I thoroughly enjoyed this glimpse into life in the outback of Australia. A harsh environment where people help each other and isolation is part of life. I enjoyed the way the author worked the mental and physical toils into the three love stories. Each book focuses on one of the three brothers who grew up on Brigadier Station. Men who overcome their dysfunctional childhoods to become men of substance and the strong, capable women they fall in love with. Be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster as the couples come together and individuals deals with their pasts and the current hardships that they are placed in. The writing is well done, easy to read and engaging. I liked all three books and recommend you read them in order. This is a box set worth reading from a very talented author.
Moments it dragged and unless the reader is from Australia, some of the wording was lost, but overall it was good.
A fun read and somewhat different with the location.
Life, Love and Family in the Queensland outback
This boxed set of three stories is the first time I have read anything by Sarah Williams and I liked them. Each story is the set centers on a different brother in the McGuire family. But they all have the same foundation running between them with characters, places and events continuing.
This is a lovely boxset and reading more about the outback I loved, as I have a thing for Australia and am fascinated by the cattle stations and life on them.
I would definitely recommend this to others and I look forward to reading more in this series.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

I really enjoyed these three books. They tell the live stories of three brothers who have had a rough upbringing. You feel sorry for Lauchie in the first book but he sort of brings it on himself. The second book brings a strong independent woman into the mix. The third is about a strong pull between two people.

I am so glad I was able to read this collection!
The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole of each story. I found myself in love with not only the characters, but also the worlds that were created.
Great character development with enough of the everyday grind to really be able to sink into each and every book.

This set is the story of a family in the outback during a severe drought. It’s worth every minute that I spent reading it.
The Brothers of Brigadier Station – Meghan leaves the city to come to Brigadier station – she’s engaged to marry Lachlan. As she spends time at the station, she grows to love his family and their friends. And realizes that he’s not the right one for her. I read the other two books first, so I knew in general terms what had happened, but not the now or why of it. There are also some bittersweet moments, because I know what happens a bit in the future. This is a wonderful book, as all of them are, making me feel like I’m there in the story.
The Sky Over Brigadier Station – Noah’s father was abusive, so he left and didn’t come back for a long while. He’s had a bad breakup, and comes home for his brother Darcy’s wedding, and to claim his inheritance, working the family ranch while he’s there. Riley is a helicopter pilot, and a pretty good one at that. Darcy occasionally uses Riley’s services to help herd their cattle. Noah is falling for Riley even as he’s afraid to get involved – she’s a free spirit, and he doesn’t want to think that he would tie her down. I thought there was a bit of a slow start, but about three or four chapters in, I was completely hooked. This was a wonderful story of forgiveness and overcoming the past to move on to a new and better future. I enjoyed seeing this family grow in love and numbers. This is my first read from this author.
The Legacies of Brigadier Station – Lachie’s sober, but has a medical problem and needs surgery. Everything goes as planned, but the doctor won’t let him leave because he lives too far from the hospital (just in case). Abbie – the nurse – offers to have him stay with her. She’s a single mom to Hannah, an adorable little girl and the light of Abbie’s life. They begin to spend time together, and seem to enjoy each other. But who is Hannah’s father? Can Abbie and Lachie find enough common ground to find their happy ending? I love this book. This was life exactly how life is – pain, love, suspense, community, family. I read it in one sitting, and am looking forward to this author’s next work.

Welcome to another land of cattle stations and the McGuire brothers. So enjoyed all the stories in this book set and looking for the rest of the series. Good characters, setting and story lines with family dynamics and journeys to find heart’s mate.

This set has three books in it, The Brothers of Brigadier Station, The Sky Over Brigadier Station, and The Legacies of Brigadier Station.
The Brothers of Brigadier Station (Book 1)
Meghan is engaged to Lachlan and goes home to meet his family. While there visiting, she meets Lachie’s younger brother Darcy. Lachie leaves her alone a lot to hang out with friends and drink. She gets to know Darcy thanks to being left alone and the two quickly become friends. It isn’t long before Meghan realizes that Lachie doesn’t spend much time with her and he’s a much different man when he’s at home then when he was visiting her in the city. She realized that she doesn’t know him very well at all. Will she go through with the wedding or will she be brave enough to break off the engagement?
The Sky Over Brigadier Station
Noah is the youngest McGuire brother. He left home 10 years ago to escape a very horrible home life and to follow his love, Jade, to New Zealand (where she is from). He’s home for his brother’s wedding and meets Riley who is a helicopter pilot. Noah returns to the family home to help out his oldest brother for a few days when he finds out that Riley is going to be helping out a neighbor for a few weeks. The dance around a relationship because they’re both worried about losing their hearts but they can’t seem to stay away from each other either. Noah doesn’t think he can have a fling with Riley and not lose his heart and Riley isn’t one for serious relationships. They both have a lot of issues to work out if they want to be together.
The Legacies of Brigadier Station
This is Lachlan’s story. Lachlan’s messed up a lot of things and people over the years due to his drinking. He’s a recovering alcoholic and working hard to be a better man. He meets Abbie when he gets hurt at a community party. Abbie is a nurse and volunteers to take him to the hospital to get checked out. Lachie needs to stay near the hospital so Abbie volunteers to take care of him at let him stay with her and her young daughter Hannah. The longer he stays the more attached he gets to the both of them but he’s afraid he’ll hurt or disappoint them like he has everyone else in his life. Abbie has a secret that might change things. Will it break them apart or bring them together?

This series is my first read by this author and I enjoyed all three books. I like the casual writing style blended with the good choice of characters and the interesting storylines. I always love when I can find a writer that transports me to their country as if I’m there in person. The fact this series is set in Australia grabbed my interest. The culture and customs and livestyles of this part of Oz was interesting.
The Brothers of Brigadier Station #1 – The story of Lachlan and Meghan and his brother Darcy, which also builds the history and foundation of Brigadier Station and the McGuire family. 4*
The Sky Over Brigadier Station #2 – With Meghan’s wedding approaching, brother Noah is unwilling returning to Brigadier Station after leaving ten years previously. This is his and Riley’s story, which shares more of the McGuire past. I find the work of Australia’s stations interesting, just as I do about American ranches, but was intrigued about another job that is not commonly written about in either country. 4*
The Legacies of Brigadier Station #3 – This story starts almost eleven months after Sky ends. It is Abbie’s turn to find a McGuire to love. This is my favorite of the series, where a lot of the past, the present and the future come together. Terrible things happen, but so do many wonderful things.
While all these books can be read on their own, start with the first story and see the McGuire history unfold. I found this author on Booksprout. 5*
The drama is gut wrenching and so realistic.
The emotional ride was amazing.
This is a great box set and I really really enjoy it each book is about a different brother and each storyline is completely different from the last one. This is a great series you will just love these books I would recommend them to all.
This boxset will touch your hearts from the characters and their stories. I fell for the first story that involved Lachie, Darcy and Meghan. Lachie is the oldest brother who not only got all the attention from their father, he was spoiled and destined to take control of Brigadier Station. His engagement to Meghan should have been the highlight of his life but he brushed it off and paid very little attention leaving Darcy the one to be there for her while he was out and about. Their failed relationship opened up possibilities for Darcy and Meghan. Will Lachie get his happily ever after in the end? Noah’s journey is just as touching and draws you in as well. Each story gives more insight into the brothers and their remarkable lives they have lived.

Three very different love stories for three very different brothers!
This box set consists of three standalone romances, one for each of the McGuire brothers. Because so much of each story focuses on the relationships of the brothers and their mom as well as the love stories, reading all three together in a set is really the best way to experience them.
First up is Darcy’s romance with Meghan, whose relationship with his brother, Lachie, starts our journey and provides an introduction to the entire Brigadier Station cast. As we get to know more of their family history, we see that Meghan’s engagement to Lachie is doomed and we start to root for Darcy to be able to find his future with her.
The second book takes place around Darcy and Meghan’s wedding, with family secrets laid bare and the prodigal son, Noah, returning home. Noah’s romance with Riley exposes the risks inherent in love and in life as well.
In the final book of the set, Lachie’s wild past sneaks up on him in a most unexpected way, just as he’s coming to terms with the legacy his father left behind.
There are tragedies and crises throughout these books as the stories unfold with exceptional accuracy and honesty. I really enjoyed the focus on family bonds, and the willingness of the characters to forge their best lives out of the circumstances they face. The writing is beautifully done, visually vibrant and heartwarming all at once. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this set.
