****Can be read as a standalone****A zero fraternization policy. A sexy new boss. And a girl who’s hell-bent on breaking the rules.BreezyTo be fair, Derrick wasn’t technically my boss when we first met.He was just another average Joe who had a habit of turning my stomach into knots. The real problem started when we ran into each other during my interview and he made the mistake of telling me he … into each other during my interview and he made the mistake of telling me he didn’t date employees.
I was already attracted to the tall, dark, and handsome he was sporting, but now it’s like he placed a giant piece of chocolate cake in front of me and told me not to touch it.
What else does he expect me to do?
Derrick
I knew she was trouble.
The minute I met her, I could tell she was a hurricane.
Sweeping in and causing chaos wherever she goes. The wild hair, and infectious laugh?
I was almost a goner. But that was before I knew we’d be working together.
And now…
Now, she has no idea who she’s dealing with.
I have my rules for a reason, and I won’t be breaking them.
Not even for her.

I absolutely fell in love with Breezy! She is a hot mess at times and put together at others. Derrick is the perfect handsome Viking that she had to babe. The combination of the two made this book awesome!! Loved every page of it! Kelsie Rae has become one of my favorite authors with this series!
I usually stay away from office romances but I had such a great time reading Liv and Marcus that I figured why not and I am so glad I did. Now if you’re looking for sex and super angsty type of reads then stop right there. This isn’t that type of author and it’s darn refreshing. I know some folks like Breezy, happy, friendly, no filter and they can be a joy to be around and she’s all that and more. She grew up as one of the guys and fits right in with the men she works with all except the one she wants. It’s a fun game of cat and mouse and she owns up to her part of the game when it comes up instead of living the lie further. Breaking down defenses and getting the guy turns out easier than she thought and once the line is crossed it’s funny and worth the work to keep them at bay. A fun read from a new author who isn’t afraid of not making it about how much sex they can have. One reviewer said it was for grandmothers and YA but really it’s for anyone who wants a light easy read with some good laughs.
Have you ever been to a concert and stood the entire time in awe as the musician hit every damn note, moved at just the right time, glanced out at you as if you were the only person there and had a smile on their face as if they are having the best day of their life? Well, that’s the feeling you get when you read Breezy. I don’t know how it was possible for Kelsie Rae to create a character more lovable than Liv, but she has.
Simply put, Breezy is a hurricane in every sense of the word. She blows through the novel, taking your breath away every step. Poor Derrick, from the minute he has nachos spilled on him doesn’t stand a chance.
The beauty of Breezy is that Kelsie Rae hits every note. She formulates sentences like a maestro, placing the perfect word in the right place each and every time. She takes her Mastery of Chemistry, on full display in her previous work Liv, and kicks it up a notch to a PhD level. As you read the interactions between Breezy and Derrick, you will find yourself leaning forward, holding your breath, and wishing you were in the room with them. It is that damn compelling. Because of Breezy I will have a smile plastered on my silly face for some time. Thank You Kelsie Rae.
This is fun. Bree (aka Breezy, aka Hurricane) is a mess. She is klutzy, speaks her mind, and befriends most everyone around her. She is also fearless when it comes to her plan to get the man she wants, Derrick. Derrick has been burned before, and he has no intentions to get involved with an employee, whether or not he finds her sexy and funny. But Bree isn’t going to take no for an answer. The results are sweet, sexy, and hilarious. This is a great story.
I love this series! This book so funny, lighthearted, and touching. And Bree, I loved her feisty self so much! She was such a free spirit and so clumsy. But I’m glad Bree got her HEA. This book is a must- read!
I cannot get enough of these books! The characters are just the right amount of snarky yet loveable. Actually the snarky makes me love them even more. I adore Breezy. She is who I want to be when I grow up!
Loved this charmingly breezy book! Fun, easy sweet summer read. Well written, characters are relatable and real, lively, and I want them as neighbors! Recommended.
This was a really sweet read. I love Bree’s quirkiness and Derrick was just yummy. Can’t wait to read Jude’s book.
Kelsie Rae has done it again!! Breezy is as much fun to read as her first. If you like a sweet romance than this book is for you! The characters and the banter is spot on!
I love Bree! She is a sassy, spitfire who goes for what she wants with humor and maybe a bit of plotting to get her new boss, Derrick to not only notice her (because he already has), but to act on the chemistry they both feel.
Derrick doesn’t know what hit him, but when he finally figures it out there is no way he can stop the chemical explosion that is between himself and Bree!
Bree Jensen works at Tumblers but is hoping to get a new job and use her Human Resources Degree. She is known for being a little unspoken and lives life to the fullest.
Derrick McKinley is prepared for a lot of things but nothing prepares him for the hurricane known as Bree. When he first meets Bree he believes she is Rylee but soon she discovers who she really is when she applies for a job within his company.
But Derrick has personal rules set up to prevent himself from getting burned in love again and as much as he wants Bree he knows he can’t have her. But that doesn’t mean he wants anyone else to have her either.
Will Derrick give love a chance and will he believe in Bree the way that she believes in him?
This was such an awesome book and I loved it from start to finish.
Bree was just so awesome and I loved how she just said what she felt, even if it made someone uncomfortable. She was such a free spirit and I loved her personality. I loved how her and Jude worked together to make Derrick jealous and they just had so much fun with it.
Derrick was a little more guarded and always taken by surprise when it came to Bree. He was guarded for sure and gradually we learn about why and understand why he is so worried about mixing business and pleasure. I liked how Bree did call him out on it and it really made him think.
I was so happy that Derrick finally began to open up with Bree and give her a chance. I was so mad at how everything went sideways but I loved how respectful Bree still was with everything and never talked bad at all about Derrick and his company.
The chemistry between the two was awesome and I loved how much fun the two had when they were together. They were definitely intense together and I absolutely loved the go-karting!
The end was great and I loved how Derrick went outside the box to prove how sorry he was!
I can’t wait for more in this series!
This was an awesome story. Funny, heartfelt and romantic. Kept me laughing out loud!! Love Breezy’s word vomit!! A determined little spitfire takes on a reluctant alpha….what can go wrong??? Can’t wait to read Jude’s story!!
Such a great book that captures your attention right away and leaves you feeling lost afterwards because it was so good and you don’t know what to read next
What a FABULOUS story!!! I loved Bree in Liv, but this is her chance to really SHINE! She & Derrick (and Jude) are hilarious – I laughed out loud and smiled my way through their story. From their first meeting, Bree’s monologues were great! Their banter is fantastic, and their love… her Viking is swoon-worthy. I loved it so much I’m not even deducting anything for the SOB (seemingly obligatory breakup) because it did make a BIT of sense, and it didn’t last terribly long. And the way the apology happens… swoony again! AND!!! I’m looking forward to reading Jude when it comes out next month!
: )
I really liked Breezy. It was a cute story that had me laughing out loud. Bree and Derrick are very lovable characters.
If you’re in the mood for a light hearted read I’d recommend giving this one a try.
I look forward to reading Jude.
I am really enjoying this author’s books. I love Bree she was such a breath of fresh air she owns who she is and has no qualms about it, she is a perfect partner for Derrick. Such a great fun read, I can’t wait for more from this series
I absolutely loved this book from start to finish.
This author writes great books and I can’t wait to see what she writes next.
These characters will suck you in and root for them aswell as making you laugh along.
A great book and definitely worth a read.
I absolutely loved this reading. It’s very refreshing to find a leading female character who breaks the mold. Breezy was simply amazing. To me, she’s the hook of the story.
Derrick was also a good complement to Bree. It’s one of those couples that just click together. I loved their interactions, they were so funny.
I enjoyed this book a lot and being this Kelsie’s second book I’ll definitely check out her next releases.
Jude is so promising!!!
I love this author! This is book two of a series, but is able to be read as a stand alone as well. This was a fun love story of Bree and Derrick. Derrick doesn’t want a relationship but Bree changes his mind quickly. Their story is full of ups and downs and lots of spontaneous moments! I can’t wait to read her next book, Jude!
This story is one that I think everyone can relate to. Trust , the problems that happen when the trust is not there and you try to go on in your life always wondering is there something more to this friendship, is there something more to the relationship. I thought the author really did a great job with these characters and made it pretty believable that this really could happen.
Bree (Breezy, Hurricane) she is a wild one thats for sure. She has no filter to her mouth. This book is the 2nd book in the series, however it CAN be read as a standalone cause the characters from Liv are only in this one a short bit. I do however recommend reading Liv it is a GREAT book along with this one you will NOT be let done. Breezy is a funny ROM/COM book. Bree with her shenanigans to when over Derricks heart is hilarious I couldn’t put the book down. Now I can’t wait to read Jude’s book. Thanks Kelsie for the great reads so far.
