She’s my best friend’s kid sister. Now she’s not a kid any more.As a forest ranger, I believe in the simple life. I prefer cabins to apartments, trails over freeways, and trees to people. My life is orderly, predictable, and quiet.Until it’s hit by a woman I never saw coming — Hurricane June. She’s fierce. She’s feisty. She has a laugh like the first day of spring, and she’s so pretty that I can’t … spring, and she’s so pretty that I can’t breathe when I look at her. June will only be in town for a few months—just while job-hunting. She won’t last until winter, but how can I resist?
Except I have to. She’s my best, oldest, and most loyal friend’s baby sister.
Betraying him would be the worst thing I’ve ever done. Not betraying him might be the hardest.
Especially once we start working together on a secret project. All this spending time together, sneaking around at night, and lying to her brother about what we’re doing sure feels like more than friendship.
June might break my heart.
Her brother might break my nose.
But I guess some things were made to be broken.
Break the Rules is a steamy, standalone romantic comedy.

June’s back home trying to love nature. So it makes sense that her brother’s best friend, Levi, a forest ranger, is the one who rescues her when she needs it. Too bad for June that her crush on Levi has long been unrequited. But perhaps no longer unrequited because Levi’s finding himself with feelings decidedly unbrotherly. And that’s a problem because his best friend IS June’s brother, and the man Levi considers his brother, too. He just knows Silas will not be cool with him being with his baby sister, as Silas is known for scaring off any of June’s love interests, whether June wants him to or not.
I loved Levi and June! They’re so freaking adorable together. Levi with his kind, compassionate heart and simple life working with trees, and June with her quirky sort of lost self who is the only one who stands up to her overprotective big brother. But lest I make you think they’re all sweetness and light and no sizzle, have no fear because they are seriously hot together, too! I loved Daniel in the previous story, Best Fake Fiancé, but I love Levi and June even more. Their story is downright amazing. These Loveless Brothers and the women who love them are perfect!
Break the Rules is a wonderful romance with great characters and very enjoyable story. Levi and June wrapped themselves around my heart, and their sweet and steamy love story pulled me in from the first page. They are just so perfect together! Roxie Noir is such a great storyteller. The characters feel like family and they speak and act like real people which just makes the story so much more engaging. I loved it. It might be my favorite of the series.

3 1/2*
Levi is best friends with Silas the two have been friends for 30years . Silas is protective of his younger sister June and always has been.
June has crushed on Levi forever but thinks he sees her as Slias kid sister.
A puzzle to solve leads the two to get closer.
I’ve loved Levi from the start of the series his love for nature and his family silent but caring.
June was such an eager study wanting to solve the puzzle and her willingness to show Levi how good things can be.
I’m loving all these Loveless men & hoping Silas has a story to tell.
Break the Rules is the third book in the Loveless Brothers series by Roxie Noir. All three of the books are standalones and I should note that the first two are also FREE in Kindle Unlimited. Please don’t let the “brother’s best friend” premise turn you away because you newest bearded boyfriend awaits inside. Grab your morning coffee and let’s chat about Roxie Noir’s Break the Rules.
June is a journalist…well she was a journalist until the newspaper she worked for laid her off. Now she is stuck living with her parents again and grabbing whatever freelance job she can get. Her most current article was about celebrity dogs for the OMG section of an online magazine. When Levi tells her that someone is cutting down some of the forest’s oldest trees, June’s investigative mind kicks in and she becomes determined to help Levi protect the forest that he so dearly loves.
Levi and Silas have been best friends for 20 years. Silas has been known to go a little crazy over June’s boyfriends so the last thing that Levi needs to do is fall for June. He’s not a relationship person. Hell, he’s not even a people person. Levi prefers solitude but Silas’ kid sister makes him want more.
Let me say that I LOVE June! She is a spunky, woman that you want to be friends with. From the first interaction between June and Levi, I knew they would be great together. June pulls the fun-loving man out of the quiet, book-loving, sensitive, bearded forest ranger that will absolutely be your next book boyfriend.
My rating for Roxie Noir’s Break the Rules is 5 out of 5 propellers!
Amazing read! Loved Levi and June, they are so cute together. He seems like the silent shy type and she seems like the outspoken type, but together they seem to be perfect for each other. Even tho she is the forbidden little sister.
Twice in the span of a week my starting at book three in a series luck hammer struck. I cannot speak highly enough of this book, and I’m not sure why I’ve not read anything of Roxie Noir’s to this point, but I’ll be changing that – these Loveless boys are spectacular!
Levi and I would get along just fine. I know that his heart belongs to June, but I’m all for a forest ranger who lives off the grid in the quiet! He’s a special personality too, and the right kind of Weird. June is a good firecracker to his silent and together they are fantastic!
This story had it all – a forbidden / brother’s best friend romance, excellent cast of characters, full and well rounded personalities, great dialogue, an interwoven legend to solve… just all the things.
Highly recommend!
A great funny and sweet romance. the characters are sweet and have alot of chemistry. this whole story will keep you interested throughout

I’d break the rules for Levi Loveless.
Hands down, my favorite of the brothers. He’s a taciturn arborist, a quiet nerd who just so happens to have thing for June, his BF Silas’ sister.
June thrashes about in nature, is scared of everything in nature, but has a serious jones for Levi Loveless.
Giggles, a dog, flirting and fun. Work drama and broken noses.
Love Levi Loveless.
Recommend.

I am completely in love with this book and these characters. I’ve always liked Levi and his story did not disappoint. June and he click in a big way. They are both smart, fun, a little quirky and I was hooked from the beginning. A great story, kept me on my toes and falling in love along the way.
This is a great read with an awesome storyline that has well developed and engaging characters that have lots of chemistry. The smooth flow of the storyline makes for a good reading time.

Levi is the type of character that the reader just instantly falls for! The story line is funny, full of suspense and heart touching. Roxie knows how to write a story that captures her readers and engulfs them into it. I loved everything about this and can’t wait to read about the over Loveless brothers!
No Words – You Must Read This One!!
OK, so I’ll find a few words….
I love these families. I love the sibling dynamics, and the realities that intrude on their lives. These could be the “people next door”..,,, you only wish.
June has moved back home after losing her job and her boyfriend. Levi rescues her when a tree falls, and power lines cover her car. Her long-time crush grows to be something more. The sticking point is Levi is best friends with Junes big brother Silas – and the fact she is applying to jobs out in Timbuktu means she most likely will not be around long.
When these two must work together to capture a “serial killer”, feelings escalate, and life-changing decisions must be made. Highly entertaining, and a terrific read!!

This is June and Levi’s story and although these two are total opposites, they are so perfect together, even though she is off limits as she is his best friends’ little sister. No spoilers; this is a story which just needs to be read. This is a well written story has heartbreak, angst, emotion, and is a steamy read which is hilarious from the very beginning, and many laugh-out-loud moments throughout this addictive page turner. I highly recommend for all readers.
June gets a double whammy when stormy weather not only drops a tree and some live power lines in front of her car but Levi, the swoony best friend of her brother Silas to her growing predicament.
The man she has loved in secret for so long, rescuing the wayward journalist from herself- the sparks between them are off the charts hot! Unfortunately, they’re not able to act upon the attraction that grows stronger by the minute.
Or can they?
A heart of hearts love story with laughter, bear hugs worth of emotion and hotter than Hades moments – there may have been a second where I hugged my Kindle… maybe.
Three books into the Loveless Series, and I am ALL in!
Fantastic, relatable characters, great stories sexy fun times- My fellow readers – Ms. Noir has got it going on in spades with this series- Levi is all that and then some.
I highly recommend checking this one out for yourself!
This is a wonderful read. It’s full of romance, fun, and even a little mystery. There’s lots of witty banter and laugh out loud moments, especially between the Loveless brothers. (They’re so funny when they get together.) The storyline is brilliant and I loved Levi and June. It’s a sexy, best friend’s sister, absolute must read, addition to this fantastic series. You won’t be disappointed.
I really enjoyed this book. The storyline is fun but also tugs on your heartstrings. I thought that June and Levi were at times both cute and sweet. June did come across as a bit immature and her actions and attitude could be frustrating at times. Levi though was pure awesomeness
This well written storyline has explosive chemistry, wonderful characters who made me laugh and so much more. June is back home trying to figure things out when a power line falls on her car. Levi comes to her rescue and realizes June is all grown up. These two belong together and we get to go through their journey with them. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Something about Roxie Noir’s writing style just WORKS for me, because it’s so easy to get drawn into her books. It took me a little while to warm up to our hero – Levi is a quiet, reserved, slightly odd guy and his interactions reflect that – but once I got to know him better, it was much easier to feel the chemistry. It’s a light, funny book with a slow burn that gets smoking hot and a relationship that has such great depth. If you like best friend’s little sister stories, this is a solid, feel-good book.
The story follows June, a journalist whose life has started to fall apart recently. She got laid off, dumped, moved back in with her parents, can’t seem to find a new job no matter how many applications she fills out… and gets trapped in her car during a storm. When Levi, her brother’s best friend and a reserved, somewhat reclusive mountain man, rescues her, it stirs up the crush she harbored for him in her teens. Levi is loyal to a fault, and entirely unwilling to ruin a lifelong friendship by crossing a line… but June certainly isn’t making things easy. As they begin to see each other more frequently, it becomes impossible to deny that there’s something there worth pursuing – despite all of the obstacles in their path.
I really loved that Levi wasn’t the typical alpha hero (though he definitely shows that side of himself in the bedroom). He’s reserved, lives in isolation, doesn’t sleep around, and is just generally a bit different than most guys. That’s perhaps why it took a little longer for him to win me over – while I loved the writing at the start of the book, I didn’t immediately feel the chemistry but that all changed over the course of the story. It’s a slow burn that gets scorching later on, and there’s an undercurrent of love and respect throughout the whole thing. These are two people who have known each other for much of their lives, but never spent enough time together to truly get to know the finer details. I’m really hoping we get a book about June’s brother, Silas, because the whole thing was handled perfectly and just made me want to learn more about him. There isn’t a ton of angst, and the book has a light, funny vibe that will put a smile on your face.

This is another fabulous book from Roxie Noir. I’m absolutely loving the Loveless brothers. I believe I have a new standard for men and it’s Levi Loveless. I fear that I will compare all the men in my life and I will find them lacking. Roxie, if I never find my happily ever after, it’s all your fault!!!
Oh my damn!!! Oh my damn!!!! Roxie Noir didn’t come to play but to slay. June and Levi forever. This book is hot enough to start a forest fire and laugh out loud funny. The dynamic between the brothers is off the chain. It is told in different points of view, no cheating, no cliffhanger, and a hea. I highly recommend this book.
