When the fairy tale life you believed in falls apart, there is nothing else left… Or so I thought, until Trouble, wrapped in one hunky body and a sinful smile promising untold pleasure of the carnal kind, lands on my doorstep. Despite what my body demands or the fact that I’m irresistibly drawn to him, I’d been burned too deeply to dare try again. Besides, Max Meade-Sinclair is my younger … younger sister’s best friend—and totally off-limits.
Ila Logan’s coolly dismissive manner captures and challenges me from the moment our paths cross. What I want, I usually get. A little thing like age isn’t going to stop me. Neither are the men who disappear into her secluded room. However, she proves a difficult opponent who leaves me falling for her a little more at each encounter.
This tempestuous woman is mine, but to win her, I must dig deeper, and show her that beneath my brawling, player facade exists a man who would go to the ends of the earth to make her happy.
But surviving my own dark past may just destroy the fragile bond growing between us…
Breathless is a steamy, full length standalone novel.

Honest, authentic and heartbreaking this book will remind you how family has the ability to help you grow or tear you apart. You see both sides in this delicious story of two people who accidentally find themselves leaning on each other through pain. There’s ups and downs, but they come off as genuine with these two wary and skiddish people. What I really liked is Hunter forgoes typical “broken” stereotypes , and has these two work out their issues almost immediately. They confront the misunderstanding head on and deal with it, sometimes after a brief poking off period. They don’t really run from each other. The chemistry smokes hot and fierce between them, so you never get the feeling the relationship is destroyed. These two are also young…even Ila, who likes to make a big deal that she’s 3 yrs older. It’s a new relationship that burns red hot, with two youngsters who work through their issues while deciding their futures. I also loved all the artistic stuff in the story. It’s written in beautifully ordinary way as if to say, this is young love at its finest, messy and insecure at times with room to grow strong.
Such an unexpected read that gave me the feels and more! I’m familiar with the authors work in the paranormal genre but this is the first I have read in her contemporary romance and it so did not disappoint. I loved the chemistry between Ila and Max. Their character were two halves that made a perfect match with all the emotions they carried. The well written storyline will have you at the edge of your seat as you follow their not so perfect journey to finding a well deserve HEA. I can’t wait for the next book in this fabulous series.
Absolutely loved this book I loved the chemistry between Max and Ila…. it had me hooked and kept me page turning so I could find out what happened. Its tragic but beautiful story of love and steamy sex lol xx love the style of writing by Georgia Lyn Hunter and will definitely be reading.more of her work.
This is the first of Georgia Lyn Hunter’s book that I have read!! This took book my breath away!! Max is a broken man looking to ease his pain and guilt! Ila a hermit because her heart and soul are broken!! When the two meet there’s a spark but Ila pulls back and tries to stay away but Max is persistent! With all the hurt and pain the two have endured will they find their happily ever after or will Max self destruct before they even have a chance? Or will it be Ila to pull away first?
I’m a fan of Ms Hunter’s paranormal books and had no idea she had written a contemporary romance. She is multi-talented. This book has it all. A suffering rich bad boy player, a sweet broken hearted girl, a wacky sister, a set of loving parents, an ice cold father and his conniving girlfriend, a cheating ex boyfriend that won’t let go, a nasty cousin that cheated with said boyfriend, crazy best friends who are players, a forgotten memory, drama and two people healing each other.
