It took me a while to get into the story. But when I clicked I couldn’t put it down. Just when I thought I had it figured out things changed. Great story.
Jane is a homebody with a wanderer’s heart. Her life has been mapped out for her, but she hungers for something more. She longs for the land of mythical pirates and hidden treasure. She longs for adventure and she is determined to make that dream a reality. Opening a business in the Caribbean is hard work, but it’s something she’s determined to see through. When a chance encounter with a handyman leaves her questioning everything she thought she wanted, will she risk it all for a chance at true love? Ayala issues an invitation to a last summer fling in one of the most exotic locations on earth. Who needs an airplane, Bride for Breakfast is the perfect escape to fall in love with love.
Bride for Breakfast is a beautifully fascinating tale of love found, cultivated, and claimed before it is lost. I was lost to the beauty and allure of the exotic location. The lush colors and breathtaking array of animals and flowers had me in awe at its wonderful description and obvious appreciation. This is truly a once in a lifetime love that had me appreciating every detail and interaction. You just can’t take this incredible connection for granted. Some people never find it, or if they do, it isn’t for long. My heart didn’t want to return to my own surroundings after falling in love with the island where this amazing love is born.
Jane has arrived on a Caribbean island in order to lay claim to her inheritance. She never expected the list of stipulations that she has to complete in order to call her bed and breakfast her own. She also didn’t expect the handyman Elio to come barging into her life full of complaints and demands. Not sure if she should fall into his arms or tell him off, she decides on something in the middle. As they work together, Jane beings to fall in love with the island, Elio’s family and most especially Elio himself. She can’t help the wild pull to him she feels, or the overwhelming desire to help his family overcome their hardships. Elio beings to see the real Jane, and he can’t stop himself from falling for her despite his initial resolutions. Jane is everything he wants in a woman, and the fact that she is willing to get her hands dirty to help her dreams come true is not lost on him. However, can these two fulfill the requirements of the will while holding onto their love, or will they allow outside pressures like the rumors of buried treasure or Jane’s family tear them apart?
Jane and Elio truly took me by surprise. I wasn’t expecting the simple Grande family that overflowed their house with love while Jane’s family excelled in tearing their girls down. When Jane meets Elio sparks fly on many different levels. She doesn’t have the love that he shares with his family, but she wants it more than anything. As they work together, Elio begins to show her what she has been missing, and she devours it whole. Giving love to those who are loveless is like giving a thirsty man life giving water. Is it one of the greatest things that you can ever do. Jane’s family has left her unprepared for this simple family, but she will do anything to help them out and show them that she appreciates their kindness and love extended to her.
