If your world crashed down around you, who would be the one person you could go to? Who would be the one to fix you? To lift you up when someone else has hurt you? To wipe away your tears when someone has made you cry? Think about that one person while reading this review and imagine, if you thought that person who you looked up to was gone forever. You’ve burned those bridges and thought you’d pushed them away because of your hurt. How could you handle that? Grande has a heartfelt, tragic, yet second chance romance that grows stronger after hitting rock bottom.
Eva has reached a low that she has never thought she could hit. She has pushed her family, her friends, and the love of her life away to live through her pain alone. Her burden is hers to bare and belongs to no one else, but the pain and the suffering is crushing her. Through the depression, her friend Jace is able to finally reach through her barriers to find her some help. Seeing another young man who she barely knows with that same pain in his eyes, a friendship forms. Drew and Eva help each other with one another’s burden and in training and working through the pain, they find a light at the end of the tunnel. After the healing begins and she makes plans to rise against her attacker before it is too late, she fears that she has lost the one thing that means the most to her. She fears that the one person who could complete her doesn’t want her love anymore, but without him, the world still feels suffocating. Can Blake be her savior, forever?
Grande has an inspirational story, filled with love, loss, pain, and hope. Breathe You is the second installment in the Pieces of Broken series. This story is the completion of the first installment and is not recommended to be read as a standalone. The story is well-written and has a steady pace, with little to no errors present. While the content of the actual story is compelling and strong, the romance is a complete work of fiction and and does not seem nearly as credible for the age group represented. Readers who enjoy reading women’s fiction, romance, and psychological fiction may like to pick this series up. Due to content, this story is not recommended for an audience under the age of eighteen.

ITS OVER!!!! IT WAS SO WORTH THE WAIT, OMGOODNESS!! I’m legit sobbing right now. It was so PERFECT!!! Every moment was completely nerve-wracking and I loved it! I was sobbing when I finished LIVE ME back in 2016. And every time I read it, I got the same reaction, doubled. It is so satisfying to see justice made; a victim finally redeemed, a story finally brought to light, and the evil-doer hitting rock-bottom.
I’ve never been so happy in my life. Well, actually I have, but you know what I mean! Thank you, Celeste, so much for this book! You are a wonderful soul and you deserve a million stars, but I’m only able to put 5. So here’s a huge wreath of stars. Thank you for Blake and Eva’s story.
At the end of Live Me we were left wrecked and broken underneath that willow tree, hearts in our throats and stomachs in knots. The hopelessness these characters were feeling radiated through the pages, leaving me anxious to find out what was going to happen with Blake and his Angel. Well let me tell you, Breathe You gave me everything I could have wanted, and so much more! This is a story of love, hope, and salvation.
Breathe You is the breathtaking, heartbreaking, and heart-healing, conclusion to a remarkable love story that I will always cherish. Blake and Eva’s love is all-encompassing, powerful, and limitless. It never wavered, even through all the trials and turmoil it was put through. And there were trials, more than I thought Blake and Eva could survive. There was still so much push and pull between them, as Blake tried to understand everything that happened to Eva and she, still not willing, or really able, to open up to him completely- yet. And there was turmoil, as Eva fought back and owned her demons, instead of continuing to allow them to own her. Her growth from the end of Live Me through to the end of Breathe You was inspiring.
The conclusion to Blake and Eva’s story is so completely rewarding. I know Ms. Grande put her blood, sweat, and tears into giving us the ending these two deserved, and I couldn’t have asked for more. Seeing the vulnerable side of Blake, and the strength of Eva, it just pulled their story full circle.
