I’ve been waiting impatiently for Samantha’s story since the beginning of this series and it really was everything I was hoping it would be.
Blake and Samantha are two broken souls and given the circumstances of them knowing each other, you wouldn’t expect them to be the one the other needs. Samantha never expected to have her world rocked like she did when her husband died. Left to pick up the pieces for the sake of her kids, she’s trying to deal with her feelings. I adored Samantha. She’s hurting, angry, everything you’d expect her to feel. But she’s also determined to move on with her life and with Blake’s help, that’s exactly what she does.
Blake has suffered his own loss and although he’s had time to deal with what happened, he’s never really opened himself up to love again. Blake is everything a book boyfriend should be. He’s sweet, loyal and wants to do what’s right for Samantha and her kids. He’s the support system she never knew she needed and together they slowly start to heal each other. Of course nothing’s ever plain sailing and with Samantha’s in laws trying to interfere along with the history Samantha shares with Blake’s sister, they have plenty of obstacles to overcome.
Broken Love Story was everything I’ve come to expect from this author. I’ve been a massive fan since Natasha Madisons debut book and she never fails to bring all the feels in her books. This one been no exception. The characters are very easy to connect with, the story kept me hooked from page one and I did find parts of this story really emotional. The range of feelings Samantha goes through make her very easy to relate to and gave an added depth to her character. If you’re looking for a story about second chances and new beginnings, I highly recommend this book.
This story right here was absolutely everything!!!! Hands down my favorite book in the whole series. Blake and Samantha were exactly what each other needed to heal from their pasts and open themselves up to being in love again. Samantha’s world was crumbling right in front of her….she learned that her husband who recently passed away was with another. Now his family who was her rock throughout this time is turning their back on her. She feels alone. Blake was her shining knight in armor throughout all of this. What starts out as friendship for the two of them turns into true love. They were absolutely perfect for each other. I laughed, cried (a lot), and swooned during the sweet and very hot moments. I was hooked from the very first page and hated to see their story end. I loved everything about this book and I would highly recommend this story to everyone. It is just that good. I can’t wait to read what comes out next by this talented author. Another phenomenal 5 star book for me….well done!!!!

OMG!!!! This story blew my mind!!! It was so much better than I could’ve expected. This is definitely my FAVORITE of the three books in this series!!
I was so excited to read this book when I found out it was going to be Blake and Samantha’s story. I’ve never met two characters who deserved a HEA more than these two.
This story was full of emotion but also love. I was afraid this was going to be kind of like a retelling of the first two books in this series but just from Blake’s POV adding in some new stuff from Samantha, but I was so wrong. Yes we do get some overlap in the story but this book felt like a completely different story. This book actually took me by surprise, there were things revealed in this story that I wasn’t expecting AT ALL!!!! I loved that!!!
I do feel this book was the more emotional story of the three. Just what is revealed and what Blake’s back story is, my heart broke on many instances. You will want tissues with you when you read this book (actually the whole series). I felt the flow and pace of this story was perfection!! This is definitely a slow burn between Samantha and Blake, but it is the ONLY way this story could be told. I love watching their friendship slowly build into something more. Taking both of them by surprise. I haven’t read that many books by Natasha Madison, but after reading this series, I plan to go back and read all her books and she has a fan for life.
Broken Love Story is the third and final book in her Love Series. These books can be read as standalones, but I really wouldn’t recommend them. You should read these books in order. This book is told in Dual POV. In this story we follow Blake and Samantha. Blake is Hailey’s (heroine from book 1) brother, who many years ago lost the love of his life. And Samantha is a Widow who has had her entire life turned upside down by one phone call. When tragedy strikes these two, neither one could’ve expected what would happen and how one lie could change their lives forever. I don’t want to say much more about this storyline because this is one that needs to unravel for each reader. Just trust me you will WANT to read this book!!!
I loved almost every secondary character in this series. I loved how the secondary character then turned into primary characters and you couldn’t help but root for them all. We get to see a different side to some of the secondary characters in this story and let me tell you…it wasn’t pretty!!! (Eric’s family) Overall most of the characters were easy to love. Especially the kids of this series!! They absolutely melted my heart.
I am sad to see this series come to an end, but I am so happy with the way it ended!!! I couldn’t have asked for more!!
This is one I will read again and again. I would 100% recommend this book to all readers. You will get swept up in this story and these characters lives. 1-click this book as soon as it comes out!!! You won’t be sorry.
5 Star review of Broken Love Story (Love #3) by Natasha Madison
Wow, where do I start? This was one of those books that hooked me from the first chapter and refused to let me go. I went through so many emotions reading this book that I felt like I was on a never ending roller coaster. There was humour, angst, sadness and so much more.
I fell hard for all the characters in this story. Such was the depth and strength of Natasha Madison’s writing and her ability to draw the reader in. This book is a story of love, hope and romance well written and one I highly recommend.
Struggling to overcome the death of her husband, Samantha also has to face the fact that her marriage was not all she thought it was and with his death she uncovers betrayal so deep it is overwhelming.
Blake is a man tormented by his past and unable to move past his pain.
When they meet, there is attraction and they both wonder if it is possible that they may be able to help each other heal and in turn move forward together.
There is something about Blake and Samantha that will draw you in. My heart broke for them at times. If anyone deserves true happiness it is Blake and Samantha and I cannot recall when I last cheered for a couple so much.
This was always going to be an emotional read and I knew that it would be a book that tugged at my heart. A story that will give you hope and inspire you.
This was such an amazingly beautiful and emotional read. This series is simply stunning and Broken Love Story, the series finale if you will, is just incredible! I would highly suggest reading these in order because although they are each about a different couple, the series of events at the start of each book is the event that changes the lives of all of these wonderful characters throughout the series. These books truly are beautifully written and the characters are so amazing and well developed. I just cannot say enough about how much I have loved and enjoyed every single second I spent reading!
I had a feeling Blake was going to own my heart, and I was so right! This heartwarming and sometimes gut wrenching story gives us a slow burn love story as well as a long healing journey for both Samantha and Blake as they manage to form a friendship through the tragedy that has deeply touched both of their lives and pick up all of the shattered pieces of their hearts. Together they find a way to get strong and move on and just simply shine separately and finally as a couple. I was on such a roller coaster ride of emotions from crying to laughing to being so angry all the way to my heart being so full of joy and satisfaction at the way this incredible story ended. This whole Love series is a must read!!
This book like the others in the series is aptly named. I must say I absolutely love this standalone series which stem from the characters around one action. There is some recap of the action but not enough to be repetitive which I am absolutely thrilled about. The characters just rip your heart out with their emotions. ok now the story. This is about 2 people broken by loss. Totally love these two as they mend one from anger and betrayal and one from a loss at a young age. Loss no matter the circumstances has placed them both in an emotional cocoon. He can’t move forward because he hasn’t moved past the pain of his loss which we learn about thru flashbacks. Somehow these two connect and the pain, the loss, the anger, their hearts connect.
This is an emotional read that will force you thru the stages of loss with them. The betrayal of those closest and reveal more than expected as they help each other thru rough times and get to know themselves. There is growth and understanding and a full gambit of issues to deal with and this author handles it all so well you forget it’s just a book. They find themselves and learn what’s broken can be fixed.
Gah! How have I not read this story yet?!?!?! I adored the first two in the series and always new I wanted to read Blake and Samantha and how their lives turned out. Natasha Madison did an amazing job of writing about the other view in a twisted, complicated relationship between three people. How she was able to tie in this “forbidden” love was truly beautiful and made my heart sigh in happiness at the end of this book. She was able to make me angry, laugh, and shed a tear. A broken love story that heals the soul.
Love it!!!
I loved the book and story.
Loved loved loved this book beginning to end which completely surprised me. If you’ve been reading the other book in this series then you already have been introduced to Samantha (Eric’s wife) and Blake (Hailey’s brother) and when you read the blurb if you’re like me you’re probably thinking umm no hard pass, but let me tell you it is my favorite of the series without a doubt!
Samantha her entire world came crashing down with one phone call, she knew her marriage was rocky but to think her husband actually married someone else? Deep down she knew he was being unfaithful but now he’s dead, the father to their two girls is dead, she was an orphan and the only family she has left is Eric’s but they’ve always been there, always loved her and the girls, unfortunately her entire world is about to come crashing down in more ways than she ever could have imagined possible.
Blake gave his heart away a long time ago to his high school sweetheart. Unfortunately she was taken from this world far too soon but Blake has never recovered at least romantically. When that call came that completely changed his sister Hailey’s life he was her rock he held her and vowed to make this okay eventually. Blake and Hailey’s best friend Crystal drive the two hours over to meet Eric’s other wife and Blake’s life will forever be changed. What happens when she’s not the villain they’ve all envisioned her to be? When she is forcing herself to get out of bed everyday only for her girls? When she isn’t the one behind the nasty letters being sent to Hailey?
Blake and Samantha start out only as friends acquaintances even. Samantha needs answers and Blake has them, they start out just talking each night as she has more and more questions about the double life her husband was living. As Samantha starts to revive more answers it becomes harder to remain quiet, to constantly be told what a great man Eric was, while she’s sitting their and unraveling their life of secrets. The only support system Samantha has ever known isn’t happen with her wanting to move on, paint the walls, go through Eric’s clothes and they start to become people she realizes she’s never met.
Blake and Samantha’s story is full of heartache, secrets but also about two unlikely people learning how to stand on their own to feet but also become each others rocks when they so desperately need anything to truly tell them that life will be okay again. Blake loving Samantha and her kids won’t be an easy road but the best things in live rarely are!

This book is emotionally charged, I cried more than once. It’s a book that everyone who has ever love, loss and grieve for someone they love should read. Loosing someone you love, someone that either complete you or make you want to live and then suddenly you loose that person. Life can seem impossible to move on, then you meet that one person that can help you get back up. The strength of the characters, the love and support of family. A poignant love story that started out on the wrong foot and blossomed into the perfect Love Story.
This is the third installment in the series and after reading the first two that I already thought were emotional, I knew this one was going to blow it out of the water and it did. Two broken souls trying to find some shelter from what broke them and trying to find a way to heal. Yep at times I really wanted to throw my kindle. I truly loved Samantha and Blake’s story!
Samantha never thought there would ever come a time she would get betrayed by her husband in a way she had to deal with now but she tries to hold it together for her two little girls. But it’s not easy when she finds out piece by piece what lies she’s been living in. Now trying to hold herself up and maybe find a way to pick up the pieces, in all the heartbreak she gets betrayed once again by a family she thought would always be there for her. But in all the heartache she gets support from an unexpected corner. Even though Blake also has a broken past he can’t seem to ignore what he’s feeling for Samantha and the more time they spend together, the more their hearts seem to heal. But something dreadful is hanging over their heads. Will they finally get the peace they deserve?…
For a few years now Natasha Madison has been my go to author. There is something about her characters and her writing that is not only addicting but also all-consuming. I always finish the novel feeling completed.
Broken Love Story is the final book in the Love Story series.
Blake and Samantha’s story is one that I’ve been highly anticipating for a while now.
Novel Breakdown:
Blake never imagined in a million years he would wake up one morning and receive such devastating news, his brother-in-law is gone, but what’s worse is when he finds out the man he considered to be a brother has been leading a double life and the only thing he left behind to explain his actions is a letter. When Blake and Crystal decide to meet the woman who is Eric’s true wife, the unexpected happens… Blake’s shattered heart starts to mend.
Being a ward of the state, Samantha lived her life bouncing from foster homes until she met and married Eric at nineteen years old. Her dream was to always have a family and now those dreams have come true. She has a husband and two beautiful daughters, and Eric’s family who has accepted her with their arms wide open. So what happens when Samantha wakes up to realize her whole world just came crashing down around her leaving nothing but secrets and questions of why in the dust.
My Thoughts:
Broken Love Story is exactly that. This novel is the story of two broken souls coming together and creating one. Broken Love Story shows that life isn’t always easy and love stories aren’t all full of romance. Sometimes you have to go through the pain and agony life throws at you. The pain and agony that makes you see the world differently and in the end game makes you appreciate the smaller details in life and love. Blake and Samantha’s love story shows truth and how fragile life and love can be.
The first quarter of the novel skims over details we already know. In a way, it was a bit repetitive on Blake’s side, which caused me to scan over the details I already knew about. However, I was intrigued by Samantha’s point of view in the beginning. Her story is one we haven’t yet heard. I learned one thing throughout this novel…and as I predicted in the past novels…. Eric’s family are nothing but a bunch of douche canoes! I hated all of their self-righteous ass’s.
However, I couldn’t contain my giddiness as Blake and Samantha’s relationship started to develop and further grow but in the back of my mind one question was continuously floating around, What is Hailey going to think of this relationship?
Overall, Broken Love Story is a great romance that consumed my entire day. I couldn’t put this book down. Blake and Samantha’s story is one that you should definitely pick up.
I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about Samantha after reading Hailey’s story…but I loved her. She was Eric’s victim just as much as Hailey was. Blake brought her out of her shell and showed her that she was stronger than she ever imagined she was. In turn, Samantha brought Blake back to life. So perfect for each other.
Samantha is broken. Growing up with no family, she thought she’d found her “Happily Ever After”. Fate had another idea. Left to raise her two girls alone, she finds friendship from an unlikely and unexpected person. Blake has been broken for years. Losing his one and only love years ago. These two have enormous obstacles to overcome. Can they do it together?
I have no words that will ever do this book justice. This story brings everything full circle. I have never had such a strong change of heart for a character. EVER. I loathed Samantha in Hailey’s story, but now I’m utterly in awe of her and her strength!
So beautifully written. Samantha and Blake’s story completes this journey. An exquisite story of forgiveness, understanding, strength, and compassion like I’ve never known. This series is so deeply embedded in my soul! It will be with me for a very long time. I absolutely adored it! Fantastic story! Grab your tissues and your stress ball! This book will have you wanting both! AN ABSOLUTE MUST READ!!! 5 easy stars! If I could give more I would!
For all those on pins and needles for Blake’s book…..it’s here! I was so looking forward to this book! This is the third book in Natasha Madison’s The Love Series. It can be read as a stand alone, but will best be enjoyed after reading the first two books in this series.
This book is so aptly named. Broken Love Story. Our hero and heroine are both broken souls. And as mentioned several times in the book, these two broken hearts come together to complete each other. Blake is still mourning a love lost tragically seven years earlier. Samantha has her own devastating heartbreak. Betrayed in the cruelest way by the husband she had been with for twelve years. It is an emotional journey as they find their way to each other.
I went into this book expecting the humor, heat, and banter that made Unexpected Love Story so awesome. Maybe at first being disappointed that this is not what I would get. But it would have been wrong for these characters. Samantha had some serious external problems. Their relationship begins as Blake reaches out to Sam, his gut telling him she needs a friend. And does she ever! Not only has Samantha been betrayed by her husband….but by those she had come to think of as her family. Blake is such a great guy. He becomes her shoulder to lean on. These two fall for each other emotionally first. The physical comes much later. And that was right for these characters. They are not the types to simply fall into bed with someone.
My only complaint would be that they don’t begin to spend significant time with each other until the last half of the book. I would have liked to have seen more of that earlier on. But still a great read! I loved catching up with Hailey and Jensen ( Perfect Love Story) and Crystal and Gabe ( Unexpected Love Story). Things were wrapped up so nicely at the end for all these characters that I have grown to care about. Enjoyable addition to this series!

What can I say about this book but WOW! And this series is totally one of the best series I’ve ever read!! I love how she started each one from that persons POV from the exact same spot. I don’t want it to end like seriously Natasha can keep writing just anything about them, like their get together’s at Christmas or Thanksgiving and I would so totally buy it and read it!! And Broken Love Story ahhh Blake was just so sweet and selfless and endearing and I fell in love with him in book 1 and kept falling in Book 2 but this book, his book, it was over with I was done with. Samantha thinks she’s the enemy but she needs answers and he did call and check on her so why not see if she can see if he will answer some questions. Well one phone call turns into a lot along with texts and then she needs help and Blake steps up and shows he truly is a friend. But she’s done fell but she’s been broken and he’s been broken. And she doesn’t know if she will ever be accepted into his family anyway, remember enemy here or is she? This book in some ways hit close to home with some of the fighting and bickering so I was a basket case in some parts. The balance between the angst and the happy is perfect. So you will cry and you will laugh and there is some definite steam in this book. I highly highly recommend this series, it is a very good idea to read the first two before this one!! – By Tina
I loved this book, I loved that it takes place at the same time as the first two in the series and that it’s all intertwined. Samantha has so much thrown at her and is so alone, but through it all, she finds her inner strength for her girls. Blake is taking care of his sister and shouldn’t be thinking about or worried about Samantha but there is that connection, he didn’t think he could ever love again. This a beautiful love story of two people finding love with someone unexpected.
Broken Love Story was the installment I didn’t realize I was waiting for. We’ve gotten bits and pieces of Blake and Samantha throughout the first two books of the series. Broken Love Story has a longer time span than the first two, and packs a lot of emotion into one book.
Blake and Samantha have both been hurt. They were destroyed in different ways, but both have a lot of recovering to do. They slowly heal one another, with an undeniable pull between them.
Broken Love Story is a slow burning romance. It’s book 3 of the love series, and is *can* be read as a standalone, but I feel the real punch would be missed if you haven’t read the first two. 5 Stars for Broken Love Story, and a MUST READ!
Broken Love Story is just that. Two people who think they are broken beyond repair learn what it is like to be loved not only for your broken parts but for the parts that slowly mend themselves back together. This isn’t a one sided broken either. Both Blake and Samantha have been left behind by people they love. Their pasts may be different and their presents may be complicated but that doesn’t stop love. Love finds you no matter what.
Blake lost the love of his life at a young age. He grew up but didn’t grow out of the love that he had for her. He misses her every day and every day he makes the choice to not move on. Blake holds on even though he knows that it isn’t healthy. Blake is a very self-aware character that cares a lot about other people. He can see past his own ties to Samantha’s heartbreak to be there for her even though she is a complete stranger. His ties to Samantha could have definitely made it a lot harder for him and Sam.
Samantha, in my own opinion, has it even worse than Blake. The love of her life not only died after years of marriage but lied to her throughout most of it. Samantha not only has to deal with the death of a loved one she has to deal with the aftermath of his infidelity and the choices he made. I was worried about Samantha’s character in the beginning. I was worried that she was going to be a push-over when she needed to be strong but I was wrong. She had her moments of weakness but everyone does. It was her moments of strength that made her a real character.
Between the two of them these characters know more heartbreak than any one person should. The author does this in a beautiful way. She makes it a real transition. The way she wrote their love story was a slow build that made sense. There wasn’t a lot of drama with them as a couple. While their lives through 90% of the book was all drama their love story wasn’t. So, if you’re looking for something with a lot of angst and back and forth this book is not for you. I loved how the author created characters that cared about other people and could see past their own drama to help out a complete stranger.
One thing this book was lacking, whether good or bad is up to your preference, was the sex scenes. There was probably one at the very end of the book which makes sense but for people who are looking for a lot of steam it was definitely missing. Don’t get me wrong there was definitely a steamy scene but there was literally only one maybe two.
All in all, I thought this book was pretty good. It was a quick read, I think I read it in about a day, but I didn’t think there was anything missing. The story line was flushed out and the characters had substance. There wasn’t any of those unnecessary plot twists that you find in a lot of books. If you’re looking for a sweet innocent quick read this is definitely the book for you. I definitely want to read the other books in this series and get their perspectives.
