They’ll Bring Him To His Knees.Aiden Taylor-Chapman had it all until he threw his life away on drugs and crime. Now he’s being targeted by a mob boss who wants him dead, and he’s been captured by two military grade bodyguards who are holding him on the orders of Mason Malone – a man who was once his best friend, but is now keeping his sister prisoner. If only Steven and Robert would let him go, … sister prisoner.
If only Steven and Robert would let him go, he might have a chance of putting things right, but the two ex-Marines are more than a match for him. They demand obedience and submission, two things Aiden has never been able to give anybody. It’s a battle of wills he loses every time as they subject him to their unique brand of military discipline.
It’s bad enough that they won’t give him the fix he craves. Worse still, he’s falling for them both.
Broken Boy is a dark gay menage romance, and companion novella to the bestselling dark romance Shamefully Broken.more
This is another 6 star read from Loki Renard. It’s super hot and OMG great.
Before I get started, I want to make sure that I warn people that this is dark. It’s an LGBT MMm relationship. If you aren’t comfortable with physical punishment, hot male on male action, or capture fantasies, please don’t read this one. If any of those things hit your buttons, then you are definitely going to want to check this one out.
Aiden is a mess. He’s been ignored and neglected by his parents, never given any of the intangible things that he needs from them, and has now been cut off from any money from them. He’s turned to drugs and a lot of illegal activities. He’s ended up crossing the head of an organized crime family, who decides to go after Aiden’s sister. She went to Aiden’s friend Mason to beg him to help Aiden.
Mason’s form of help comes in the form of Steve and Rob. They are former military members who are working as discreet and high rated security for Mason’s company. They are tasked with keeping Aiden safe and hidden. Aiden doesn’t want to make it easy on them. He doesn’t want to be there, and as a junkie, he just wants another fix. He does everything he can to push their buttons. As two Dom-ly types, that pushes all of Steve and Rob’s buttons. They have to fight their inclinations, but then things change.
I really like the fact that while Rob and Steve are each Dom-ly, they have their dynamic behind it. Steve is a straight up Dom, while Rob is Daddy. They each want to take care of Aiden, but they want to do it in ways that fit their personality. Having those differences is really nice because that means they aren’t going to be in direct competition when it comes to handling Aiden and that they are going to complement each other. This is a totally awesome book, and I hope that we get more MM out of Loki, because she did it really well.
What an awesome read. I had so much sympathy for Aidan even though he was a total f**k up. He is almost childlike in the way he reacts to Steve and Rob. Constantly defying and pushing boundaries. Steve and Rob are good together and provided quite a few light-hearted moments. Loved their dedication to their charge. The love they eventually showed. Loki did an amazing job conveying the confusion of feelings all the characters were going through, and boy was those scenes of discipline and pleasure oh so sexy!!!! I can’t wait for the next instalment. My only complaint…it would have been good to have some real backstory into Steve and Rob.
Wealth, privilege, total destruction, even death. Is there a more compelling combination? Loki Renard strikes gold again!
Aiden Taylor-Chapman’s in deep trouble. One of the richest men on the planet, he’s broken beyond repair. Why? Might have something to do with the fact he’s a drug-fueled train wreck, human trafficker, wanted by both mob boss Bobby Cornoli and the law. Aiden’s drug-addled mind comes up the perfect solution. Dealing drugs for Cornoli and skimming off the top isn’t the smartest decision he’s ever made. Can things get any worse? Oh, absolutely! After escaping his most recent rehab stint, Aiden’s on the run. But his madness and drugged-up state blind him to the threats to his life, his sister, Ellie, and anyone close to him. He just doesn’t care anymore. Enter Robert and Steven, the best of the best. Former Marines, bodyguards employed by Mason Malone, they’re assigned to the spoiled little brat. For them, this should be a piece of cake, right? Umm…no! From day one, Aiden’s the biggest pain in the ass either man’s encountered. Temper tantrums, pouts, cajoling, offers of money, pulling the Dom card, using every trick in his vast arsenal, Aiden’s baffled. His standard bag of tricks has always worked. Why not now? Lost, broken, and alone, he sure as hell doesn’t know how to deal with Steve, the controlled, hard-as-nails, unemotional half of this duo. Rob seems much easier to manipulate so Aiden pins his hopes on him. He soon finds no quarter there either. But despite the Grand Canyon of distance separating these three, there’s an undeniable attraction none of them can explain. As inappropriate and totally unprofessional as it is, it’s Steve who makes the first move. Rob’s pulled to Aiden too. But Aiden’s colossal arrogance pushes Rob and Steve to the point of no return. When Mason and Aiden’s sister, Ellie, show up, Aiden realizes just how much he’s destroyed. Desperation pushes him to make the most asinine decision in a long line of idiotic moves. He doesn’t just put his own life at stake. Now his sister, Mason, and especially Rob and Steve, are in the line of fire. It’s only then that he realizes what he’s lost, the very best things that ever happened to him. What can he do? He has to fix this. But how? He’s trashed his entire existence. His money’s gone. Forgiveness?. Forget that! He may just lose his life. Is there any rescue? Or has he played his final ace? If there’s any hope at all, Aiden has to learn belief, hope, even trust, and that he has worth. And that may be just be impossible! It’s very possible there may never be any coming back from this one!
This story initially grabs you and fills you with utter disgust and loathing for Aiden, a spoiled, entitled brat of a man who’s had every advantage handed to him and still razed his world to the ground. But Loki Renard pulls a spark of decency from the most self-absorbed and despicable of characters and fans it into a flame. And it’s this flame that pulls you into the story and holds you riveted for the entire book. Aiden swings back and forth between the most contemptible of men to possible redemption and then back to the most repulsive of creatures over and over. You want to hate Aiden, shake some sense into him, believe there’s redemption in him. But that’s nearly impossible. Steve and Rob? These two seasoned bodyguards do hate him. There’s no common ground with this idiot. But Ms. Renard has again wrapped layer after layer into the personality of each character in this book. Is there intrigue? Are there hidden agendas and unknown secrets? Oh, yes. This story is far from simple or straightforward. The relationship of these three is inextricably blended with so many outright lies, disbelief, and brokenness. You can’t begin to believe anything can save Aiden. And for Steve and Rob to be willing to take a chance with Aiden is inexplicable. You couldn’t find three more incompatible people. Aiden’s survival is in Rob and Steve’s hands yet Aiden constantly taunts and pushes them to the limits. But Ms. Renard pulls these differences together and weaves each character’s vast differences into a story that’s riveting. I literally couldn’t put it down. There’s nothing about this story that should work. But it not only works, it’s incredible! Ms. Renard creates irredeemable characters and makes their story compelling and enthralling. That ability puts her head and shoulders above nearly every other author I’ve read. This book is worthy of so much more than five stars! Congratulations, Ms. Renard, for another unexpectedly over-the-top reading experience that totally blew me away!
A final note. Be an informed reader! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don’t enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and Amazon. Use these resources. DON’T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON’T ENJOY THE BOOK. It’s not fair to the author. She works hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you’ll object to a book’s subject matter before you buy it, you’re doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice.
Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!
If you read Shamefully broken and wondered about Aiden, Rob and Steven, then don’t look any further. You can find their story right here.
I didn’t really care for Aiden in Shamefully Broken, but this showed another side of him. Aiden might be rich in money, but not in love and attention. It was wonderful to see the interaction with him and Steven and Rob. He started to grow up and realise there are consequences to his actions. Good and bad.
This novella made me laugh, go aah and made me all hot and bothered.
I read Shamefully Broken where we met Aiden but he was a lost soul with an entitled attitude. Aiden get his funds shut off by his wealthy parents, who gave him nothing but money. The former golden boy turns to drugs then onto pimping women. Nothing seems to get through to him until Mason assigns him two body guards, aka jailers, to teach Aiden some manners and help him face reality.
His guards are Steven and Robert and these alpha men are set to show Aiden how to communicate thoughtfully. These big men are exactly what he needs and they give it all to Aiden along with loving care, discipline and affection.
This is my first MMm read and I didn’t think I would like it much, but Loki Renard wrote it so that I LOVED IT! Aiden got exactly what he needed from Steven and Robert.
