Wow!!! Great read!!! Bring tissues for sure. Peyton and Oliver are wonderful as they work through the baggage that comes with a new relationship. The family continues to grow and you can’t help but love all of them still.
I’ve read all the One True Mate world books and they are definitely my 3 of my favourite series, but this one book blows them all out of the water. Each story is unique and has a unique set of problems and manage to never be repetitive or dull. While they are all amazing books, Broken Chains has a special spot at the top of my list now. The story and the characters just really touched me in a way very few books have. I can’t wait for more ARC and Collier books to come!
Swoon Worthy…..
What can be more embarrassing then fainting from the hotness of a guy? That guy not wanting you as a mate, that’s what!
When Peyton Collier sets eyes on her one true mate, she is so overwhelmed that she just down and faints.. Is it his good looks and muscles, or the overpowering need to jump his body? God has picked an awful time to put them together, but darn did he ever make a good match for her, now she just had to convince him of that and oh did I forget to mention that he has the dreamiest green eyes…..ahhhhhh! It doesn’t hurt that I get the cutest baby and 3 other men in the deal.
Oliver Smith had to start raising his 3 brother at the tender age of 11 and he regrets not a minute of it, his only regret is not being able to get them away from the Larken Trailer Park where his drunken father resides with them. Then there is his beautiful Eve, he will sacrifice all to be able to provide for her and his brothers. When he catches the scent of the lovely customer who has swooned at sight of him, he wonders what’s going on with his wolf and what does he mean when he says mate?
Can a Collier and a Larken wolf put aside their differences for love?

Wow, I loved this book. I loved the connection between Peyton and Oliver. I loved how Peyton took Kenneth under her wing and offered him a job when she found out that he was only 16 years old and currently working in a grocery store, she offered him a higher job as long as he goes to school. She finds out that Kenneth is actually Oliver who happens to be her true mates but when she met him at the grocery store she ended up passing out and his boss called an ambulance but she knows she didn’t need to go to the hospital and tries to tell him that she’s alright and looks at Oliver and pleads to him with her eyes to help her so he tells his boss to cancel the ambulance and walks her out of the store. When he goes back in the store his boss fires him because of who Peyton is and that she might sue him. Oliver tries to plead his case as he really needs that job to look after his brothers and his baby daughter Eve. I loved how this book opens the communication between Thomas and Luke more and seeing them work together when issues arrive because Eve’s bio mum shows back up and tries to take Eve but Peyton wouldn’t give her to her which is completely understandable considering she left and signed away her rights to her parents even though Oliver was in the picture, the worst thing is that Peyton was holding her niece Opal at the time and Eve’s mum thought she was Eve like how bad is that. I also loved how fiercely she loves Eve from pretty much the first moment you wouldn’t even know that she’s not biologically hers and she also love and cares about Kenneth, Tim and Brady and considered them part of her family. She’s the best thing to ever happen to Eve and all the Smith brothers, she’s their world. I’m looking forward to reading Ruby’s book next. I’d recommend this book, series, Westin World Universe and author to everyone.
OMG! Ms. Trettel has done it again! 😀 This latest fan-freaking-tastic PNR must read grabbed me from the get-go & kept me glued to my seat! … “BROKEN CHAINS” is the 4th awesome stand-alone in the phenomenal ‘Collier Pack’ world of shifters! I am always amazed at how she comes up with a fresh new, different story each time! Always relatable characters that jump off the pages, both recurring & some new; fantastic attention-to-detail with some surprise twists & turns that I know will keep readers hooked & turning pages fast like I did! … I never write spoilers or recap blurbs, but even tho I volunteer to beta read this author’s books, it is always without any outside influences, and these are my honest feelings! Plus, I have bought many of her books in the past whenever I was able to. So yes, I can honestly recommend this to all adult fans of fiction! I can’t wait for more, but of course I definitely will!
