Love this twist on a classic! Kathleen Lawless knows her way around western romances. Can’t go wrong. Highly recommend.
Brody and Laura seem to get a second chance at love. This book is the first in a series. Will Brody save his farm and the town from the Hawkes and the bad sheriff?

This is intense, suspenseful and romantic. Brody and Laura fell in love as teens, but Laura broke Brody’s heart, humiliating him in front of a town full of people, and then leaving town. She had a good reason for what she did, but she couldn’t tell him that. Ten years later she overhears a conversation about a man by the name of Hawkes who is planning to destroy Brody and his brothers and take the ranch they own. She comes back to town to be the new teacher hoping that she can find out information for Brody about Hawkes plans, her boss being Hawkes. Brody is not pleased to see her, and she tries to stay away from him so that she doesn’t cause more problems for him. But there’s so much intrigue and drsma going on that they can’t help but see each other. Brody is a determined, caring and protective man. Laura is a stubborn, impulsive and impatient woman. The only thing that I didn’t like was that the end didn’t have everything wrapped up.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
Laura and Brody story is nice, second chance romance.
She broke his heart years ago and now she is back in town as a teacher. When she learn that somebody wants to take Brody’s ranch away she will try to find out why and stop it.
With this good side I found her a little bit selfish . It’s my perception. Maybe she is just strong and doesn’t care what people think..
With this drama and suspense will their love blossom again?

Very complex story.
This is not a simple read it is so full of twists and turns, great characters, danger, and mystery that will completely engage you in the story. Bullet, Arizona it was a great setting full of craziness. Laura is back to find out answers and perhaps now a second chance at love. I recommend you do not pass this one by it well worth reading. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Brody’s Bride is the first book in a new series for popular western historical author Kathleen Lawless. Unlike many historical romances, this book and the series is NOT sexually explicit so it should appeal to all those who love western historical or just a solid romance.
LOVE a western romance. You will love this one too.
This was such an interesting book. It was highly entertaining and Incredibly intriguing. I kept going back and forth between sitting on the edge of my seat in anticipation and sitting on the edge of my seat and biting my nails. I voluntarily read and review this book in exchange for a free copy.
This is a well written sweet second chance western romance with a cast of colorful characters and an entertaining story line. The author brings intrigue and adventure as well as secrets and twists. She does a great job building the story and describing both her characters and scenes in detail , helping to bring the story to life. I enjoyed reading and am looking forward to book two for some answers to secrets yet to be told.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.

Guy Hawkes pretty much runs the show in Bullet, Arizona, and he’s got his eye on the ranch that Brody and his brothers own. Laura and Brody were together 10 years ago. She still loves him, and comes back to Bullet as the new schoolteacher, working for the Hawkes family, and she’s got information regarding Hawkes’ plan to steal Brody’s ranch. Brody doesn’t want her help, but he’s gonna get it anyway. This was a nice story – well-developed plot, and the characters worked together. It was an enjoyable read. This is my first book from this author – I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.

Complex Romantic Tale of the Old West
This second-chance-at-romance Western tale is surprisingly full of subplots, crazy characters, and double crosses that often happen in stories of the Old West. A greedy land grab? A murderous old man? Precious minerals? Perhaps lost treasure? Long-lost mother showing up? This author has packed a lot into a novella, that’s for sure. Laura has come back to Bullet, Arizona, because she fears that her love from ten years ago is at the crux of the machinations of a dastardly older man who wants Brody’s property. She was able to ingratiate herself with that man’s son and let him think that it was his idea that she become the new schoolmarm in Bullet. But what she really wants to do is figure out this man’s plot against her teenage love. Her and Brody’s relationship ended poorly because she made a bad decision. He has remained unwed, and his heart was broken by her because of her treatment of him back then.
Bullet is a nest of vipers, most working at the behest of Hawkes (the bad older man), as well as a place where good people are just trying to live their lives. The most interesting characters are the men who live at Brody’s ranch, the Copper Moon. They called themselves brothers, and while some are, they are more brothers bound by hard word, a shared history, and a desire for a better future. I really enjoyed the brother characters, and I look forward to their future romances, as the title of the series suggests. All in all, I enjoyed this complex story about the happenings in the small town of Bullet sometime in the late 1800s, and I’m eager to learn more about these characters and seeing what else unfolds in this small town.
This is a sweet second chance romance with lots of secrets and intrig.
It sets the scene for the future stories and while not a complete cliffhanger all the secrets and intrigs are not resolved by the end.
I was left with resolution but anticipation for the next installment.
