It was just a hoverboard. Nobody was supposed to die.Dale Adams has worked hard to leave his troubled past behind for a brighter future at Emory University. But when he makes a discovery that will change humanity forever, avoiding the spotlight becomes the least of his concerns. Small experiments have attracted big attention. And not all who notice want Dale to be successful. Or even alive. As … be successful. Or even alive.
As Dale’s world collapses around him, his fate intertwines with that of a girl he hardly knows. Their only hope for survival is to disappear into Atlanta’s seedy underbelly, the very place Dale has tried so hard to leave behind. Time is running out, but if they can survive long enough science will be rewritten by the most unlikely of authors.

★★★★★ BRILLIANT! Grab it now before everyone else it talking about it!
This is a ride and a half. Perfectly paced. Written so well that you lose yourself in the story. Couldn’t fault it. I HIGHLY recommend this book. This is not just a good book, but a brilliantly executed concept. A new author to watch.

★★★★★ My first Great read of 2019!
This is the first review I have ever written for any book. I go through SF at a 2 or 3 book clip per week, but this was a nonstop ride from start to finish (7 hours). Would love to get a follow-up with the “Gravity” concept in space. Well done Mr. Walters!

★★★★★ I may have found a new favorite author!
i am an unusual reader, I have no patience abut I don’t usually read a book at once…I DID this one. I couldn’t put it down.

★★★★★ Great story, smooth writing
Wow what a ride from orbiting coke cans to Hong Kong financing. What a great read. Solid writing with characters that make things happen.

Great read, well written; loved the humor; superb entertainment; fascinated by the mind that produced this; left me wanting more (a good thing)! It’s always fun to discover new authors and I’m definitely looking forward to his next book.

★★★★★ OK, where’s the 10 star button?
This is “Martian” quality writing. Mr. Walters’ writing skills let you slide into the narrative on page one while he spins a great tale that draws you in. Be sure not to read it until you can finish it; you really can’t put it down. — great fun!

Fun characters and great story in need of a better editor.
Loved it!
I enjoyed the Book
Who knows what kind of future world is expecting us. Sometimes even old fairytales had predictions of the technological breakthrough as airplanes, steaming machines or Skype (the Talking Mirror in Snow White and the Seven dwarfs)…
Bravo to the author imagination!
Maybe this book will open some scientific minds and the mankind will get a new source of energy!
Quick paced. Just enough humor. Hard to believe the premise but as the book went on, I found myself (a physicist) almost buying in to it.
Pretty good. Very unique ending.
Well put together. Enough reality to make believable. Reflection of our modern situation
Just the right amount of dumb in the hero.
First off, not SF. The entire reason for the drama (the discovery that leads to the hoverboard) was contrived. The events surrounding the discovery were just ok. Either entirely predictable or completely unrealistic.
A good read, but also an interesting look at the way technology can be kept from the masses…not an unrealistic problem in our current world.
The book was good enough to keep me reading but I did find the scene changes a little disconcerting. I think the main character was a little too naive about what he had and could have been a little more active with his discovery. I will probably read the next in the series.
A fun to read book.
A believable premise might have helped.
The characters were likeable and interesting and the science was fascinating. It’s hard to write anything new and original about the little guy versus “Them” but the author did a pretty good job. Worth the read.
Liked very much. Little to much technical explanations and theories. But overall great fun.
This book was an awesome ride. Similar to Ready Player One, but with college aged characters. Great story, action driven excitement!!
I love this book.
The book is 100% on the money as to what would happen if someone (the crackpot in the basement theory) actually came up with an economy changing invention.
Ok, looking around for some new authors and happen to find this. Wow! Could not put it down, well written and kept me interested all the way through. When can we expect book 2??
I know the story sounds fantastic but those kind of things have occurred in the past and will happen again in the future. Look for them. Ben
Suggest every serious science fiction fan read this book. The first 2 chapters will cause a major WOW reaction. The lead character who is more than he seems, “accidentally” creates unlimited energy leading to the usual us vs. them good/bad guys scenario Be prepared for some explitive-deleted language, along with the usual gratuitous killings and attempts at same (action-packed) ! Gotta love the author’s name – “Mitty Walter” Just got is next book – Breaking Destiny – hoping for the best!*Grin*
