Seth and Macy Warren haven’t been married long, but they have their eyes on the future. Macy is excited to start a family, while Seth debates the pros and cons of giving up their spontaneity for the potential perils of parenthood. But Macy thinks she can convince him… When he gets a chance to relive some of his past glory days by rejoining his former band onstage, though, he jumps at it. … at it. Still, she thinks she can turn the trip to his gig into some baby-making fun. Until she comes face-to-face with a part of Seth’s past that she’d hoped to never deal with again.
Macy knows she shouldn’t have her doubts. But she also knows that when you have everything, you have everything to lose.

“He smelled like oil and the faintest hint of the sweat that sheened his heavily inked skin, and she practically felt her ovaries growl. Oh God, yes, she wanted this man’s baby.”
I’ve read over a thousand books since I first met Ghost & Macy in 2013, but I still remember…sigh.
I’ve continued to follow Cherrie Lynn over the years and I get excited every time she has a new release. So, you can imagine how excited I was to learn that this memorable couple was getting a novella and I would be able to catch up with them. When I started reading it was as if I’d just finished reading Leave Me Breathless. Their explosive chemistry has not dulled in the six months they’ve been married. Their witty banter, role-playing, and habit of having spontaneous sex regardless of their current location are highly entertaining.
The thought of a mini-Ghost or mini-Macy makes me smile. Either would be more than a handful to handle and I hope the author decides to give her readers a taste when that happens. I’m sure they will have a very colorful vocabulary and personality. And trying to imagine Seth & Macy having to control their urges and not christen every surface in their house at will also makes me giggle. But, at the same time, I know they will make perfect parents.
Unfortunately, when a blast from their past shows up, doubts resurface and Macy worries that she’s not enough for her man. Will she and the idea of a family be enough to keep him satisfied? She doesn’t want to hold him back, but can she accept the part of him that still wants to be on stage?
Great sequel to leave me breathless. Love these characters.
What a fun peek into what they are up to. It was good catching up.
Even when Ghost is pushing the envelope with Macy, I don’t think I could ever get tired reading about him or his sassy mouth.
Man, I missed these two.
Six months into their marriage, Macy wants to be a mom and Ghost is contemplating selling his beloved GTO. When he gets a call from Mark to play with the old band for just one night, he knows that Macy isn’t going to like it, even if the idea of getting back on stage for one show excites him.
Macy isn’t happy about Ghost revisiting behaviors she thought he left behind, especially when she has some really bad memories of he disastrous attempt to see Ghost play in the past. Raina, Ghost’s old girlfriend is likely to be there.
There’s lots of stuff going on in Macy’s head right now and Ghost is going to have to help her in the best way he can and does he deliver on that!
Breathless is a really great little story about what happens after the HEA, so to speak. It’s about how relationships change and grow and adjust. That was the real charm for me in this story, oh, and Ghost is one sexy beast! I love how he loves Macy and how he understands her. They are really quite wonderful together, even though Macy can really get on my nerves sometimes.
This is the kind of book that makes you want to go back and re-read the entire series. There are some nice scenes with Brian and Candace as well, and the banter between Brian and Ghost is always entertaining.
I really liked Breathless. It’s a great addition to the series, and can also work as a standalone if you just want something steamy and sweet you can read in an evening.
I really enjoyed this super hot, short, and sweet novella. It was great returning to this series as Ghost and Macy were my favorite couple in the series. They have been married six months now but they newlywed faze has not worn off yet! It was sweet to see a glimpse back into their lives and to get a peak at their future. A great addition to the series that I would highly recommend.
I voluntairly reviewed an early copy of this book.
“Breathless” is a fun, sexy little novella, that picks up Macy and Seth’s story as a newly married couple on the verge of parenthood. But the past opens up old wounds, as Seth (aka Ghost) contemplates rejoining his old band for a one-time gig. Despite the turmoil that both situations pose, Macy and Seth are just as hot for each other as ever before! And the emotionally tender moments remind me just how much I love this uniquely endearing couple. Seriously, reading “Breathless” felt a lot like coming home. What a joy it was to revisit these specials friends.
Seth “Ghost” Warren and his wife Macy have been married for about six months. They are crazy in love and excited to begin their future together. Macy is ready to start a family, and is hoping to get pregnant soon. They are enjoying being newlyweds and their everyday life as a couple. Seth is still a tattoo artist at Dermamania with his best friend Brian Ross. He’s happy with his daily routine, and then a blast from the past calls with an offer he’s not sure he can turn down. His old band In the Slaughter has asked him to come back and do a show in Austin with them. He’d once been their lead guitarist until some drama happened. He’d always loved how it felt to be on stage, and he realized he missed it. This could be his one chance to relive his glory days. Macy figures this gig could be an opportunity for some baby making fun with her gorgeous, bald, inked, pierced, badass husband. She plans to take full advantage of this time together and her hot man!
Breathless is book 8 in the Ross Siblings series. It’s a sexy, short novella featuring Ghost & Macy from Leave Me Breathless. This is my favorite couple in the series so I was thrilled to get more of these characters I adore! Ghost is still just as delicious, and he still likes to get steamy in his GTO. ;)) They are still deeply in love and as passionate as ever. I really enjoyed this story, and returning to this series!
Seth and Macy have been married for six months. They are happy but Macy wants a baby. Macy works in her parents sporting goods store and Seth is a former band member and works in a tattoo shop. When he gets a call to fill in with his old band, he wants too but Macy is afraid that’s what he wants for his life now. Plus she has bad memories of the place they will be playing at and of Seth’s ex showing up. Can Seth convince her she is all he needs?
A novella with a bald, tattooed hunk and his strong wife. Sex, sex, and sex. Really good.
