Dr. and Mrs. Mason Davis appear to have the perfect life, but looks can be deceiving. Liberty isn’t perfect, far from it, yet everyday she strives to be the ideal wife. It was love at first sight for Mason, despite all the challenges living with someone with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder might face. And from the moment Liberty gave him her heart, he knew he was meant to keep her safe. Mason … accepts that Liberty is flawed, even when she does not. He endeavors to keep life as orchestrated as possible for his wife, but when his ex-lover, Sean, shows up unannounced, Mason loses a bit of his ever present control and cracks begin to show in his perfect life.
Liberty’s just right, carefully ordered world begins to unravel when she falls for the man who is in love with her husband. When what she wants is the antithesis of perfect, she struggles with her desires, and fears she may break. But breaking may be the only thing that can set Liberty free.
A beautifully told, psychological tale that redefines the meaning of perfect and breaks all the rules of love.

Breaking Perfect is a beautiful love story with incredible characters, and real life issues.
From the first page your hooked by the dynamic between Mason and Liberty then Sean enters the picture and passion explodes!
A truly captivating and heartfelt romance with plenty of sizzle!
‘Three separate people, neither one perfect, each a little broken, melded so tightly together they had eventually become one.’
Dr. Mason Davis is a successful surgeon with his beautiful loving wife Liberty. They seemingly have a perfect marriage however, not everything on the surface is always as it seems. Liberty suffers from OCD and requires to have things orderly, scheduled and perfect so when a secret part of Mason’s past comes knocking on their door it threatens to bring their carefully constructed life crumbling down. Sean was Mason’s partner 13 years ago and after the death of his father there was nothing, he wanted to do more than to see Mason again. Unsure of what he would find when he got there, he knew that he had to at least try.
First off, I loved Mason and his undying love and devotion to Liberty was swoon worthy. He was constantly doing little things to make sure that Liberty didn’t have an episode with her OCD and supporting her and the carefully structured schedule they have. Liberty’s character has so much depth that I was in awe of her strength regardless of her struggles and she absolutely adores Mason. They really are such a sweet couple and I instantly loved them right off the bat. I was very nervous knowing that this was a ménage because I didn’t want to see anything hurt their relationship.
When Sean first shows up Liberty is at a loss for what to do, this is not something planned and that alone makes things very stressful on her. Mason has put Sean and that part of his life behind him and never told Liberty about it, now with Sean being in their home the stress of his past coming out grows every day. The more time Sean spends with Liberty the more he begins to care about her and not just as his old friends’ wife. As attractions grow all around boundaries start to be tested and passion ignites and holy moly when it does it is so HOT HOT HOT!
I’ve read a few MMF books in the past and I’ve enjoyed them especially when there is strong story associated with them and not just sex. This book certainly has a deep story with amazing characters that make you care so much about them that you are turning the pages as fast as you can to see what happens. I read this book on a recommendation and it’s my first book by Lydia Michaels and I can certainly say I’m now a fan! I was lucky enough to meet her recently so I was able to add a few more books to my bookshelf.
‘To him, her submission was a gift, but to her, him taking control of the things she couldn’t, was an even bigger gift.’
“A home should be filled with love. Otherwise it’s just an emotional prison keeping you apart from the world.”
This was my first trip into a Lydia Michaels world and if this is a representation of what her world has to offer, then sign me up and ::grabby hands:: give me all the words, toute suite! I absolutely adore a great MMF and I absolutely adore broken characters who are SO very broken that it seems impossible that they can be healed. Liberty’s story, her severe OCD, seems like there would be no working through it but Mason loves her enough to try to do everything in his power to give her the tools to live as normal a life as possible. But Mason has a secret and he doesn’t know if his broken little bird will be able to handle it, until it is thrust in her face. Mason’s secret may be what tears them apart, or what pulls them together. This story is OFF the charts Steamy, a definite one handed read. But above all that, Lydia’s words are poetry and just beautiful.
Wow! This book has it all in one very very hot package. The love that Lydia Michaels has written into these pages is phenomenal! One can feel the pain, torment, acceptance, peace and Love!
What can I say about this book other than I love, love, love Breaking Perfect! Breaking Perfect is a standalone romance. Although, I would absolutely love to read more about this threesome!
Dr. Mason Davis was just getting by and hopefully live another day without his wife Liberty Belle Davis having a breakdown with her OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder).
He loves her and only wants the best for her.
When Sean O’Malley shows up on their doorstep. Liberty takes him in because he has nowhere else to go. Sean and Mason lived together at the frat house while in college 13 years ago.
This threesome is groan worthy! There were some pretty Hawt and Heavy scenes between the 3 of them.
This book may not be for everyone so please do read the warning that Lydia Michaels wrote. There is light BDSM at play along with a ménage story line.
I give 5 stars because I absolutely loved the story.
This is an amazing MMF romance that takes your emotions everywhere. You feel the raw heat between everyone, the loved that is shared, and that sinking feeling when it seems to fall apart. I love how well the psychological aspects of each character’s issues are explained. This is a perfect love triangle story (and it was smoking hot too).
