Wow, talk about dark! You need to be ready for this – but I promise, it’ll be worth it!
This is Beth’s story about how the monster called Anthony decided he was going to take her, use her, torture her and eventually break her. I’ve recently found this arthur and started reading her book’s and just fell in love with them. From start to finish my mind couldn’t wrap around the cruelty people will do to another person. In her book’s about Thalia you first meet Anthony and he’s as sadistic in those book’s as he is in Beth’s story. I believe death is to good for him this guy needs to be tortured on a daily basis, so he can get just an inkling of what he does to Beth. I absolutely loved this story.

Wow ok I need to get my thoughts in order here. Beth wow I will give her credit for what she endure with Anthony man it definitely was I still don’t have words to describe it. It was just wow so intense so over the top of darkness just wow.
When we tell you, and when the author tells you, this is a dark tale with no happy ending, HEED THOSE WARNINGS!! We first learned about Beth and Anthony in the Thalia series. But just a tiny glimpse. Here we get all the gory, horrifying details. Now, I had to mentally prepare myself for how dark this book was going to be, and it didn’t help! You never really know how dark it can get until you see the battle between Beth and Anthony. The author did an amazing job of bringing Beth to life for us, only to break her. And I also understand Marcus a little better now (from Thalia series). This is a must read for those who can live in the dark.
Lovers of the dark, grab your flashlights. If you read Jennifer Bene’s Thalia series, then you’ll know who Beth is but even knowing what kind of a character Anthony is doesn’t prepare you for what awaits in “Breaking Beth”. But once again, you won’t be able to stop reading.
This is a dark brutal yet tantalizing story that is full of pain and torture and no romance. A great beginning to another series!!
Get ready to feel all the darkness. This book just grabs you by the throat from the first page and doesn’t ever turn you loose. This book will haunt you. Deeply depraved villain and unimaginably strong heroine. Trigger warnings for everything- rape, torture, kidnapping, human trafficking. There’s probably more but you get the picture right? Beware- be very ware.
Scary, sick, demented and twisted. Marcus and Anthony make your skin crawl and believe in the devil hiding in the dark. This story sticks with you and Jennifer Bene writes so visually you almost feel as if you are looking thru a two- way mirror as the horror unfolds. Beautiful Beth has to go away to be able to survive the tragedy her life has become. This story sends shivers thru your spine and makes you hope nothing like this happens to you.

If you can handle *dark* content, without romance or an hea this is a great novella. Take the warnings seriously though.

If you’re planning to read this book I recommend to read first the Thalia series, your hatred for Anthony will be 100x more.
Anthony, I despise him so much, he is not man, he is putrid of humankind, your worst nightmare, a psychopath on steroids and I got chilled just thinking how horrid he is.
Beth is a strong woman, she fights for her soul till the end of her sanity, she is my superwoman, and I love with her.
Jennifer Bene writes dark romance always with strong female characters, and every book and is a pleasant experience of reading.
Can’t wait for the next book.

This is a wow book. This was very hard to put down as it keep me on a strong hold from the first page. This book is a very dark twisted book that will have you in suspense throughout this book.
Breaking Beth is an extremely dark read that does contain triggers. It’s contains sexual violence and abuse.
This is NOT a dark romance, it’s not a love story and if you can’t handle abuse DO NOT Proceed.
This book will break your heart, it will shatter your soul and make you speechless.
Anthony’s torment towards Beth had me so angry, but yet I couldn’t stop reading. I needed to know why.. How can a person be so cruel..
I cant wait for the second installment to see if Beth gets her HEA. ohh how I’m rooting for her, but I’m just not sure it’s going to happen.. like I’ve said before Anthony is one hell of a sadistic Alpha..
This is a very dark book. The torture that Anthony does to Beth is beyond any human can stand. The last scene when she does break my heart broke because I thought she would hold out. Jennifer did an excellent job in writing this book. I do hope she co tiniest with Beth and where she goes and gives her an HEA. We will have to wait and see. Enjoy this way dark book.
Speechless and not sure where I can even begin with this review. This book was incredibly dark and twisted and left me urgently turning pages. Truly so little I can mention about the story as I don’t want to ruin the story for anyone other than knowing this story is dark and lacking any semblance of a happy ending. This author did a magnificent job with the pace of the story and providing the reader the pieces needed to understand the story in just the right increments.
If you love a dark read you will not be disappointed.
I really liked this short read. It was dark and I hope read more about Beth eventually!
Having read and loved the Thalia series, I knew that there was a story about Beth. Well, this is her story. We know the end of Beth’s story, but we don’t know how she got to the end. Beth is tough and I’ve got to give her massive props for that. She goes through hell and still fights. That stubbornness and that fire in her are probably going to be what gets her through everything.
Anthony is a massive jerkhole.
Again Ms Bene paints an utterly chilling picture of the process of taking everything from a human being until nothing but an empty shell is left.
And all that for the satisfaction of a soulless psychopath with a particular penchant for the screams of his victims and the power to do whatever he can think of to break them!
There I was, wishing for Beth to not be as strong as she is, to give in and be done with it. To get boring for Anthony so he’d tire of her.
And then I realized Anthony’s method worked, even on me!

Dark doesn’t come close to describing this book. Anyone who knows me knows I hate spoilers, so I’m not going to break tradition now. Breaking Beth will rip your heart out, twist it around, mulch it, and stuff it back into your chest and expect it to beat again.
Ms. Bene constantly raises the bar on dark romance, and Breaking Beth stands out like a single candle in the darkness. Guard your heart and steel yourself for a soul-defining dark read.

Jennifer is one of my top ten authors and I was anxious to read Beth’s story who was introduced in The Thalia Series. Beth is kidnapped by Anthony and Marcus to be trained as a slave and sold off. But Beth doesn’t have a submissive bone in her body so refuses to succumb to Anthony’s training style. Will Anthony break Beth? You have to read to find out and will be rooting for Beth to win her battle.
