Very emotional story with a happy ending. Loved Erin and Devin together, they had great chemistry and the story line was very well written. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Another wonderful start to Carrie Ann Ryan series. The story starts at a class reunion that Erin hadn’t wanted to go to in the first place but her husband Nicholas did. When he disappeared, she went looking and found him humping the cheerleader from her class. She ran and went to a bar in a red sequin dress. There she meets Devin who takes care of her and lets her sleep it off on his couch. They meet up again 6 months later and she is divorced so eventually they go out. Their chemistry is very strong , but Erin is not sure she wants a relationship again. I loved all the characters in this book. It was fun to watch them grow. Some of the story was sweet, some was funny , but it was a great story and I really look forward to the next one. I got this book from the author for a honest review
Devin and Erin were awesome. I did a lot of “WTH” and “come on” while reading this book. I also did the “no don’t do that” in my head as well. I love when books pull me into the story. This book was just that. Again, relatable in the conflicts they go through, either directly or you know someone who it happened too. Carrie is a wonderful writer and I can’t wait for the next book.
Carrie Ann Ryan is one of my favorites and this book is a great example of why. Erin is damaged, but not destroyed. Rather, she’s putting herself back together again and that strength in the face of some really crazy sh-stuff is what I think people will relate to. But she’s scared & untrusting, also understandable. Devin is the guy we all hope to find…he wants more – a wife, a life with stability and romance, all the while being a sexy alpha in postman shorts. Erin and Devin’s journey feels real, possible, and makes you believe in second chances, because maybe you don’t get what you planned for but instead, get what you need.
Erin goes to her high school reunion with her husband. She finds him in a most precarious position and runs out where she runs into her sisters old boyfriend, Devin. A few months pass and Devin picks up a cake from Erin. He invites her to the party where the cake is being served. She agrees and they start a very friendly friendship. Erin is scarred from relationships and ends up pushing Devin away to protect herself. After much pain for both parties involved, they find their happily ever after.
New branch from the Montgomery family tree (sort of) but can easily be read as a standalone. This is the story of Devin and Erin. When they meet, Erin is a mess. She’s just left her ten-year high school reunion and has stumbled in to the first bar she finds to drown her sorrows. Devin recognizes Erin as the little sister of a girl he once dated. What he doesn’t realize is how she has grown into a beautiful woman; too bad she’s married. These two will discover how to be happy and enjoy their time together. And even though what starts out to be friends with benefits, they will soon realize their feelings will easily get in the way. How hard are these two willing to fight for something that they aren’t sure the other even wants?
Easy to fall into the pages and in love with all these beautiful characters. Be prepared to grab the next installments in this Less Than series because there’s still a lot to discover with this family.
Another phenomenal book by Carrie Ann Ryan! We got a small taste of the Carr siblings in Restless Ink Now we get to see them find their HEA.
Erin Taborn was just burned by her husband who she has been with since they were 10 years old. On the worst night of her life, it’s her sister’s ex-high school boyfriend Devin Carr comes to her rescue. Erin and Devin can’t stop thinking about one another, but Erin is not looking for a serious relationship so they try being friends with benefits. And we knew that never works, can Erin and Devin just be only friends re ill they give into the feels that we know are coming?
Like every new family that Carrie Ann writes, I fall in love with them, and the Carr siblings are no different. I can’t wait to see how some of these characters pairings working out because I see so much passion coming their way.
Carrie Ann Ryan has a way to pull you in put you in a blender of emotions , and make you feel like you have run a marathon with the happy ending at the end.
Devin and Erin both so broken , both needing something but not sure they can handle what comes next, they compliment each other so much that my heart hurt for what they both go through. Plus Devins family or should I say siblings are the rock they all need!!!
Book 1 in a new series from this established author & once again, it’s fantastic. Devin happens to be at the right place at the right time when Erin needs help. Fast forward a few months & once again their paths cross & this time things progress. I loved this couple. They were funny & sexy & loving. One thing that I’ve noticed in books by this author is that most characters just have an everyday, ordinary job because they’re just everyday, ordinary people. The type of people I can honestly imagine coming across in real life. I love that about these books. They’re easily relatable but still fun.
Wow what a sweet and spicy story about a woman who is lucky enough to have a second chance at love. Erin has hard dose of reality shoved in her face while at her high school reunion. After living what she lived through she decides to make a huge change in her life. Enter Devin a friend from the past who helps Erin see there is more to life. What starts off as a friend’s with benefits arrangement turns into so much more. Erin being scared must overcome her fears to have the life she deserves with Devin. Having someone who supports you is a hard thing for her to handle since supporting her was not high on her ex husband’s list.
Breathless with Her did not start the way I expected. The story engaged me and kept me reading until the end. My heart tore for Erin. I cried solid for her. And then for Devin. I was glad that Devin represented the postal carriers and didn’t have a fancy job. I was happy that the Carrs were strong family people like the Montgomerys. This was an awesome read and I can’t wait for more.
Carrie Ann Ryan has created another book that is just amazing. I’ve never read one of her books that I didn’t enjoy or recommend to others, this one included.
This book had a little bit of it all. I loved Erin and Devin. They were great characters from start to finish. I loved their story and I can’t wait to see what else is ahead for this series, because I’m sure it’s going to be just as great. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
This first book in this new series spin off was a great book to listen to. Devin and Erin’s story was well written and one that a reader could relate to. The pair had been jaded by events of their past – Devin with his upbringing and protective/fixer instincts with his family and Erin by her ex-husband and events of her upbringing. Both not sure about relationships have a chance meeting when Erin is at a low in her life and then have another chance meeting a short time later that turns into a relationship that neither character realized was happening until they both had feeling that they were unsure of how to handle. Both characters had amazing chemistry together and despite their relationship views at first were a great couple together. I enjoyed the return of some of the characters from other series that cross over into this one as well as the introduction of new characters. I look forward to seeing where this series will go next and I would recommend this book to others.
In the audio version of this book, the narration by Jacob Morgan and Samantha Cook was performed well by both narrators making it an enjoyable listening experience. The pair did a great job bringing all of the characters to life in this story. I was invested in the story the entire time.
