have been made about her given the role she played in Eric’s life. So, in a lot of ways, this is more Samantha’s story than Blake’s but because both of them need someone in their corner to help them move forward, to live the best life they can, surprisingly enough, they find what they need in one another’s arms and hearts.
Blake and Samantha’s restorative path is not an easy one; in fact, it’s extremely difficult and complicated given everything and everyone they’re up against, but their resilience, their dedication, and their desire for love sees them through, allowing them to not give up, even when their brokenness seems irreparable, and that’s the message this story provides readers, and it’s an invaluable life lesson.
4.5 Poison Apples
Oh man this book. I never thought I’d like Samantha but now that I’ve read her story I absolutely love her. This book will leave you gasping for air. My heart was ripped out repeatedly. I’ve loved Blake since the first book but after reading Broken Love Story he’s now my favorite hero of this series and most definitely my favorite character of Natasha Madison’s. Blake is definitely a hero. Samantha was completely destroyed by everyone who should have protected her and cherished her. Blake slowly mended the pieces of her broken soul. This book is a beautiful slow burn love story about two broken souls healing each other and becoming one beautiful love story. The reader needs to read Perfect Love Story and Unexpected Love Story first but each one leads up to this beautiful ending. This series is wonderful and Broken Love Story is the perfect emotional ending.
Oh my word, I have to say if you haven’t read any of this authors books, start with this series. From book one till book three i have been anxious on edge and some parts just crying.
Natasha you made me cry again.
How do you recover from all the lies you find out from your husband. And then you cant even confront him you can’t be angry at him scream and shout. And the only person who is there for you is the ‘other womens’ brother, Blake
Blake has his own sadness and his own issues. But when he meets Samantha he can’t step back and he can’t keep away from her.
Can they be each other’s life line. Can two broken hearts help heal each other.
This series, man so freaking amazing and sad and heartbreaking. How one person’s actions can do bring so many people together and change their lives. You will not be able to help yourself when you dive into this series and fall in love with each character. One of the top series for me this this year. Natasha I don’t know how you are going to top this, but i know you wont disappoint.
I absolutely loved this book! This author truly has a magical touch to make characters you think are the enemy and turn them into ones you love. Blake and Samantha were everything and holy plot twist, Batman.
Natasha Madison left me absolutely speechless with Broken Love Story. It was so perfectly written and flowed beautifully. I’m not sure how Madison was able to make the pairing of Blake and Samantha so believable. They are the least two likely characters to ever come together, but she did it! There were so many obstacles standing between these two, but they truly encompass the belief that love can overcome anything. I’m always a sucker for a friends first romance with a nice building passion.
What truly made this story for me was the meaning of family that was strung throughout the story. Family is always there. Some people (like Samantha) unfortunately aren’t so blessed. If you have read the first two books in the series, then you will love Broken Love Story. You will get caught up on all your favorite characters, and there are some twists and turns in the story that will leave you in shock.
