Mason only took the job as a volunteer at the medical tent as a way to get his foot in the door for his dream job. He has no interest in racing at all. When Liam comes in to have his hand looked at, sparks fly, but there is no way that Liam would be interested in Mason. With that thought in mind, Mason moves on, but never forgets Liam. When fate steps in and has the two cross paths a few more times, but their encounters are a bit less than friendly due to Mason’s boyfriend, Rowen. When Mason realizes just what kind of man Rowen is and drops him, will it be too late for Liam to forgive him? Do the two even have a chance at happy ever after?
I am so sad that this was the last of the series. Liam and Mason’s story was a good one; with drama, nice naughty bits, and a bit of danger this story keeps you entertained. I really enjoyed this series as a whole and their story was the perfect ending. I give this 4 stars.
Breaking Ground is book eight and the final book (wipes eyes) in the Rocking Racers series. For those of us who have read the whole series, this was the book we were all waiting on Mason/Liam’s story. While each book can be read as a standalone, I feel that while you could read this book without reading the series, it does give spoilers to the other characters so if you are fine with this read on; if not read the other books first so the secondary characters stories are not spoiled for you. This story runs concurrent with the series and gives us a look back at how these two came to be.
It is always so eye opening to see the struggles that couples endure and that in society today it still must be such a taboo topic. Your personal life (99.9% of the time) should not affect your profession. I love that we got to see a closer look into their relationship and how much they both grew throughout the years not only in their relationship, but in their professions as well. This close-knit families curse was definitely broken with this generation.
I loved the ending of this book and I will miss this family, but these racers sure did Break the Ground in so many ways. They are risk takers (all the Ryan’s) and this was one of the greatest risks, but I love how it was portrayed and handled. I’m still holding out hope that we will see a novella on Pop and Pa (like a Prequel) or that a spin-off on the next generation will occur in the future. This is one series that I highly recommend if you enjoy sports and close-knit, crazy families like I do.
I’m so happy to finally read how Liam and Mason’s story. I have loved these two from the start. What am I saying I have loved every single one of these characters I’m just so happy we got to hear their story. And the way it continues on. I don’t want to see this series end at all!!! It’s so bittersweet because you just can’t wait to get to the next book but then you know eventually you will run out of characters. But Megan their are the children….hint hint. I honestly had no idea that Mason and Liam’s story was so dynamic and they had been through so much. They were the epitome of the perfect couple and this is the perfect month for this book to come out with the love is love!!! I highly recommend this Entire Series!!!!! It is one of the best I’ve ever read!!!
