An Amazon Best of the Year Selection Dangerous: Former Navy SEAL Clarence Wolfe’s unit was taken out with a land mine. Injured and devastated, he hasn’t been quite right since. Worse, the tragedy was no accident. All Wolfe wants now is to take down the man responsible. In the meantime, he’s good with being the muscle for the Deep Ops team—and leading a steamy no-strings-attached personal life. … no-strings-attached personal life. Until one intriguing woman changes everything . . .
Determined: Reporter Dana Mulberry is on a mission to avenge the death of a fellow journalist. She’s finally hot on a trail—right to a sex club—where she runs into . . . Wolfe? It seems both their leads have led to the same spot. To keep from blowing their covers, they’ll have to at least pretend to have a little fun. Trouble is, they genuinely like each other. And that’s way too risky for Wolfe, especially when, to his surprise, Dana agrees . . .
Complicated: Drawn to each other in ways they can’t understand, Wolfe and Dana keep it professional—until they’re shot at one night. And when their adventures land them both at the heart of corruption in D.C.—and at odds in their missions—they’ll have to dig deeper than ever to succeed in their quests—and with each other . . .

I’ve been looking forward to this man’s story since I met him (and Kat, his kitten) in Hidden.
He was uber focused and withdrawn, but had a unique charm that was impossible to resist.
How can you not be wooed by a man who can handle any deadly situation, strategically outline a plan of action against the evil of the world, but can’t live without his super sweet lattes with whipped cream and sprinkles?
And he shares his love of sweets with all of his friends.
And he would be willing to give his life to protect those he cares about.
His willingness to protect went so far that when he himself was in the most danger, he tried to do it alone. No one should have to be hurt for him.
His team had no intention of letting him handle his personal mission on his own. They were a family and he was a big part of that. And all of them are so amazing!
Wolfe lost his entire unit due to a devastating betrayal. His thirst for revenge left him with absolutely no desire to get close to someone. If no one got in, then no one got hurt. Not on his watch. And then Dana happened. Her best friend was murdered and she was hunting for the killer. As a reporter, she accepted danger as a benefit of the job and she was willing to risk it all to give her friend some justice. When her case and Wolfe’s case become tangled, he finds it impossible to keep her at arms length, no matter how hard he tries. And he definitely tries. But she wasn’t going to let his cold shoulder and keep-away attitude deter her. And it was fun to watch!
The suspense in this story was eerie and creepy and I had no clue how it would all turn out. I love that the author kept me guessing and on edge. It ramped up my enjoyment level to the nth degree. Then again, that’s exactly what I expect from a Rebecca Zanetti novel. Well-paced with an intense plot and even more intense characters, Broken was quite entertaining and more than deserves its must-read status.
There is one thing I can always count on, and that is picking up a Rebecca Zanetti book and getting completely consumed by the characters and the world she created. This book was no different. It was action packed, sexy and unpredictable, by adding to a world I already love and a character I wanted to know more about. I cannot wait for the next installment in this series!
Romantic suspense done oh-so-well! Rebecca Zanetti has built an amazing world with the Deep Ops series, and readers will devour BROKEN!
Wolfe’s story is finally here!
“Is that a gun in your pocket or are you just really happy I jumped on your lap?” “Jesus. It’s a gun.” He yanked the gun free and settled it on the dash. – Broken by Rebecca Zanetti

I have been patiently waiting for this book. Wolfe has been my fave character from the beginning. I mean who wouldn’t love a kitten carrying, whipped cream and sprinkles coffee drinking, sweet but deadly, alpha male? It was love at first read for me and finally I get his and Dana’s story.
Dana is the feisty reporter that has captured Wolfe’s attention, and that’s a problem because Wolfe needs to be single-minded in order to focus on his personal mission. However, lines are going to cross, missions merge, and Dana may just finally breakthrough to the man behind the lone wolf. Dana provides the right balance of sass, strength and support needed to tame the beast.
Wolfe is just as awesome as always, only now we get to delve into why he is the way he is. He has been through hell, made it out with singular focus, payback and revenge. Dear sweet Clarence.
This book has suspense, all of our fave characters and a bad guy you will hate! It was a wonderful blend of intrigue and romance. Everything is coming to a head and I can’t wait to see what will happen next!
I have enjoyed this entire series and I can’t wait to read more. This is definite recommend from me, especially if you are into romantic suspense, have a thing for imperfect underdogs, and a little humor. Grab this series today!!
BROKEN by Rebecca Zanetti, book 3 of Deep Ops and a thrilling tale about Clarence Wolf in a deadly cat and mouse game with a killer.
The plot explodes with action, unexpected plot twists, car chases, gunfire, humor, team of misfit agents, a dog with a drinking problem and a fetish for women’s shoes, betrayal, and vengeance; family, friendships, and not the mention a sexy, sizzling swoon-worthy romance smoking off the pages.
Fasten your seatbelt as Rebecca Zanetti takes you on a roller-coaster ride into this fast-paced thriller and off-the-chart chemistry between brooding Alpha hero and a tough heroine determined to keep him alive.
Broken (Deep Ops #3) by Rebecca Zanetti
Each book in this series is better than the last… this one kept me on the edge of my seat. It is Reporter Dana Mulberry and Former Navy SEAL Clarence Wolfe’s story. We have the whole team and some new friends and two wonderful animals. There is mystery, terror, evil, suspense, secrets, but also lots of laughter some tears and plenty of steam to get to a very HEA. Looking forward to DRIVEN the last book in the series.
I really enjoyed this book with Wolfe and Dana. Although there was a crazy person who was stalking them, this book still managed to have many lighthearted, quirky, funny, sweet, and romantic moments.
I also thought it was interesting how Wolfe and Dana’s cases ended up having the point of intersection and gradually being revealed to be the same case. I knew it was going to happen, but didn’t know how.
I really like the Team, including Roscoe and Kat. I have liked Wolfe’s character from the beginning of the series. He makes each book that much more interesting. His pursuit of Rock in this book had a good amount of tension and suspense.
I was surprised at Dana. Knowing what she knew, and finding out about her friend, I never felt like she took enough precautions. I did enjoy that little twist at the end.
This book gives you a bit of everything. I like the narration. The narrator pulled me completely into the story and made me forget their was one person narrating all of the roles. I would definitely recommend this book as well as this series.
wolfe and Dana have quite an adventure
great read couldn’t put it down.
I love anything by Rebecca Zanetti! She is one of my favorite authors, and I have been waiting for Wolfe’s story! He is just so funny in the previous books. and I couldn’t wait to read about his story! This is the third book in the Deep Ops series, and each book just gets better! Make sure you have a good chunk of time to read this, because you won’t want to stop and put it down! I loved Wolfe and Dana, and their story was a page turner! I loved their chemistry, and I love strong supportive women! I can’t wait for the next book now!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book.
Moving story of two men who have a plan to punish men who have maimed
and killed team members alluded to in the plot and the loyal people who
help accomplish the secretive mission with romance played out in the plot.
So far Broken is my favorite book in the Deep Ops series & all the books have been amazing!! This is Wolfe & Dana’s story & what an incredible story it is!! The two of them end up at the same sex club with leads, Dana to investigate her reporter friends death & Wolfe to find information on the man responsible for killing the men in his unit. They realize there’s a connection between his old commander Gary & her friends death. I can’t say enough about this series & all of the characters. It has action, laugh out loud moments, friendship, loyalty & of course Roscoe the dog & Kat the cat. The wedding of Dana’s cousin was hysterical & Dana’s family was wonderful too. First the description of the brides maid dresses & shoes when her and her sisters were getting ready then Roscoe getting into trouble at the wedding after Dana’s Mom lets Roscoe out of the hotel room. I do love all the characters in this series but Wolfe & Roscoe are still my favorites!! I can’t stress enough, you need to read this series if you read action, suspense romance books!!
I immediately fell for big, bad Clarence Wolfe. I really wanted to see him in those leather pants.
Broken is the third book and my favorite so far in the Deep Ops series. This is former Navy Seal Clarence Wolfe’s and reporter Dana Mulberry’s book.
Wolfe’s story was everything I thought it should be, and so much more. We learn about his past and all he’s lost, and we discover the details to his personal need for vengeance. He’s gorgeous and stone solid on the outside, but inside he’s a caring and protective man. Wolfe has tried to push away his feelings for Dana, but when he realizes that the story she’s working on collides with the past he’s after, he’ll do anything and everything to protect her.
Dana is beautiful and such a sweetheart. She’s sassy and determined to do her job no matter the risk. She has feelings for Wolfe, but takes it in stride when he puts them in a friends only category. However once they start working together, lines get crossed and feelings are unavoidable. Dana may be the only person to make Wolfe realize his life is worth living.
I loved these two characters together. They had such a fun relationship. They were complete opposites and brought out the best in one another. Dana’s family was great and I enjoyed getting to see Wolfe in that situation. Most of the characters from the previous books were present, as well as a couple of new ones. Roscoe was especially sweet in this one. There was more action and more suspense, and the foundation was laid for Angus’ and Nari’s book which will be next. Lassiter, he’s coming for you.
Love this series. From the beginning I was anxious for Wolfe’s story and then you add Dana and you just knew they were meant for each other. This story was every thing I hoped it would be and more. Wolfe proves to be fiercely protective and so dang lovable. I think it was Kat, the cat named Kat, that showed us the broken and protective side of Wolfe at first and it’s tenfold with Dana.
It’s an exciting story very Rebecca Zanetti-ish. Twist and turns and great action and suspense and the down time with Wolfe and Dana was HOT.
My MAN WOLFE!!!!
I’ve been in love with him since the beginning and his book did not disappoint.
I know there’s no such thing as the perfect man, but Wolfe comes super close if he were real. I loved the suspense and the dynamic between him and Dana. For lack of a better word this was perfect.
This is an entertaining, well-written, steamy, fast paced, romantic suspense novel. It is the third entry in Ms. Zanetti’s outstanding Deep Ops series and can be enjoyed as a stand alone, but is even better when read in order. It has plenty of intrigue, action, a heart-warming romance, likable, engaging, interesting and quirky characters, wit, humor, a cute kitten, and a funny dog. I am looking forward to reading Angus’s story with great anticipation.
Seriously, who doesn’t love Wolfe? This quirky, intimidating guy with a mushy heart he tries to hide is the perfect alpha male. Since the very first time we met him in the beginning of this series, Hidden, I wanted to see him get his HEA. Not only is he quick, strong, and smart, he also brings a much needed element of humor to the Deep Ops team.
Dana has been a bit of a tag along with the team for a bit. An investigative reporter who gets caught up in their missions over and over. She is quite tenacious, but also extremely kind and thoughtful. There were definite vibes between Dana and Wolfe from the time they met in Taken that have carried throughout the books since that time. I love how Wolfe will keep trying to not have a relationship with Dana, as if that will stop him from being protective of her. There is just an innocence to Wolfe and how he interacts with the world that is so different from his outward persona of tough military dude. It’s actually a bit refreshing to have a heroine that isn’t carrying tons of baggage. Dana grew up in a stable home with loving parents and sisters that she’s still extremely close with. This is something Wolfe needs in his life and he doesn’t even realize it until he’s thrust into her world.
It was a joy to watch the push and pull of Dana and Wolfe once they have to interact on a more one on one basis. The way Dana understood Wolfe in a way nobody else ever had was wonderful, especially when it came to seeing Wolfe realize that he can have friends and family. Not only can he, but he deserves all the love the Deep Ops team gives to him.
This series started because of a serial killer. A serial killer who everyone believes to be dead, except the man who killed him. Angus Force started the Deep Ops team in order to have some autonomy to go after “The Surgeon” when everyone else thinks he’s just burned out and crazy for not accepting the guy is dead. That part of the story had a bit of a nibble in this book and is sure to be the focus of the next book. Before starting this story I thought the next book may be the end of the series, but there were a few more interesting additions to the Deep Ops team this go around. In fact, I loved the whole section when Jethro first shows up at the office. It really showcased all of the characters and their personalities. I cannot wait to learn more about him and the others.
I am really falling in love with this Deep Ops group. Another great story in this great series. This group of rag tag misfits really have each other’s backs. Strong alpha males that fall hard for the women in their lives, one at a time. This is Wolfe and Dana’s story. Dana is a reporter that has wormed her way into the group and into the hearts of everyone on the team. But especially Wolfe. When this case puts them together, it’s a fun filled romantic ride. It’s steamy and suspenseful. This one will grab you on page one and will not disappoint. I can’t wait for more in this series.
I have never read this author, I won the book on a Goodreads Giveaway. I love romantic suspense and not to mention a man in uniform! This is the third book in the series, and although I haven’t read the first two, I can definitely say this can be read as a stand-alone. Although I will also say that it will make you want to read the rest of the series! I’ve already bought book one.
It was very suspenseful, intense and hard to put down! The characters and their storyline were written with great depth, and therefore makes you want to read the rest of the series.
Wolfe is a crazy ex Navy Seal who ends up falling in love with Dana the Reporter. But the build up is sooo good. Dana is a strong, smart woman and no pushover, just the kind of woman for Wolfe. The rest of the team is great and especially the dog…haha…I loved Roscoe, he is one of a kind!!!
I loved the writing, the characters, everything!! I was immediately a big fan of the author after reading this book!!!!
Thoroughly enjoyable stand alone continuation of the Deep Ops series. Wolfe and Dana’s story was a fun and thoroughly entertaining adventure!
Wolfe, Dana, Roscoe, Kat & the whole DO gang! What’s not to love?
Rebecca Zanetti does not disappoint!
