One way or another, all men pay for their crimes. Some do their time locked in a cage, while others meet their due karma without a judge or a jury. My debt to society is almost paid, and soon I’ll be free to get my son the justice he deserves. Justice he wouldn’t be due if only I had done my job as his father and protected him. There’s just one hitch, and her name is Charlotte. The gorgeous and … Charlotte.
The gorgeous and completely inexperienced paralegal’s mission seems to be making me a law-abiding citizen and not a vengeful son of a bitch. But underneath her prim and proper facade, there is a woman begging to be unleashed. If I wasn’t so hellbent on breaking the chains of pain bound to my boy, I’d be tempted to unravel Charlotte and show her what it’s like to ditch the law and walk on the wild side. And there’s no time for me to succumb to her efforts to make me a decent man. I’ve agreed to prospect for the Satan’s Knights MC, and my pretty little paralegal is about to learn there ain’t nothing noble about a man who sells his soul to the Devil in the name of revenge.
Editorial note: Breaking The Chains is the second book in the Satan’s Knights Prospect Trilogy. Fan’s of Janine’s Blackout Duet will immediately recognize Bishop, but all readers can enjoy this novel as a steamy, suspenseful standalone.

I feel like I was blowing in the wind of the unexpected! Debra @ Janise’s Jivin’ Book Blog
Ooo we what a trip this read was. You going into it with just what you read in the blurb but the book is just so much more. You are pulled in all directions of thinking about right and wrong. Justification for actions in world of black and white there is a lot of gray.
I love Charlotte so much, she is not perfect and doesn’t understand everything even about her own past. She has a heart of gold and lots of spunk.
Bishop is messed up but admits it and is trying to make it better.
Connor is just a doll who deserves all the good things that possibly come his way.
The BACA is just a phenomenal group and I love what they do and stand for.
Satan’s Knights is also an MC that is trying to go with the times.
All around a heartwarming and heartwrenching read!
Breaking The Chains is book two in the Satan’s Knights Prospect Trilogy, and it is Bishop’s story.
Up until now, Bishop hasn’t been a good man, and he has been an even worse father. His plan is to get out of prison and rid the earth of the scum that hurt his son. Then he meets Charlotte, and all bets are off. To say the pretty little paralegal rocks his world would be a huge understatement. Due to her own painful childhood, she is determined to reunite this father and son. Is Bishop capable of giving up on the vengeance he has been planning for so long? Can he be the kind of father that Connor so deserves? I guess only time will tell.
Gah, I loved this story! It is one that will bring out all the “feels” for sure. I swear, I just wanted to climb into the book and give Connor a hug. I will warn you-this story deals with some pretty heavy stuff. It is raw, and it is rough, and that’s what I loved about it! It is also why I enjoy this author’s books so much. She doesn’t try to impress the reader by blowing glitter out of her ass. Her talent shines through her words. She is as genuine and as real as it gets! If you haven’t yet read anything by her, you are missing out. One click them all ASAP! I promise you will be glad you did!
EXCEPTIONAL READ!!!
I love Janine’s work. If you’ve ever read any of her books, you know she puts her heart and soul into her words. She tells a story you can’t help but feel. Breaking The Chains is such a phenomenal read. You get pulled in from the very beginning. Janine’s words will tug at your heart strings as Bishop seeks justice for his little boy. But will he find it? Can he be the father Connor deserves? With the help of a beautiful paralegal, who tries to keep him on the straight and narrow, he just might. This is one moving story you don’t want to miss.
Janine Infante Bosco has written an MC story that will grab onto your heartstrings and keep you hanging onto every word throughout this emotional story.
Breaking the Chains is all about Bishop’s emotional journey from prison to finally having his son in his life again and finding that one special woman who takes his breath away.
He has made many mistakes in his past but the last one was because he loved his son and this one landed him behind bars and his son taken away.
Charlotte carries her own baggage from her past. She has a new job and her first day she is thrown into a situation that hits a bit too close to home and her past.
This story may have its share of ugly but the beauty that comes from tragedy makes all the bad worth the trip for both Bishop, Charlotte and especially Connor who now has not only his dad who loves him but he has Charlotte and the whole Satan Knight family to watch over him.
I swear, no one writes MC Romance quite like JIB. Each of her stories are unique to its characters and yet they all have a similar underlying theme – chaos, pain, and more love than these people know how to handle. I’ve been looking forward to Bishop’s story ever since I caught a glimpse of him in the Leather & Lace Duet. He had let his son down in every way possible, but when he realized his son was in pain, he stepped up as a man, as a father, hoping to one day make his son feel safe, happy and loved. It didn’t hurt that Bosco gave us plenty of glimpses of the characters we’ve grown to know and love! #PropertyOfParrish
There is something so endearing about characters who are wounded, with deep character flaws and subtle (or not so subtle) imperfections, and JIB always delivers the best of the best when it comes to broken (anti)heroes. Bishop knew he made mistakes, HUGE ones, and he suffered for them, but he wasn’t the only one feeling the pain. His son had been through the worst crime against children and he wanted to heal him, make it all better. To do that, he had to be a better man, learn from his missteps, and stand by his son. Did he continue to mess up? Of course, but he’s human and it’s to be expected. I love that the author didn’t make everything easy for him. You don’t just walk into your child’s life after years and suddenly everything’s okay. You have to work for it and thankfully, Bishop was up to the task. His love for Connor and Charlotte made him a better person and JIB illustrated that in such beautiful ways.
This book is different from every other book in The Satan’s Knights series! Janine Infante Bosco has taken this club and just thrown it and he readers through a loop! I for one cannot wait to come out on the other side and see what we get. Bishop and Charlotte were destined from the first moment their paths crossed. To see their story play out, through every up and down, while making sure his boy was number one was just downright perfect! I gotta day, I am seriously looking forward to a story for “Davey” Schwartz. When all is said and done your heart will race, your face may blush, some tears will fall and in the end, your jaw WILL drop. Just a day in the life with the Knights.
Omg, once again another amazing story. I cried as soon as I started the prologue. Totally fell in love with Connor & he pulled at my heartstrings. Loved the chemistry between Bishop & Charlotte. I got pulled in from word one. Omg I totally did not see certain events happening that I’m still in shock.
For the love of our children
This author really does a fantastic job when it comes to emotional trauma. She doesn’t give her characters instant fixes, but shows the long road back to righteousness. Bishop was on this road and sometimes he would back slide, but in the end his love for his family brought him to that HEA. I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for her MC men next.
When it comes to the MC world no one depicts it in a more realistic way than Janine Infante Bosco. The moment the Satan’s Knights were introduced to readers was the moment I was hooked and it’s been an exhilarating and emotionally engaging ride ever since. With this new trilogy a new group of men are making a place for themselves within the club as the club itself starts to forge a new path that I look forward to seeing more of.
Gabriel Bishop is not a good man, and he knows it, as he constantly beats himself up over his past. The only good thing he’s done is to father a sweet-natured young boy named Connor, a young boy who needs him now more than ever after it’s discovered that his uncle has been sexually abusing him. While his son was growing up Bishop was only interested in drugs and whatever deeds helped him get those drugs, but with the death of his ex he’s finally stepped up to become a real father. It’s a difficult journey though as his past hangs over his future and as his current incarceration makes it hard to prove he’s worthy of getting custody of his son. Helping him in his journey is the Satan’s Knights as they provide a feeling of safety to his son and give Bishop the means to live a clean life. With lawyer extraordinaire David Schwartz also on his side things start to look up, but it’s his paralegal Charlotte that really changes Bishop’s life. He’s immediately attracted to her and though he doesn’t think he’s worthy of her he’ll do all he can to claim her as the more they interact the more he can’t picture a life without her. Bishop’s a compelling hero, one who’s far from perfect, but who’s trying to be what others need him to be. He’s a man weighted down by guilt, a man who showed his emotions and made me cry right along with him. There’s a sensual side to him too, one that has him constantly trying to make Charlotte blush through dirty talk and subtle touches. It’s a slow burn between the two of them, a super slow journey that doesn’t combust until near the end, but it was definitely worth the wait as my tablet nearly singed my fingertips from their erotically-charged interlude. It was a journey that kept me on edge hoping Bishop would stay on the right path as I rooted for him to get his HEA.
Charlotte’s past weighs on her as well and it led to lots of tears throughout this story as she carries lots of guilt over her feelings regarding her father, feelings that came from a child’s viewpoint. Her own father was incarcerated, and died while in prison, which fuels her desire to help others in the same situation. Add in the death of her sister due to a heart condition and you start to understand why Charlotte feels so guilty over the past. Throughout the story Charlotte’s an immensely appealing heroine with a kind heart and I can easily see us as friends. When readers first meet her she’s a bit insecure, desperate to do right by Bishop. She’s a bit naive too, thrown off by Bishop’s overt flirtations, but the more they interact the more self-assured she becomes. She becomes more invested in his life, putting her heart on the line when providing a new home for Connor. Though she knows she shouldn’t fall for Bishop she can’t stop what her heart wants and it’s a journey that pulled at my heartstrings as she and Bishop fought for their HEA.
This book’s a bit different from previous Satan’s Knights stories as readers are taken on a back and forth journey with scenes that take place in the past as well as the present. The transitions between these scenes are a bit rough and made for less than smooth storytelling. When it came to the romance between these two so much of their time was spent apart. It was frustrating at times to see their romance move at such a glacial pace, but at least the wait was worthwhile in a super sizzling encounter. Before that readers got phone calls teeming with sexual tension along with small touches that made me want to scream in frustration. Along with this likable main couple readers got to meet Connor, a sweet young boy who just wants to feel safe and be with his dad. I ached for all he’d been through and cheered for all those who came to support him. I liked learning about BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse) and their role was seamlessly incorporated into the story and I hope to learn more about them in future books. I also hope to learn more about Schwartz, the high class and cutthroat lawyer of the Satan’s Knights. He’s always seemed mysterious and standoffish, but here we got to see a more heartfelt side to him. His attraction to Charlotte’s cousin Gabriela was also touched on and I look forward to seeing where things go for these two very different characters as they’re already butting heads. By the turn of the final page I was once again worn out by all the intense emotions but heart warmed that more people became “Property of Parrish” as it’s a family that’s always there for you.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This is the story of Bishop, who lost his son due to his addiction and the way he loves to rob people. He was Blackie’s cellmate and has gotten him the best lawyer in the country to help him reunite with his son Connor. This book is told from the past and present and From Bishop and Charlotte’s point of view. It doesn’t take long for Charlotte to rock Bishops world and you get to experience them falling in love. Now for the four star reason. Jack Parrish. Oh how my heart aches because I have always always loved this character. I love that he is in the book and I usually love the way he is portrayed. Not in this one. Something just got under my skin and really bothered me about him in this book. Overall it is a great read.
Wow. I really don’t think Janine could write a better book than this one. This one is off the charts amazing from beginning to end. I absolutely love Bishop. There is just something about his character that you absolutely fall in love with. Whether it be the way he acts and loves his son or the love he has toward Charlotte., which is off the charts.
I have been looking forward to Bishop’s story. Counting down the days until I could read it and Janine does not disappoint one bit. Bishop is a man fighting for not only his freedom but for his son’s freedom from the monster he lives with. Charlotte has her own past that she is dealing with and because of this when she starts to work Bishop’s case she is even more determined to bring Bishop and his son back together. She literally goes to lengths you would not think the average person like this would go too. Charlotte really doesn’t know Bishop besides what she is learning from her visits to the jail and through other people. But she is willing to do what is needed to build a family back together.
This was an emotional book at times. I did not put it down once I started. I had to know what was going to happen with these three. Connor is such a precious little boy that you cant help but want to reach into the book and hug. But at the same time this storyline does deal with some very heavy stuff. It is raw and rough, which is exactly what you get from Janine if you want a good book. This is a book you need to one click. If you haven’t read any from Janine before this is the one to grab. Highly recommend.
Bishop is filled with moments that rip at your heart and tug on your soul. A guy that never cared about the future has suddenly seen the light and wants what he’s never had. Too bad for him, just because you’ve seen the error of your ways, doesn’t mean you get a clean slate.
Charlotte carries plenty of her own baggage from the past, when she starts a new job and is assigned to a case that hits a little too close to home, it brings all of those feelings back to the surface.
This story is about retribution, a father’s love, a child’s innocence and that bone deep connection that even though there are bumps in the road, if you want it bad enough, you can weather the storm and come out on the other side together, as a family. After all, they all are Property of Parrish.
This is the 2nd book in this phenomenal trilogy and is Bishop and Charlotte’s story. Bishop is on a mission to get justice for his little son, and Charlotte is a paralegal who just wants to keep him on the straight and narrow. This is a beautifully written story which is an emotional roller coaster journey from beginning to end. This story is filled with suspense, heartbreak, and is a heart-warming and steamy read. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I recommend for all.
This second book in the Satan’s Knights Prospect Trilogy at times broke me and the tears cascaded down my face like a waterfall. Bishop was a man fighting from the inside, trying to keep his son safe and an encounter with the reaper would be what would set this man on a path to keeping that promise to his son. A story of connections, passion and the lengths that we will go to all for the love and safety of a child. As Charlotte stands tall to fight the fight with Bishop, her past demons will at times cloud her judgement, make her question her motives but nothing will change her mind for the love that she feels. Bishop’s story is heart wrenching, powerful and will have you mesmerized by every word. As you lose yourself in a story that will steal your heart, grip your soul and break the chains surrounding your emotions you will discover that not only are you #propertyofparrish but #propertyofsatansknights. Their story will show us that it isn’t only the kutte you wear on your back that is important but the ones that hold your heart and love you with or without it.
What a wonderful emotional MC Storyline. The author did an amazing job of giving us a heartfelt, hard hitting and heartbreaking story with characters you won’t soon forget. I tip my hat to the author for a job very well done. The storyline will rip your heart to sheds and build you up just to rip it apart a time or two more. But the author has a unique way words that will keep you glued to the pages and hoping for any type of happy ending.
Bishop is not a good man. He is now in jail paying for his past. The only bright spot in his life is his small son, Connor, and a disheveled paralegal named Charlotte. But when his boy is mistreated Bishops main purpose in life is to get released, get his son back and get justice for his son. Connor and Charlotte give him a reason to turn his life around. But is that even possible for a man like Bishop with his record and past sins? What happens when his former cellmate gets the Satan’s Knights MC involved with his legal defense as well as his custody battle. Will promise made be broken? Will debts owed come at too high a price?
This is a fantastic, action packed MC story that you don’t want to miss. Highly Recommend – 2 Thumbs Up and 5 Stars
Breaking Ths Chains
I felt like someone has reached into my chest and pull out my heart for the pain these people were going through especially Connor. I cried a lot, I was angry on his behalf, having Charlotte in their corner helps a lot, the way Bishop and Charlotte fall for each other slowly is also great, having over patience qill go a long way for their family
This story tore me up.
Bishop not ready to be a dad and living his life doing the wrong things instead of living a good life for his son.
It broke my heart to hear the emotion in Bishops voice when he talked about his son.
Connor crying about missing his dad.
It is hard when parents are separated from this children.
Charlotte is the strongest in this book by far. If it was not for her, well lets just say a lot of things would have turned out differently for everyone involved.
Loved this book and looking forward to the next book in this series.
Wow this story blew my mind from page one. I love Bishop!!! This story has 2 POV and it was told so well that you can follow along and not get lost especially as it goes from present to past. I thought it made the story come alive written that way. Bishop is one of my top fav guys and I hope to see more of him he stole my heart just like Conner and Charlotte did. I love how it all played out. I did have a few moments in the story that the tears just kept coming out and I was hoping for the happy ending. It was one of those good feeling stories that you can read over and over again. I really liked how Bishop is alpha all the way but has a soft side that captures you from the start. His bad boy ways grabbed Charlotte and man was that the best ever. Janine really out did her self with a story that didn’t have a super bad and action packed moment. I really like all the happy feels this story gives off. MUST READ
Breaking the Chains is the second installment of the Satan’s Knight’s Prospect series. Here we meet Bishop, who is for all intents and purposes a self-centered criminal. Bishop did what he wanted when he wanted no apologies. But, life sometimes deals you a blow, forcing you to reevaluate everything you thought was important. This is where Bishop finds himself when our man Parrish steps in to assist him in gaining legal custody of his son after he finds out his brother-in-law was abusing him. Charlotte, is young, impressionable and the paralegal assigned to assist with his case. Theirs is certainly not a traditional love story, but it bears telling all the same.
Once again, Janine pulls me into her world and doesn’t let go. Kudos!
BIshop’s story was one I was eagerly awaiting. The books in the this series keep getting better and better. I’m excited for what’s next.
