The book really hit its stride halfway through. What I love most about this author’s writing is the emotion she evokes. I don’t think I breathed for the last third of the book. It was heart-wrenching.
I highly recommend that you read “Dead Sexy” before this book 2 in the series. It will help you understand some of the concepts introduced in book #1. I would have liked a little more detail about how Flint and Nica got together.
This is one of my favorite authors and this series is shaping up to be one of my favorites. The author was generous enough to gift me a copy of this book. I am pleased to write this honest review.
“Bright Phantoms is a stunning tale of hope, promise, and love. It gently gets inside of you until you begin to feel the pain of lost love in Lulu Sylvian’s emotional writing. Danica’s journey to find and receive love from Liam while holding in her secrets sets the tone for this tale. “Bright Phantoms” is an emotional tale of love, not romance, but true love in its many guises. This is a journey worth taking with this author.
This is a well-written tale and my first by this author, but not my last. This is a journey worth taking with this author and is truly a tale worth reading.
I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily
Set designer Danica Kensington, has the perfect boyfriend, the ghost of Hollywood movie star, Flint Reese. flint has been with her for several years when he suddenly disappears from her life. But when she meets actor, Liam James, on a set she believes Flint is there as well. Liam and Danica get together but are then separated for a year. When he returns, Danica isn’t sure if he wants her or just the baby he didn’t know about but that’s not the only problem they’re facing. They have several issues to work through and some problems come from unexpected places.
I absolutely loved this book. I was pulled in from the beginning and kept enthralled until the end. The book’s well-written with well-rounded characters, some you’ll like and others you won’t. This is a great follow-up to the first book and I truly hope there’s more to come. I highly recommend both book and series.
This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Bright Phantoms by Lulu M. Syvian is the second book in the Second Endings series. This is my first Lulu M. Sylvian read and I read this book as a drop-in (I did not read book one) so it took me a minute to catch up. I thought the characters had sizzling chemistry and were well developed. I love the authors crisp writing style and thought the book emotionally charged. I would recommend reading this series in order to get the maximum enjoyment from the read.
