Horses, mansions, tea parties, and lies are twenty-year-old Hannah Taylor’s life. To others, her family and her relationship with Eric is perfect. But she knows the truth. She lives it.
After a fire takes her grandma’s life and kills her horse, Hannah’s immaculate life spirals out of control. Her father disapproves of her decision to run her grandma’s ranch instead of focusing solely on … on learning the family business; Animal Control brings her Argus, a mistreated horse that she can’t turn away even though she’s not ready for another horse; and her boyfriend, Eric Bennett, a world famous polo player, becomes possessive and authoritarian. Despite her best efforts to disguise it, Hannah grows wary of him.
Then, Leonardo Fernandes struts onto the polo scene. A cocky rookie with a messy life of his own, he’s drawn to Hannah and isn’t afraid of showing it, even when Eric makes it clear she is his and he’ll do whatever it takes to keep it that way. Hannah suffers for Eric’s jealousy. The abuse only gets worse when Leo steals the title of best polo player in the world from Eric.
But the title isn’t enough for Leo. He wants Hannah too, and she can’t deny her attraction to him either. Somehow, she must find a way to break free from abusive Eric before he breaks every bone in her body.

I really wanted to love this book because the premie sounds so amazing. But the author has obviously no knowledge of horses at all. I really do wish that authors did their research before they begin to write, some of the equine mistakes were really basic – like how you just don’t replace a horses shoes, you have to call a farrier to do that, and …
Let’s see where do I begin….
Hannah Taylor is a full time college student and is dating the number one polo player in the world Eric Bennet for the past two years. She recently inherited her grandmothers horse ranch when she died in a suspicious fire at the ranch that killed her and Hannah’s prized horse.
Hannah’s grandmother was a horse healer …
Fast enjoyable read. Would read more from this author.
Not real attention getting. Sorry not not the best I’ve read.
I had a hard time putting it down.
The murder of loved ones sort of took away from the romance
Really did not like this book. It was very ugly in parts, and poorly managed. The characters were not true to themselves, and were unbelievable, partially because of poor development. I did not enjoy this book. And from someone who rarely (like only once before) removes an e book, I did not hesitate one second! Not my cup of tea.
Loved the story and how the main character finally broke free of family and boyfriend issues to become her own person. All this while falling in love.
Excellent read! Couldn’t put the book down.
Hannah was ok. She was a little too focused on making everyone but herself happy. I did like Leo and how he owned up to his past mistakes. I didn’t like Eric from the start. I did like Argus the horse he ended up one of my favorite characters.
I like this book because it sheds light on domestic violence and the mindset that a domestic violence survivor goes through.I like how the main character grows and finally justice is served! Great Read!!!
