From New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan comes a flirty new standalone about falling for your older brother’s best friend. There’s pretty much only one rule when you’re a guy.Don’t be a douche.Turns out, the fastest way to break that rule is to fall for your best friend’s sister.Ava’s brilliant, sharp-tongued, gorgeous, and five years younger than me.She’s the sexual equivalent of … younger than me.
She’s the sexual equivalent of running with scissors. In a word, she’s dangerous. And completely off-limits.
Falling for her could ruin everything.
Yet I can’t seem to stop, even when her company is threatened by a lawsuit, and my promotion hinges on representing the opposing client—and winning.
I can’t see a way out of this mess that doesn’t end in a broken friendship, a broken heart, or a ruined career.
I may have broken the bro code when I fell for Ava. But do I have the balls to handle what comes next?

4.5 Stars for the new stand-alone Bro Code by Kendall Ryan.
Once again this author has given us another fun, flirty, passionate, easy to read book that I read in one sitting. It’s a very simple no fuss, no drama must read that’s well written with the perfect mix of humour, love and passion….
Ava is the easy to love heroine, she is strong, sassy and funny and she has crushed on her brothers best friend forever, Barrett is the man her dreams and fantasies are always about but we all know brothers besties are off limits.
Barrett is a workaholic trying to make partner at the law firm he works for in Chicago but he is getting to that stage in his life where partying is less attractive and settling down and building a family is what he might just be needing but the problem is the girl who haunts his dreams is no other that Ava his best friends sister and we all know according to the Bro Code that’s a no go area…
Another masterpiece from Kendall Ryan, characters you will fall in love with, chemistry that’s sizzling hot and if love friends to lovers with a lot of humour you will want to read this book.
Barrett has had a thing for his best friends little sister for sometime now, but acting on his attraction for her would be completely forbidden, and it’s not like she is interested in what he has to offer anyway… or is she? When a retirement party for his buddies dad brings him home and reunites him with Ava he knows it’s going to be tough to avoid her all weekend, and try and keep his thing for her under wraps. But then after she accidentally barges in on him while he is exiting the shower and sees all he has to offer on display, and there is an unmistakable gleam in her eyes he knows his little attraction is no longer a one sided affair. And forbidden be damned, he wants a taste…
Bro Code starts off with a seriously sexy bang, and with each page that follows the heat continues to rise, and the hands off approach begins to falter!! This was quite the read, it had it all; playful banter, smoking hot chemistry, two perfectly drawn characters, and lots to toe curling sexy times to keep things consistently simmering! You can’t go wrong with this newest offering from Ms. Ryan, it has the emotional depth that will inspire the feels and squeeze your heart, and then of course the sexy, caring, smooth-talking alpha that will have your tablet overheating, and have you swooning like a fool throughout! Loved my time with these two, they left my heart happy, and put a smile on my face! Highly recommend!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.
Talk about being between a rock and a hard place. Barrett is I love with his best friend’s sister but he knows he needs to stay away to honor the code between men. Truly, I find that frustrating if someone is the love of your life, it shouldn’t matter about any code. But I appreciated Barrett’s loyalty as he tries to maintain his distance from Ava. Ava has lusted after her brother’s best friend for years. They haven’t seen each other but when they are reunited for a retirement party of Ava’s dad, well, the chemistry is electric and they both struggle, Barrett to uphold the code and Ava trying to get Barrett to break it. Ava is also faced with the challenge of running her father’s factory, a business that is faltering while Barrett is working hard to become partner at his law firm. Will the code win? Will life push them in different directions? I enjoyed the struggle for Barrett, Ava does a great job pushing all his buttons. When the drama ramped up, I was worried as I devoured every moment to see what would happen. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
A beautiful friends-to-lovers, forbidden romance!
Bro Code was a sweet and enticing quick read. The story is pretty straightforward…falling for older brother’s best friend. Though the storyline may start out that way, the circumstances and relationships revolving around the characters are complicated and heartachingly difficult. Both Barrett and Ava have secretly wanted each other for years, but never acted upon their attraction for fear of losing the one person they both care deeply for, Ava’s older brother and Barrett’s best friend, Nick. The shared dynamics and characteristics of loyalty and selflessness truly shine throughout the story. As much as Barrett and Ava are drawn to each other, the unspoken “Bro Code” rule stands in their way.
I can’t get enough of the author’s books. Touching, impassioned, and profoundly seductive, Bro Code was just another example of incredible storytelling and exceptional writing. This heartwarming romance is a for sure must-read for those who love swoony and fun love stories!
Ryan has a talent for finding the humor in love. While throwing around innuendos that are as naughty as they are tempting. The most compelling aspect of Bro Code is that, the characters never lose their personalities. Underneath all the hodgepodge of angst, sex appeal and rule breaking, Ava and Barrett are two people willing to fight for what they want, by any means necessary. Kendall Ryan is one of a few authors that can make me forget to retrieve my heart at the end of each read.
If you have read my last few reviews of Kendall Ryan books, you would see that I have been disappointed with them – especially my last read.
Fear Not! Bro Code was back on track and I really enjoyed it!
Ava and Barrett’s story is sweet and sexy. There is so much chemistry betweenthe pair, longing looks across the room, UST out the wazoo!
Full of witty banter, snark, and an anaconda or two making an appearance – if you get my drift!
I loved how restrained Barrett was, how relentless Ava was in going for what she wanted – even when they both knew they shouldn’t.
I liked that there was no OTT drama – yes, there were difficulties, but nothing that acting like adults couldn’t fix.
I liked Ava’s brother/Barrett’s best friend Nick, and I hope we get more from him in the future.
