My rules: No players. No flirts. No cocky jerks. My exception: Dawson Marsh. Dawson might be every girl’s crush in this small town, but not mine. I can appreciate him from a distance, and that suits me fine. Except that one time he kissed me. Up close and personal. Once is a mistake. But the second time? Sublime. The man should come with some kind of a warning sign: Not safe for work! Hot to the … a warning sign: Not safe for work! Hot to the touch! But what kind of girl can’t handle a little friends with benefits action, right?
The one who missed the most important warning: Danger, risk of falling.

I so enjoy this series from this author, the depth of the characters and the stories are top notch. This time it’s Dawson who’s the notorious flirt and playboy and Evie, a woman who he’s known for two years and always bantered and flirted with. One night it’s a kiss that takes both their breaths away which leads to another night. It has both of them reeling, him not thinking he’s good enough because of his past and current struggles and Evie thinking she’s not his type and he wouldn’t want a woman like her. They both have their doubts about themselves and it will take patience, understanding and opening up themselves to each other to make it work.
Oh boy…what a read that had me flipping the pages with the depth of feeling both of them feel and learning that Dawson is more than what he portrays to others. The steam…oh boy…the steam…hot, sensual and hot. I LOVED this read and how the two fit just right, the story flowing beautifully and even though Dawson may have been a man wh***, the little drama between them wasn’t because of another woman, jealousies or misunderstandings…refreshing…LOVED IT!!
