Wow just wow Eli is on a quest to look for his beloved but when he finds her is she the same? Let me tell you I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the other foot to drop and can’t wait to read more about this series!!

This is the continuation of the Stories Of The Heart Book and oh boy what a continuation of Dark Hearts. I have to say that I have not read many paranormal books when I pick up this book it makes me feel alive again. This is not only a paranormal story but it is a story about lose and love and finding true love again. I can’t say enough about this story without giving so much away. I will say that this is one of those books you have to read for yourself in order to enjoy it. I just couldn’t put it down because I needed more about Sara and Eli and boy did I get a lot but I will say that ending that ending just about killed me!
Eli has lost Sara for three years and he is searching for her when one day he finds her but she doesn’t remember him. Upset Eli is determined to make Sara see who he is and what they have shared together. Eli is also determined to find out who took her memories from her because he has plans from them and they are not good ones either. This story is so much that it will have you so emotional and sitting on the edge of the seat reading and wondering what is going to happen next. I need book three like ASAP to find out what happens between Eli and Sara.
I desperately need more of this story.
Broken Heart is book 2 in the Stories of the Heart Series. You will have to read Book 1 to understand the story but in my opinion, it’s oh so worth it. I have loved this story from the beginning. This is the continuation of Sara & Eli’s amazing love story. There is also an intriguing story going on around them with twists and turns. I an invested and on pins and needles waiting for the next book.
This is full of intrigue and drama that surprisingly enough I didn’t expect in a vampire book but it was so good. The emotional and physical connection Sara has with Eli transends time. Brainwashing, kidnapping, torture, murder, evil seeping thru out. This story reels you in and holds you captive until you have to finish it to find out what happens. I really enjoyed this new book to the series. I cannot wait for the next one.

First, I have to admit that Cybill Cain has been one of my favorite authors since I discovered her writing last year. I’ve read everything she’s published and have not been disappointed in any book. Believe me when I tell you that Broken Heart is no exception to that.
I’m not sure where to start my review of this book. I have to say that this is Book 2 of the Stories of The Heart Series that started with Dark Heart. There probably aren’t enough superlatives to use when I write about this book, so I’ll start small and work my way up to the big words.
This story is about a 4000 year old Vampire named Eli and his love, the precious and so very human, Sara. If you have already read Dark Heart, then you know that this is a continuation of their story, and in this book Eli has been searching for Sara after her disappearance in Dark Heart. In Dark Heart, we discovered that Eli is an incredibly sexy vampire who is quite willing to share all that sexiness with Sara. And in Broken Heart, we discover that they are the perfect couple outside as well as inside the bedroom. And keep in mind, because I’m going to say this multiple times here, Eli is an incredibly sexy vampire. Sexy. Vampire. Incredible.
I normally dislike serial stories. It isn’t that I have to have everything “one and done” but most times, I don’t like having to read multiple books to finally reach an HEA, or even a fairly well done ending. In the case of this book, Cybill Cain can keep writing about Eli, the sexy vampire, until her finger cramp and she can’t type any longer. Did I say that Eli was an incredibly sexy vampire?
The book is well written, and the plot has carried through to this second book seamlessly. That is one thing I demand of books that are written in serial form. If the plot doesn’t flow well through to the other books, it is very difficult to follow the arc of the story to the conclusion. You’ll have no problem here. As a note, this book also ends as a cliffhanger, but if you’re like me and you’ve been caught in the “Vampire Web” that is being woven here, you’ll have no problem with it at all.
If you like a sexy read that will keep you reading well past your bedtime, this is it. Put down your other books and give this a try, but PLEASE read Dark Heart first. This is one series that you definitely have to read in the proper order, otherwise, you will miss all the details of this wonderful story that permeates this series.
This book gets five stars with tails. And please remember that up until quite recently, I’d never had any inkling that I would be writing a review on a vampire book. No way. Well, I was wrong once again. This book captivated me – the personalities of Sara and Eli seem to come off the page while I was reading and the love they have for each other shines throughout the story – you won’t be disappointed in this series (and honestly, if I hadn’t already described one Cybill Cain book as having so much chemistry it was like being caught in the lab with Mr. Wizard, I’d be using that line here).
OMGee, people, I’m completely at a loss on how to put my feelings about this book into words! Everything is still all jumbled up, because, while this one made me think (about some darn scary stuff that’s a little too real) it made me feel, and I’m still swamped by all the emotion! Eli and Sara’s love is one of those epic loves for the ages. A love that nothing can ever sever; not time, distance, brainwashing or circumstances. No matter what separates them, these two will always find their way back to each other. It’s the kind of love we all love to read about and long to find for ourselves.
Broken Heart picks up sometime after the end of Dark Heart, and again leaves us hanging on a precipice and desperate for more of Eli and Sara’s story. A lot comes to light about the vampires who have disappeared and who is behind it, and Cain has done a terrifyingly terrific job of bringing deep state conspiracies and the all-seeing eye of “Big Brother” to life as Eli, Sara, Mads and Malik battle for their lives and the vampire race.
Yet somehow, in the midst of all of the evils prevailing, Cain strikes a beautiful balance with the evocative heat and palpable emotion between Eli and Sara, adding in sprinkles of humor to lighten up the dark. One thing is certain. Once you begin this journey with Eli and Sara, you’ll have no choice but to see it through to the end, because their story is THAT compelling, with no vampire glamour needed. It’s been ages since I’ve read paranormal, leaning towards lighter reading these days, but this? This is worth diving into the PNR genre again. Rarely have I seen an epic love like that of Eli and Sara’s, and theirs is a story you absolutely won’t want to miss!
