A NEW YORK TIMES, USA TODAY, and PUBLISHERS WEEKLY bestsellerIn this riveting saga of temptation, grace, and unconditional love, the New York Times bestselling author of Redeeming Love and The Masterpiece delivers big-canvas storytelling at its very best.To those who matter in 1950s Hollywood, Lena Scott is the hottest rising star to hit the silver screen since Marilyn Monroe. Few know her real … star to hit the silver screen since Marilyn Monroe. Few know her real name is Abra. Even fewer know the price she’s paid to finally feel like she’s somebody.
To Pastor Ezekiel Freeman, Abra will always be the little girl who stole his heart the night he found her, a wailing newborn abandoned under a bridge on the outskirts of Haven. Zeke and his son, Joshua―Abra’s closest friend―watch her grow into an exotic beauty. But Zeke knows the circumstances surrounding her birth have etched scars deep in her heart, scars that leave her vulnerable to a fast-talking charmer who lures her to Tinseltown. Hollywood feels like a million miles from Haven, and naive Abra quickly learns what’s expected of an ambitious girl with stars in her eyes. But fame comes at a devastating price. She has burned every bridge to get exactly what she thought she wanted. Now all she wants is a way back home.
“One of the edgiest Christian romances I have had the pleasure of reading in a long while. Francine Rivers has woven a deeply moving story with an adept hand that knows just how to layer humanity, in all its beautiful and ugly truth, into almost every individual who steps onto the page.” USA Today’s Happy Ever After Blog
“This is another compelling and moving story by one of the genre’s most honored and talented writers.” Library Journal, starred review
“Rivers returns with a page-turning recasting of the story of the prodigal son, here a prodigal daughter. . . . This story arc will be particularly resonant for Christian readers, but Rivers has the writing ability to reel in others who enjoy a well-told tale of redemption.” Publishers Weekly

A book about redemption – always a way back to God.
If you love inspirational Christian real life adventurous romance then this books for you. It has tragedy overcome by Gods loving grace. This is the second book I have read of Francine Rivers and it was even better than the first which I didn’t think possible. She is truly a gifted writer. The situations Abra finds herself in due to poor choices and heartbreak are realistic with God there with her through it all. I loved that even though Abra was somewhat of a rebel her family and friends back home never gave up praying for her. What an awesome book with a surprising ending
I loved this book! Francine Rivers is one of my favorite authors, she never fails to have me fall right into the characters and storyline, as if Im living in the story. Very inspirational, as these characters are not perfect, and yet God is turning what they’ve done wrong, around for their good.
I love anything Francine Rivers writes.
Excellent read! Love everyone of Francine Rivers books that I have read!
Somewhat thought provoking. Made you think about what could happen if you turn your back on your family and your faith.
Good read with interesting characters. Highly recommend!
Not as good as her other books.
Another great book by Francine Rivers!
Francine Rivers books are always hard to put down once you start reading them. Good story line always.
Page turning book. I didn’t know what was going to happen next
I was a little disappointed in this Francine Rivers novel in that it got a little too steamy in regards to intimate sexual details. Every book I’ve ever read by Francine Rivers (and I’ve got a great many of her books) has been so very great. So that’s why I was surprised in reading Bridge To Heaven.
I thoroughly enjoy anything Francine Rivers has written.
A gripping walk though the life of someone who was held prisoner by their wounded past. An unforgettable tale of loss, forgiveness and finding a way back to God.
I love all of Francine Rivers books – this one, too.
Not the best of of Francine Rivers that I’ve read but it was based on a town I grew up in so enjoyed it and all the memories that came back to me from childhood. An enjoyable read.
Violence: implied, no details
Language: no swears
Sex: heavily implied, no details
Contemporary romance, *super* heavy on religion. I loved Redeeming Love by Ms Rivers, but I felt overwhelmed with religion in this one. I realize that one of the main characters is a preacher, but it was past that.
The poor heroine and her broken self! I did love her journey to God’s love and His hand in all things. I liked that not everything was wrapped up in a tidy package, but the main things were resolved in a supremely satisfying way. I’d probably read it again
Excellent book ! I love many of her books!
I enjoyed this book, but not a favorite of Francine Rivers books for me. I usually love her books. I found myself skimming pages, and that isn’t good.
A GOOD READ, BY AN EXCELLENT AUTHOR.
