It simply blew me away… For any lover of nail-biting suspense, it’s a book you’ll not be able to put down.
I enjoyed the first book in Alex Kava’s spin-off series featuring Ryder Creed, especially learning more on the subject of what it’s like working with K9 rescue dogs. Action-packed and informative – a fun read!
I’ve been a fan of Alex Kava for years, so I’m not sure why it took so long for me to pick up this first book in a new dog-centric series. As a certified animal behavior consultant (dogs/cats) I’m VERY critical when it comes to fiction with animal characters since so many try and do it badly. Alex makes unconventional choices in her canine characters but they work extraordinarily well. You’ll fall in love with both the human and furry strays in this story. I can’t wait to read more!
Terrifyingly excellent! Suspense coupled with amazing dogs trained according to their personalities. Loved the book, and the human hearts shining through. Thanks!
This is a well-written thriller with lots of action and tension in 304 pages. Shorter is nearly always better – especially in thrillers.
Kava only made one slip-up: She gave Creed an ‘automatic’ revolver. It may sound neat, but those weapons are rare and mostly antiquated. A Marine like Creed wouldn’t use something like that. He’d want a handgun he was familiar with using – like the semi-automatic sidearm he carried as a Marine. Please, Ms. Kava, do your research.
That one mistake wasn’t enough to turn me off to Alex Kava and Ryder Creed. I’ll be back for more.
I love the Creed series. Good people; good dogs; good action and well written.
This is a great series.
This is another author I have enjoyed, and this is one of her best. The bond between man and dog is exceptional and they face trials and tribulations, but persevere to resolve the complexities with a stronger bond.
I really liked this book. The story of a man and his dog taken to the next level with how these two work together.
This was a gut wrenching story of canine and human tragedy’s.Dogs are very smart and when loved and trained will come to your rescue.Loved the book.
Love the Creed series and this one was excellent. Hard to put down!
Loved her creed books
I liked everything about this book
A real page turner.
Great book waiting till payday to get the next one and start it.
A very good read. Loved Creed and learning about the training of his dog. Lots of action. Would love to read his next book but will wait til the price comes down a bit. I woke up in the middle of the night to read and was sad when I finished it.
Good read
Once I got into it, I could not put it down. Loved the way the author tied up all of the loose ends and I definitely want to read more by this author.
I love dogs and it’s fun to read a book that has dogs at the forefront.
I really like Donovan Creed. It would be nice for him to live “happily ever after” but probably won’t happen due to his career.
