BRIGHT CHRISTMAS. Alicia Best
Hannah loved the magic of Christmas with.snow, and sleigh rides wondering what it would be like instead of sun. Work was her escape, and now a chance to go to the frozen north. Shady Piers festival would be in the travel magazine, and her career, her story depends on the Christmas Tree lighting. Jackson is refusing this year, to give them a tree, and that won’t do for Hannah. Jamie stays with his Mom, and won’t be coming for Christmas, and without a lawyer what can he do. Closing the Tree Farm till Feb, hurting families and employees, wanting a tree. It meant everything to have his son. Hannah going to see Jackson and informing him that his reign as the Grinch was going to end. Whimsical, and a delight to read, of one determinded woman and wanting all she thought Christmas should be.

Another sweet story set in Shady Piers. This was a Christmas story with a very important message for divorced parents. Message works for everyone but divorced parents in particular. Shady Piers is a sweet location all of the time but at Christmas it’s Magicial!! You must go visit sometime!
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Good clean book. Would have loved to have read more on Jackson & Hannah’s romance. So maybe a followup to their getting to know each other, before the ending! I would highly recommend reading this book.

A holiday must read and great addition to the Shady Piers series’.
The perfect book to get you in a festive mood! From the prologue you are drawn into the characters and the town of Shady Piers. You won’t be able to put it down!
Bright Christmas is a sweet story about family, communication and negotiation. I am a sucker for Christmas stories anyway, but this may be my favorite in the Shady Piers clean romance series. Hannah is an outstanding addition to the folks in Shady Piers. She is quite a catalyst for change. Very amusing plot that kept me reading when I only mean to take a short break! Do not miss this great Christmas story.

This was a well written story with great characters. The book starts with Hannah, going to a postcard perfect town for work. When she arrives, she encounters a big problem and his name is Jackson. I loved the personalities of the different people in the book and how hard headed some of them could be. Can Hannah solve the problem or will her job be lost and Christmas ruined? If you like hallmark shows, you will love this.
4.5 stars
This is the fourth book in this series that I have read (4-7) and it is by far my favorite. It was a sweet little Christmas story that dealt with the importance of family and negotiating divorce. It might seem unrealistic to some that divorced parents could have a positive relationship that included new spouses and all spending time together in order to support their child but my grandparents were divorced and my grandfather remarried. They were all friends, even taking vacations together so I know it can happen. It is too bad that more families can’t figure out how to maintain positive relationships allowing the children to feel more security in their parents.
I liked the main characters in the book and my heart broke for the sadness that they experienced until they learned to communicate better. Hannah was pretty bold and really was just stepping in where she didn’t really belong but in the end she helped everyone. Jackson was gruff but also showed he could be soft too. And Jackson’s son is cute.

Hannah has come to Shady Piers to cover the Christmas Festival and the tree lighting ceremony. Jackson’s ex-wife, Gail, isn’t going to let him have his son, Jamie, for Christmas this year. Jackson is hurting, so decides that he won’t provide Christmas trees to the the town or any of the families. Hannah confronts him. Will a Christmas miracle happen or will the town be treeless? No spoilers, so grab your copy and enjoy this delightful Christmas story.
This was another very sweet romance by Alicia Best to add to the “Shady Piers” collection. This book was about Jackson, who owns the Christmas tree lot, and Hannah. She has lived her entire life in sunny California and a white Christmas has been in her dreams since she was a little girl. This year her dreams will come true.
She travels to Shady Piers, Maine to do an article and hopefully land the job of her dreams. Join her and so many old friends from prior books to see how her Christmas in Maine will turn out. A very clean, sweet read that I would recommend.
I did receive an ARC copy of this book. This is my personal, honest and voluntary review and all opinions are strictly my own.
