A NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLERBright Line Eating has helped thousands of people from over 75 countries lose all their excess weight and keep it off. Are you ready to join them?In this book, Susan Peirce Thompson, Ph.D. shares the groundbreaking weight-loss solution based on her highly acclaimed Bright Line Eating Boot Camps. Rooted in cutting-edge neuroscience, psychology, and biology, Bright Line … psychology, and biology, Bright Line Eating explains why people who are desperate to lose weight fail again and again:
It’s because the brain blocks weight loss.
Bright Line Eating (BLE) is a simple approach designed to reverse that process. By working with four “Bright Lines” — clear, unambiguous, boundaries — Susan Peirce Thompson shows us how to heal our brain and shift it into a mode where it is ready to shed pounds, release cravings, and stop sabotaging our weight loss goals.
Best of all, it is a program that understands that willpower cannot be relied on, and sets us up to be successful anyway.
Through the lens of Susan’s own moving story, and those of her Bright Lifers, you’ll discover firsthand why traditional diet and exercise plans have failed in the past. You’ll also learn about the role addictive susceptibility plays in your personal weight-loss journey, where cravings come from, how to rewire your brain so they disappear, and more. Susan guides you through the phases of Bright Line Eating —from weight loss to maintenance and beyond —and offers a dynamic food plan that will work for anyone, whether you’re vegan, gluten-free, paleo, or none of the above.
Bright Line Eating frees us from the obesity cycle and introduces a radical plan for sustainable weight loss. It’s a game changer in a game that desperately needs changing.
“Bright Line Eating ushers in an end to cravings, an end to dieting, an end to that constant, exhausting, soul-sucking loop in your head about food and calories and pounds. . . . Living Happy, Thin, and Free is your birthright.” — Susan Peirce Thompson

This is one of those miracle books, honestly. To many of us, evidently. Many, many, many of us. I have always been thin and believed happiness is a choice, so I was living Happy, Thin and free in many ways, but not FOOD freedom. Now I am! It’s amazing! And I’m just beginning this journey.
I’m like Day 88 of no flour, no sugar, and and have a really good idea of HOW MUCH food, not how little, I should be eating, now that I’ve read the book. And she explains maintenance fabulously, so I’m pretty much ready for that part now. I am doing my own version, honestly, of Whole30 and Bright Line Eating, because I don’t actually write down what I’m going to eat the night before, but I do make precise choices, stick to them, and have only my food in my diet now, no “Not My Food” as you’ll learn if you read this, NMF, and am about 10 -12 pounds thinner than I was when I got married. I do write down my food and track lots of things and am going to figure myself out even more. I only lost 10-12 pounds, and that’s more than I was even hoping/wanting, and it’s still absolutely amazing, like, I’m never getting over it, never stopping this, THIS IS IT, because it IS food freedom. Bright Lines are exactly perfect for my brain, and lovely for my body, and I’m sleeping every single night like a regular person, healthy good, “it really counts” kind of healing, resting sleep, so I’m eager to share this with whoever is interested or wants to stop that brain nonsense. I am so excited about days that I have dreaded before, because I knew I would “be bad” with my food on those days, and now I won’t even be tempted, and I can really enjoy them, and not gain any weight, and NOT fight in my brain about anything! And I’m a much, much better example for our kiddos. I can’t say enough thanks to Susan for sharing this with the world. I hope to be able to share it too; it’s changed my brain in very, very good ways! It’s helped me understand SO, SO much. (and I mean like 5,000 So’s there; there’s not enough room;-) I think this will help my dad not have to take any insulin too, and that makes me really super hopeful for him too! Because I really want to keep him as long as I can and want him to feel better!
This is not another “diet” book but a lifestyle. Susan Peirce Thompson Explains the science of why we overeat. It is your last diet you will ever be on and you will become “happy, thin and free”.
too strict for me; however I was able to take the information and adapt it to my diet.
