RE-PUBLISHED by the author, this is Book One of the Warriors of Phaeton series.Poppy is bored to tears with her dead-end job and dull life, so when a species of alien warlords arrives on Earth, seeking women to help repopulate their race, why wouldn’t she sign up? She doesn’t care who she’s matched with—until she meets him. Sexy, long-haired, leather-pants-wearing Wheaton was a bit more than she … more than she bargained for.
Diplomat Wheaton expected a cultured Earthling to help in his mission, not some crazy-haired woman named after a flower and whose speech baffles his translator. Pardon my French? Knock it off? But Wheaton is soon smitten and eager to turn Poppy’s good-morning kisses into an all-day affair. Doing the nasty? Bring it on!
But Poppy must do battle with the slimy councilor Demascus, and an extremist group opposed to the Pact. And that’s before a glitch in the Bridal Pact program makes all existing matches invalid, and glossy Hannah, the perfect politician’s wife, arrives on board. Her match: Wheaton.
Note: this book is a RE-RELEASE of a work previously published by Ellora’s Cave. The Warriors of Phaeton series is now self-published independently by the author, Leora Gonzales.

Couldn’t wait to continue with book 2
Could not put it down, excellent convoluted storyline. Ten thumbs up. Can’t wait to read more from this author
Good author, good story. Already started book 2, but may go back and read book1 again.
The book is alright, it was predictable.
I began reading this just today and can’t put it down! It really is a whole new line of thinking…now I want to read another in this series to see how it plays out.
Unlike any book I’ve ever read. I usually buy most of the books BookBub suggests and let it sit on the shelf for a while. Not with this book. I read it immediately after purchasing it. I definitely reccomend if you like paranormal romance. There were some steamy parts, and a couple of the characters were very similar in personality, but the plot was great.
Good idea poor execution.
It was great.
I liked it but it really is a knock off of Grace Goodwin books
for the very young – hard to relate to the stories but feel that younger people could
Good story line. Made you want to keep reading to see what happens next.
I confess that I read it only because the premise reminded me of my teenage years. The execution was pretty simplistic, though, and not as much fun as I hoped.
Characters too fake, unrealistic , could not finish the book.
I was so hooked I have the series and also recommended it to my sister.
This book was OK. I just had a hard time getting into the ‘groove’ of it. But – try a new author, give her a try!!!
Was ok. A very slow moving storyline.
I loved it . Couldn’t put it down
Not my favorite. Quick read straight forward.
not very original story line but a bit of fun.
Seemed a little wordy. Interesting sci fi book- not my usual genre, but it was pretty good. Very descriptive, which is why it seemed a little wordy. Wish they spent more time focusing on the characters.
