So enjoyed this and glad I read this. Kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next and made me think “What would I do in this same situation”
What an amazing story. Breakfast with the FBI was a thrilling, on the edge of your seat story about a lady that works in a bank, finds discrepancies, and ends up going to the police and gets the FBI involved. It was a great story. I was enthralled from the start. I guess working at a bank isn’t as boring as it seems. I definitely would recommend this book. I am looking forward to reading more from Ms. Ring
Erina you are a brave lady!! I don’t think I could have done half of the things you did. I’m not even sure I would have gone to the bank President, let alone the police. I may have just left the bank and gotten a new job. Wow. As you read this book you need to keep reminding yourself it’s a true story! It’s so out there, your mind keeps telling you it’s fiction. Very well done. This is my second book I’ve read by Erina Bridget Ring. I will absolutely be reading the rest. She is quite the story teller.
Honestly at what cost
Rose did a remarkable and brave thing helping the FBI.She was so brave to do what she felt what was right although she was terrified on the inside.I don’t know how she did what she did but dam she should be proud.
You know that show “What Would You Do?”- this is the central quesadilla of this book. Rose is a a conscientious and dependable bank employee. When she discovers irregularities at the bank, she reports it to the police and suddenly finds herself at a meeting with the FBI. Will Rose agree to help the FBI uncover the truth about the bank irregularities? Read this short but action packed book to find out!
A quick read. Rose works as a teller at a bank. As she takes pride in her job she is given more and more responsibility. At first she is overjoyed to be sent to a branch of the bank. Until she discovers suspicious activity. As an upstanding citizen Rose can’t let a crime go by unreported. The next she begins a series of breakfast meetings with the FBI. Rose’s personal life is affected as she withholds secrets from her husband and children. As the secrets eat away at her confidence Rose questions when the situation will come to an end.
This book was definitely up to the standards set by Ms.Ring in her other books. What would you do if you found discrepancies in bookkeeping at your place of employment? She went to the police. Unfortunately the FBI. Were called in and she found herself embroiled in a scheme to catch the perpetrators. This is witty, dramatic and such great read. I had every intention of just reading a couple chapters but was sucked in, finishing the whole book in one sitting!! No spoilers but pick it up for great entertainment. Thank you Erina Bridget Ring. You are a great treasure.
Book Review: Breakfast with the FBI by author, Erina Bridget Ring
One woman finds herself thrown in the midst of a threatening situation, and one not of her own doing.
Based on a true story, Rose Ryan stumbles headfirst into the middle of an intense embezzlement scheme involving co-workers, upper management, with a long list of others and finds herself scared, alone, and not knowing which way to turn.
In one fell swoop she finds herself with a title she never dreamed would become a part of her quiet, yet career and family oriented lifestyle…the title of- FBI Informant.
Left with no choice, Rose is forced to hide the truths surrounding her secretive mission from the ones she loves the most, her family and closest of friends. With a whirlwind of anxiety, trying to comprehend the unimaginable, and full with fear, Rose is driven deeper into the rabbit hole of despair.
Ms. Ring has given new meaning to the phrase “life can change in an instant,” whether it be with a blink of an eye, a snap of the finger, or in this case, the totalling of a Bank Tellers receipt that screams, TROUBLE!
Breakfast with the FBI is a quick but intensive narrative. One that both entertains and has you on the edge of your seat as to its boldness while you follow the very personal account of one woman’s emotional journey. This book takes on a life all its own with its intriguing characters, it’s chilling yet emotional storyline, and is obvious to its reader- one that is written with heart.
I thank author, Erina Bridget Ring for my personal copy of Breakfast with the FBI, a story I highly recommend and one I enjoyed reviewing.

Breakfast with the FBI by Erina Bridget Ring is a fast-paced, easy to read book filled with twists and turns. Rose Ryan is a bank teller who uncovers large amounts of discrepancies in the bank’s finances and record keeping. Rose goes to the police who in turn bring in the FBI and thus Rose begins doing undercover work for the FBI. Rose is instructed to tell no one not even her husband because her own safety and that of her family’s is at stake. The author has created characters who are real and likable. The storyline is a real life drama, yet for me personally, has a touch of humor and quirkiness. Rose’s story could happen to anyone. I really enjoyed reading this book and recommend it.
My first book by Erina Bridget Ring and it was a great one! Easy to read and easy to follow! Didn’t put it down until I finished it!
Reading this book was like sitting down with the Erina Bridget Ring and her chatting with you over a cup of coffee. Ring has a personable way of writing that wraps you in the story and makes you feel like you really know the characters.
And the story is exciting! From start to finish you feel for the main character and pray she makes it to the end of this tale in one piece! This thrilling novel is a read that should be on everyone’s must read list!
Happy Tuesday, Book Dragons..I apologize for the lateness of the hour, but I only received this Gem today and finished it today because I wanted so very much to share it with you today. This Gem is perfectly cut, every carat sharp and clear, it’s radiant brilliance shines a blazing, blinding white that only comes of honesty, courage and hard won bravery – especially when the person would rather not, but is driven by a deep seated belief in justice, truth and integrity.
These attributes describe to a T Erina Bridget Ring’s heroine in Breakfast with the FBI. This book is based on a true account. Rose is an upper middle class wife and mother. She loves her husband, her two teenage children and her life, but she would like a little something more and so she obtains employment at a local bank. She loves it. She loves crunching the numbers, greeting her customers, learning new things and she’s a quick study. She’s settled, has a good work ethic and comes to work on time each day looking like the professional she wants to be. Her attitude is can-do and her body language says that.
One day after keeping her head during a bank robbery, Rose has duly impressed her employers. They decide to give her even more responsibility and tell her she will begin being trained to learn even more intricate, secure issues such as processing loans and large accounts. She goes home thrilled that she is finally on the path to real success. Her dream is to be a Branch Manager. The next morning when she steps into work, she has to hit the ground running when she meets an unexpected change of plans. She is sent to a small bank branch on the other side of town, due to an employee being fired.
Rose and her can-do attitude dutifully arrive at the branch. She realizes right away that things are very different from the main branch where she has been working. The place is not tightly ran. The manager is sloppy and doesn’t really seem to care. And then less than 24 hours later, she spots a huge error. A $100,000 error, which the manager shrugs off. Rose cannot shrug it off. And this eventually leads her to the police and in turn to sitting in a small bakery having “Breakfast with the FBI”. Rose leaves with more than her usual cup of breakfast coffee, she leaves as an FBI Informant. I loved this book. It is fast paced, a page turner that kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved the relationship Rose has with her husband and her children. There are no snarky spousal jokes, no snotty brat teens. Her co-workers were a mix of the good, the bad and the annoying – like most offices. The FBI agents were not full of bravado and bad language, but were hard working and honest. And Rose, herself, is real. She isn’t some cardboard heroine. She is human. She gets nervous, worries about her family’s safety, her own safety. She struggles with the ethics of what she must do. I read this in an evening because I couldn’t put it down. Blessed be the Mate who refills the tea mug of the Book Dragon, eh?
This book is for sale on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and other fine book sellers, get it today. Erina Bridget Ring and several other books out there, I strongly encourage you to start with this one and don’t stop there.
Until tomorrow, I remain, your humble Book Dragon,
Drakon T. Longwitton
I received this book from the Author in exchange for an honest review.
This was my first book by Erina Bridget Ring and I’m looking forward to reading more!
This is a true story, but for some reason, I didn’t know that!!!! If you worked in a bank and found a discrepancy (many discrepancies) would you do the right thing??? Rose tried going up the chain of command, but that got her nowhere, so she goes to the police, which ultimately leads to her working with the FBI.
The characters (even the evil ones) are great, there are some twists/turns, some affairs, some snutty peeps, some anxiety, some stress, some what do I do now moments, which all lend to a good book.

What would you do if you were to find irregularities while balancing out accounts at the bank you work for? Well for Rose Ryan, she went to the police who ended up passing the information over to the FBI. Next thing Rose knows she’s having breakfast with the FBI the very next morning. The FBI recruits Rose to work undercover for them and collect information on an embezzling scheme that ends up being much more dangerous and more wide spread than you can imagine.
Knowing that this story was based off true events makes this story even more impressive. Rose is a true hero! If you believe in integrity, doing a job to the best of your ability and honesty, then this is definitely the story for you.
Erina Bridget Ring has written a wonderful story that will keep you engaged. It’s a short story and able to be read in one setting.
I truly enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more of Erina’s books.
This was a great little book that packed a big punch. Rose Ryan is keeping a big secret from her family. She had Breakfast with the FBI. But WHY? She uncovers a bank fraud scheme in the course of her work and immediately does the right thing, without giving much thought to how it will effect her emotionally or her family. Page by page we move through this period of Rose’s life, and it’s certainly written in a manner that holds your interest to the very end. There were times I said “Oh Rose” and times that tugged at my heart. I envisioned every scene and the characters were each well developed making this a light and enjoyable read.
Breakfast with the FBI is a quick, exciting read that pulled me in immediately and kept me turning pages faster and faster, attempting to find out if justice was going to be meted out.
The story of Rose, the bank shenanigans and the FBI was a bright spot in my reading week because this book was unlike other books I’ve read.
There were twists, turns and plenty of surprises as I devoured this book about Rose who was doing the right thing even though that right thing came at a high cost of personal loss and possible danger to not only herself, but every member of her family.
I’m not sure how many of us would have been so brave. I loved reading this book and will be reading more by this author. I’d highly recommend this book to anyone that likes mysteries and books dealing with crimes.
A fascinating story about Rose Ryan, a bank teller, who discovers an astonishing outage on her first day at her new bank branch. After getting nowhere with management, Rose goes to her local police who connect her with the FBI. The next morning and for many mornings after, Rose finds herself having breakfast with the FBI.
I loved this book! Being a career banker, I was hooked from the beginning, though this story is so intense and captivating anyone and everyone will love it for the crime novel it is.
Rose is super-woman, balancing this crazy stressful situation and family (which she can’t share anything with) better than I balance my normal day of work, eat, sleep!
Bang!!
If you haven’t read this one, and want a thrill, pick up a copy! It’s a quick read, but packs a punch. Made all the more interesting, since it’s based on actual events. Enjoy!
Breakfast with the FBI was a short very cute book. Rose worked for the bank and noticed some discrepancies. Rose tried to talk to the bank president but he said it was nothing and he would handle it. She over heard him make a call and say Rose knows what’s going on and she needs to go. Rose was so afraid she went to the police who called in the FBI. This was such a good read, I couldn’t wait to find out what happened next. Thank you Erina for letting me read this book.
I really enjoyed this quick, easy and very enjoyable read about Rose Ryan who works in a bank and is transferred to a branch of the bank. Shortly after beginning work there, she discovers a large amount of money missing. She notifies the police who get the FBI involved. Rose is recruited by the FBI to work undercover for them to try to find out what is going on but she cannot tell her family what she is doing. There are a lot of twists and turns in this story and it was well worth the read. This author is new to me and I have already purchased more of her books.
