This book is not a popular book on Goodreads (as far as the amount of ratings go), but it definitely should be! Let me tell you why… I love how we follow the journey of Isabelle and Roman from meeting at a summer camp (Camp Oscines) at a young age into adult life. This book actually left me a little bit heartbroken at times, they both go through so much. There was a lot of pain and past to overcome in order for them to find peace and love in their lives. I liked that the book took me on an emotional roller coaster, because it made everything feel so much more real; the pain, the heartache, the loss, the love, the laughs and the happiness. If you are interested in a rockstar romance with a background story of childhood love, this book is it for you!

This rock & roll romance has all the right feels, plus you can never go wrong with a book written by this author in addition to two excellent narrators Sarah & Michael.
Reviewed for Audiobook Obsession
I received this audiobook from Audiobook Obsession in exchange for an honest review.
The overall story of this book, I thought was wonderful. It starts out in Part One when they are teenagers attending a summer camp, and ends in Part Two when they are adults and trying to make careers for themselves. I enjoy these types of books because you get a really good backstory as to why they are who they are and the beginnings of their relationship. Part Two was probably my favorite, just because teen love stories really aren’t my cup of tea, even though I realize it was necessary to understand Part Two.
The narration was really wonderful. I really like how Sarah Puckett reads Isabelle’s POV and Michael Norman Johnson reads Roman’s POV. I have listened to some books before that Sarah narrated and I love the way she reads and adds emotion to bring the stories to life.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and will be reading more of Jennifer Ann in the future. This book was about singers, so there were actual songs throughout, which was nice instead of just reading off lyrics.
This story is about two tortured souls who lost each other only to have a second chance of love. But, will the demons of their past keep them from the love they still have for each other? Roman and Belle had an instant attraction the first time they met at music camp. He was the rich boy falling for the poor girl. Their friendship turned into love, only life getting in the way! What made Belle leave so suddenly when he needed her the most? 5 years later the they met by chance, the attraction was still there!
Being a rockstar has its challenges. Will Belle trust Roman that his intentions are true? or does she believe the lies she’s being told? Why won’t Belle confide him in and tell him her darkest secrets?
Many unanswered Questions, secrets, betrayal, jealousy, love and steamy sex, and the people who tried to keep them apart revealed!
I thoroughly was drawn into the rockstar story! Sarah Puckett and Michael Norman Johnson tell the story with tenderness and with so much emotion. I was gifted this audio and offered my honest review. Thank you
I just love the way J.A wrote this story. I was pulled in to the story from beginning to end.
I loved this book. Especially because it wasn’t the “everyone has a perfect life” story. Also definitely have a thing for bad boys. Just loved it.
Full of angst and swoon worthy moments!
Oh man this book, this story…
I loved it all, after the horrible book funk I’ve been in, this incredible story pulled me out.
The character had so much heart. The story was so damn satisfying to read.
I consumed it word by word. Couldn’t get enough of Roman and Isabelle. They made my little black heart happy. They frustrated me and losses me off but they also made me love them with each and every page. I saw them grow and mature, saw their love flourish and bloom. The trials they faced, the hardships it all was intense
I love when love wins out in the end! Doesn’t matter what has happened.
Wonderful characters I love the story from the hold when they were kids all the way up to adult hood.
Couldn’t finish.
Loved this one. Not your typical rock star story line.
It is a bit boring but would “take me to the dentist” reading material.
It was so painful to read that I quit reading before I was even a third of the way through.
Liked the book for what it was. Good triumphs over evil. His father the evil villain the and the son a good young man of wealth, a protector and defender of those who people try to look down on.
I have to say that Jennifer Ann did not disappoint me with her second chance romance, Broken Little Melodies. This book hits all the right notes! Belle and Roman meet at a music camp when they are in their teens – and the rest they say – is music in the making. Totally love a rocker story, and this one was just WOW!
