Sybilla Collins knows nothing of prophecies. She keeps her head down as she goes through her mundane life in Portland, Oregon.
Her world is shaken when she wakes up in a dank, dark dungeon of what she believes is someone who takes cosplay a little too seriously. She is convinced she’s been kidnapped from her bed.
When her eyes land on the man she believes has kidnapped her, something happens … something happens inside of her. His scarred face should be frightening. Except she can only think of one thing–his touch, she needs it like she needs her next breath.
King Elias Wainwright is now the fateful King of Bunafi. A title he never wished to have, born to a man he’s always despised, a man who was a traitor. The former king is dead. Elias’ sense of duty is now the only reason he sits on the throne.
Sent to fulfill an ancient prophecy of a parallel universe, Elias and Sybilla must find their true heart’s love, or risk the ruin of the world. Knights, magic, gods, and goddesses are what make up this strange new land.
Choices must be made, walls must be broken down, and two people who guard themselves must allow themselves to be vulnerable and find love to fulfill the prophecy or risk certain ruin of an entire world.

This is the first time reading Hayley Faiman as a PNR author and I have to admit I was a little hesitant. I LOVE Hayley’s books and devoured them when I find them. But when I found that she wrote the Prophecy of Sisters series I thought WTH I have nothing to lose, I am sooo happy I jumped at the chance to read them!
Bride of the Traitor is a wonderful new world and I adored it. Fate brings two people together from two different worlds that have no business being. Sybilla and King Elias have a LOT of differences to get through. Sybilla is a strong female character that I loved reading. She didn’t put up with Elias and his crap and made sure he knew that he needed her. And King Elias well he is everything you could hope for if you are ever sent to another world.
The storyline for this book spans throughout all four stories but each book will give us a love that is unstoppable. Elias and Sybilla is the first one and I couldn’t put it down!
I love this series! My favorite from Hayley for sure!!
This was a different feel then what I’m used to reading from Hayley. I’m used to her awesome MC or Mafia books, so this was a great change for me. She killed it too! Mystical reads for me are a hit or miss, but this is DEFINTELY A HIT!
If you’re a sucker for a hot steamy read, with a great story all tied up together in a nice present, this is undeniably the book for YOU. I loved the story and the imaginative world Hayley created. It flowed very well and didn’t leave me scratching my head trying to figure out what in the world was going on.
Growing up and watching medieval shows or anything from the past even “Outlander,” I always thought it would be awesome to be transported back into time or into a mythical world. In reality though, we would all be like Sybilla. What do I mean by that? She is how we would all react to being thrown into a world we had no clue existed or imagined. She was so adamant that she was kidnapped by cosplayer. To be honest I didn’t blame her. If I woke up to what she did I would of thought I was a Looney Toon. Sybilla’s character developed so well though, even after coming to terms with her circumstances she was a strong and confident character in the end and it was awesome watching her grow with the story.
Elias made me laugh and want to punch him at the same time. Like how many people need to tell you what is going on before you believe them?? I also loved their difference language and I give Hayley props for the creativity. The first time Sybilla said “Fuck” was the best scene ever. Elias also had great character development and you could really see him grow into his role of King and not get pulled down by politics or doubt. I love that in a character.
Elias & Sybilla together was a crazy ride. You really had to sit on the edge of your seat through out the story because you did not know how one or the other was going to react within each scene. Hayley created some fire though with these two. The scene’s she wrote had me needing a fan and stiff drink. I love some spice in my reads and she did not disappoint on that front as always.
In the end, I recommend checking it out! She has the second book due to release August 31st, 2020 and I will be reading it next since I’ve seen you don’t have to read this one first, but I’m OCD and like to follow book orders. SO CHECK THIS ONE OUT NOW, you can thank me later!

Relationship Type: MF
Sub-Romance Genre: This is a hard one to categorize. I’d put mythical maybe?
Trigger Warnings: Not really any from me, except some violence
Age Appropriateness: 18+
Ending Type: Not a Cliffie
I was taken into the world of enchantment and fantasy where the leaves are blue, the snow glitters and a mythological large horse with wings talk. Between that and enchanted kingdoms, witches, and elephant birds I was completely mesmerized!
The insta development between Sybilla and Elias was off the charts hot. Talk about stamina!!
I normally do not read this genre, but I am so glad that I did. It was an exciting and magical journey!
Oh my goodness, Hayley Faiman. It’s like she knew I needed a kick in the pants with a new trope to get me back in the swing of things.
Bride of the Traitor is FANTASTICAL. I enjoy fantasy but haven’t found a fantasy romance that has been able to gain or keep my attention until Bride of the Traitor. Hayley quickly transports us from what we know as our world now to a parallel universe. Not only is there a hot and heavy romance, which we know Hayley excels at, but there is an interesting prophecy that keeps you wondering and by the end ready for the next book in the series.
Even if you don’t think you will be into fantasy romance, read this book! I am so excited for the next one!
Can I say… MIND BLOWN!!! This is my first book by this author after much harassment from my bestie to get on the Hayley Faiman train, and omg why did I wait?!?!?! This story, this concept??? I am literally speechless for words when it comes to it. There is such a unique way that Faiman writes that keeps you completely engrossed in every single word that I am just at a loss for words. There is grit, passion, sizzle, intrigue, and so so much more that is fully encompassed by this story. The push and pull between Sybilla and Elias is spellbinding that keeps you on your toes and wondering how this will all play out.
I have to say that this is so far, one of my favorites for 2020 and I think it will stick with me for a long time. It was perfect in so many ways. I was wanting yell, swoon and cry at moments for everything that Sybilla has to endure as she is thrusted into this whole situation. Seeing Elias fight with his might emotionally. Honestly, there are zero words that will do this book complete justice. If you want a unique fantasy story with so much to offer, then pick up this book. I NEED more now!
Okay so I have read Hayley Faimans stories from her Unfit Hero series to Mafia yet this one just surprised me in a way I have not been surprised before. We have Sybilla Collins, normal, average girl just living her life and trying to find a new start after so many disasters. Then we have King Elias, a man who has been thrust into ruling a place he never wanted to rule and cleaning ups the last King’s mess. Yet fate sure has a way of bringing these two people together in a way nobody expected. This is the part I loved how Hayley Faiman brought them together and though it went real fast in the beginning she really stretched out their well bonding. There is a hate/love and even confusion on their parts yet it is more than chemistry that brings them together. Seeing them learning about each other and their passion was in a way hot and temperamental. Hayley Faiman doesn’t just write about Elias and Sybilla but we see the people of Bunafi from her lady maids to Elias best friends trying to figure out what their King will do now. This is the first part of a Prophecy that the world of Bunafi has never seen and we still have three more sisters coming from this talented and imaginative mind of Hayley Faiman. Cannot wait to see what she does with next sister.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
Bride of The Traitor is book 1 in the new series The Prophecy of Sisters by author Hayley Faiman. It’s a amazingly hot mix of fantasy , romance, magic , intrigue, action, time travel, and heat that takes the reader on a fantastic journey. This was Elias and Sybilla’s complex and unique story. I wasn’t sure before I started if I was going to like it; 3 pages in I knew that this book was going to be different. By the end, Bride of the Traitor was such a surprise- completely magical, beautiful, and just swoon-worthy!! I can’t wait to read this new series and dive into this new world that Ms. Faiman has written about.
My Rating: 4.5 stars ********

This is my first adventure into the Fantasy sub genre of romance, and I couldn’t be happier about it! Being a fan of Ms. Faiman I trusted her to give the type of story that will have to sitting on the edge of your seat unable to put the book down until you have finished. This is a book with an interesting twist, combining fantasy with contemporary. Our hero is a newly crowned King in a fantasy land. Our heroine has no idea how she winds up going to sleep in modern day Portland, Oregon and wakes in Bunafi. What follows is an extremely sexy, powerful, sweet and exciting story of Elias and Sybilla, a couple destined by the Gods to be together. I cannot wait for the story of the rest of the three sisters, destined for a future in Bunafi!
Cara – Alphas Do It Better Book Blog
I’ve jut recently started reading Hayley Faiman and I’m so happy I’ve been introduced to get writing cause it’s incredible. The way this book was written draws you into the different worlds so effortlessly and Elias world was beautiful!!! The moment Sybilla sees Elias while not knowing where she is she doesn’t feel scared but enchanted by Elias not understanding this pull to him not knowing how important there union is about to become. Loved it
Wow. Just. Freaking. Wow. I have loved, and I mean LOVED all of Hayley Faiman’s books, but this new venture into a land of fantasy and magic has beyond blown me away. This book combines the perfect mixture of adventure, magic, emotion, steam, and romance all with a bit more of an edge that I’ve come to love with Hayley’s writing. There is no lack for tender moments between Elias and Sybilla but equal to that is a wallop of an emotional edge and heat. SO. MUCH. HEAT.
These two define the word explosive when it comes to their chemistry. Everything they do is filled with passion. Fighting and loving equally fueled by the flames that exist between them. They’re utterly magnificent. This book is an incredible start to an amazing journey I can’t wait to continue with this series!
Bride of the Traitor is the first book in The Prophecy of Sisters.
At the beginning of this book there is a reference for Words and Phrases of Bunafi, Geography of Bunafi & Animals of Bunafi. I always love having a reference for something I might not be familiar with.
I haven’t read too many books by this author but I felt this was book was different from the other books that I have read by her.
I thought there was great world building in this recent times meets fantasy book. This story is set in a parallel universe of Bunafi. There is a prophecy that Four Sisters will be born and they aren’t of the world of Bunafi. Each sister will meet and marry & love a warrior from all four corners of their world. Once all the sisters are in place they will become unstoppable and they will be the most powerful creatures of this world.
Elias is now King of Bunafi and Sybilla (who is from Portland, Oregon) wakes up and finds herself in this new world. And the story continues from here.
I really enjoyed reading this book. This fantasy world of Bunafi was like the Medieval times only with magical mythological horses with flying wings and witches. I truly loved reading this book. It was interesting learning all about this made up world.
I look forward to reading more and can’t wait to read about the second sister! 4.5 stars
¨I’m terrified to be used by you, and yet, when you’re here with me I find that I crave you.¨
Sybilla lived a modern life just yesterday, so why is she now laying on the hard, cold stone floors in the dungeon, dressed in pajamas? Why has she woken up there and why is she staring at the most beautiful man she has ever seen?
King Elias Wainwright is nothing like his father, a traitor. But he does need a wife to rule and to be respected by the people.
There’s a threat of an ancient prophecy of a parallel universe. Elias and Sybilla must find their true heart’s love, or risk the ruin of the world. When she sets her eyes on him, and he wants her, maybe forever.
This story is amazing. The landscape is presented so beautifuly. I wished to be there. And the heat level is off the charts!
You just have to read this book!
