Breach of Trust is another wonderful legal suspense novel by Rachel Dylan. While this book is the third in the Atlanta Justice series, it can easily be read as a stand alone novel.
I enjoyed this peek into the world of corporate law and found myself trying to guess who was behind all of the trouble and mayhem that was occurring. The main characters, Noah and Mia, were very likable, even when they were on opposite sides of a murder case. I enjoyed their relationship’s natural development during the story.
I always feel like I am getting a glimpse into the real workings of the legal system when I read a book by this author. This was definitely true with Breach of Trust and made for a very interesting story.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
A great ending to a terrific suspense trilogy! I really enjoyed this read. Lawyers may be nice, but they can’t always play nice. Mia learns that through the situations that occur in court. Outside of court, her faith is being tested in so many ways…just like in anyone’s life. I really enjoyed the suspense in this read. The author did an awesome job of slight hints of things along the way without giving away who all was involved or exactly the end game.
It’s a terrific legal thriller with a page turner plot and very relateable characters. Some faith questions that are common in this wicked world…and characters from the previous books. All of this comes together for a tremendous legal thriller that I highly recommend. I will admit that it took me a bit to get into the read , but that was probably more my mood than the writing.
I really highly recommend this read, and this entire series.
I received this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
If you like legal thrillers.. you will enjoy this one! For corporate law, this lawyer stuff gets intense! Lots of action and watch over your shoulder suspense. Kept me guessing and the ending a surprise!
I was gifted a copy, no review was required. My review is voluntary.
Suspense is high in Dylan’s third and final book in her Atlanta Justice series. This open and shut murder case may be more than it appears on the surface. Mia Shaw’s good friend Chase who was also a co-worker was murdered. She was the one who found him dead in his apartment and there was no doubt in Mia’s mind who had committed this awful deed. Mia is determined that the man will be brought to justice. When she is assigned to complete the case Chase her murdered friend was working on, troubling facts begin to emerge and Mia finds herself a target and her life in danger. What is going on, surely they have the right man arrested for her Chase’s murder. Who is threatening her life and why? This story takes many turns and twists and will keep you guessing who the real murderer is………. Another great mystery/suspense with a little romance in the mix…..The publisher via Netgally allowed me to read and I am happy to leave a review.
This was book three in a wonderful series Atlanta Justice by Rachel Dylan. Extremely strong characters, non ending twists and turns, all lead to a wonderful ending for this series!
Mia Shaw is absolutely devastated when she witnesses the brutality of her friend and colleague’s murder scene. She vows to do everything in her power to help bring the killer to justice. When Noah, the friend of the accused murderer, steps in to prove his innocence, he and Mia clash. All Noah asks is that she keeps an open mind to consider all the facts of the murder.
Meanwhile, Mia is asked to take on the case that her friend had been in charge of before he is murdered. As she digs deeper in her case, she begins to wonder if there was a lot more behind the murder than what she originally took at face value. As Mia and Noah continue to work together, their friendship develops on many levels.
One of the parts I really thought was great about this story was the message about Mia growing in her faith. This is definitely a stand alone book, but in the earlier books of this series, we see Mia as someone who doesn’t have faith. In this story, it shares that she has been a Christian for 6 months, so her faith is still in the early, tender stages. With all that happens to her, she starts to question God and why these bad things keep happening. What she learns to realize, is that knowing God doesn’t magically take away the pain in life, but it does give us someone to lean on when the times get tough!
I enjoyed this book and the entire Atlanta Justice series! I can’t wait to see what next series Rachel Dylan has in store.
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and Bethany House Publishers. All opinions in this review are my own and were voluntarily given.
This is the third installment in the Atlanta Justice series and I think this is my favorite book in the series. Even though this book is part of a series I feel it is definitely a stand alone. Packed full of edge of your seat suspense and a mystery with twists and turns that keeps you guessing until the end. I loved these complex characters. Mia is strong and well developed character. She works for a big law firm, but readily admits that it’s not her ideal job. Yet, she still gives 100% to every case she’s given. When she finds her friend brutally murdered she show real and raw emotions, but instead of revenge she seeks justice. Noah, former ATF agent, runs a private security firm with two close friends. Noah receives a phone call from a former agent who happened to save his life and asks for help. Noah and Mia are on a collision course, but for different reasons. Mia has accused/believes David McDonald killed her friend, but Noah is convinced he’s innocent. I like that Noah is upfront with Mia about the fact he’s looking for answers to prove David’s innocence and will leave no stone uncovered. When Mia starts asking questions the case heats up and suddenly she and Noah find things much more complicated that they ever imagined.
This book has elements of mystery, suspense, romantic tension, faith, and love. This is a great book and I would recommend to anyone who loves a suspense or mystery.
**I received this book from the author via the publisher. I was not required to write a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
As a rule, I would not expect corporate law to be anything but routine and boring but in author Rachel Dylan’s hands it is anything but. Stakes are high in Dylan’s third and final book in her Atlanta Justice series when a high profile case may be more than it appears on the surface. It just may be connected to the murder of Mia Shaw’s good friend Chase who was originally handling the case.
Determined to see Chase’s murderer receive justice, Mia vows to do everything she can to see that the accused man is convicted of the crime. After all, there is plenty of evidence pointing to him as the murderer. When she is assigned to complete the case Chase was working on, troubling facts begin to emerge and Mia finds herself a target and her life in danger. The only person she can depend on for help is the Noah Ramirez, the man working hard to prove his friend innocent of the murder.
Once again I found myself immersed in a book by this author, turning pages as quickly as I could read them to find out what would happen next. I also loved the fact that Mia was a new Christian and that several conversations about faith were so deftly woven into the plot that it flowed naturally. It is also evident that as a lawyer herself, Dylan knows her stuff when it comes to the legal aspects of the story which makes it all the more authentic. At risk of offending his fans, I would personally put her novels up against John Grisham’s any day.
If you enjoy romantic suspense with a legal setting, I would highly recommend Breach of Trust as well as the entire Atlanta Justice series.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book provided by the author and Bethany House Publishers. A favorable review was not required. All views expressed are my own.
Oh my gosh Rachel does a great job. This is the third book in the Atlanta justice series. Thrills galore. Suspenseful set up. Her characters come to life and reel you in. I didn’t want to put the book down till I was on the last page. Definitely a good book !!!
“This is bigger than you think. And much more dangerous.”
Finding one of her co-workers murdered in his own apartment has ignited corporate litigator Mia Shaw’s passion for justice. At first glance, it’s an open and shut case but as new details come out of the shadows and into the light, Mia becomes worried that she may have rushed to judgement. When the best friend of the accused turns out to be a mutual acquaintance, Mia agrees to keep an open mind, for it seems that security expert Noah Ramirez is capable of changing her opinion about many things.
“Breach of Trust” is a thrilling legal suspense with meticulous attention to details which continually shift in and out of importance, giving its readers no clear picture of who they can trust.
I received a copy of this book from the author and publisher. The opinions stated are entirely my own.
Such a good author! Love this series. Highly recommend reading them all!!! Lots of twists in this book to keep you guessing!
I received this book and I am voluntarily giving my review.
Chase and Mia worked at the same place, celebrating tonight, of his being a partner of 1 year. Arriving to find he had been murdered. A maintenance man and Chase had disagreements, was it him. Her best friend Sophia, at her
wedding she met Noah. Noah had been a AFT as was David calling him for
help. Noah is now a PI. Mia is asks to take over the account Chase was
working on to find hidden secrets, espionage with it. Noah and Mia working
together give this a nice touch of romance. The legal part was well
researched, and easy to see what was being done. Another winner for the
author and this series.
Given.ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion fromNet Galley
and Bethany.
Rachel Dylan ends her wonderful Atlanta Justice series with Mia’s story. Mia discovers the body of a good friend who has been murdered, a friend who is also a fellow lawyer and coworker at the same firm. When Mia is asked to take on his current case, she jumps at the chance to help him out. She soon discovers that things are not always what they seem.
If you enjoy a legal thriller that is inspirational, then don’t hesitate to purchase this book. Dylan brings it and keeps it interesting, with enough twists to keep you guessing till the very end. Recommended.
*My thanks to the publisher for a preview copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
I love reading Christian suspense fiction, and Rachel Dylan is one of my favorite authors in this genre. This book showcases her ability to write an intriguing and riveting story that compels you to drop everything else you’re doing to keep reading another chapter to see what happens next. Although this is the last book in the Atlanta Justice series, it’s still a good stand-alone story and you can easily catch up with the characters as you read.
I loved the main character of Mia in this story. She’s smart, loyal, and caring. Her tenacity in discovering the truth of a horrible situation is a driving force in this storyline. Every character in this book is well-defined and perfectly fits their place in the story. The growing romance between Noah and Mia is not the main theme of this book, but their partnership in solving the crime is central to the story.
Rachel Dylan has given us a heart-pounding story with many twists and turns that compel you to solve this case along with them. I don’t know what the author has planned for us in her next series, but I’m eagerly looking forward to reading her next book.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
An enthralling legal thriller that will keep you turning the pages. The characters were interesting. The growing romance between Mia and Noah was a slow process as they got to know and trust one another while investigating her friends murder. The legal case Mia is assigned to that was her deceased friends case is not what she expected and everyone involved is not as they seem. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.
The much anticipated final book of Atlanta Justice series it finally here. I am so sad to see this series come to an end I have really enjoyed every single book I had a hard time putting them down. In this book it takes some twist and turns and you never know what’s going to happen next. This book will have you have you on the edge of your seat from beginning to the end, leaving you wanting so much more. I loved how the author talked a lot about faith and how having faith even in the hard times are important. I loved how she talked about even questioning where you stand when you get knock down. This book is not just a fiction suspense a book but it has a lesson in life in it and how being a Christian doesn’t mean its easy or perfect. I think in each book of this series there is a life lesson. I really can’t wait to see what the author has in store next but I am so glad to have added this series to my library.
If you have never read anything by Rachel Dylan series grab this series you won’t regret it.
Ever sit down to read a few chapters in a book and before you know it you’ve closed the back cover? That was me while reading Breach of Trust. The action quickly sucked me in and I was captive until the very last page. Rachel Dylan’s writing is impeccable, weaving the reader on an adventure they’re not soon to forget. The characters were well developed and the suspense was clearly palpable.
As with any other crime fiction novel, as a reader you generally expect to be thrown-off a few times, holding you in a roller-coaster of suspense. I won’t share any of the story-line to prevent spoiling, but I will simply tell you that the wheels in my mind were continuously spinning in an attempt to fit the puzzle pieces together before the characters. The author truly did a masterful job on this one.
Breach of Trust is the third in the Atlanta Justice series. While it can easily be read as a stand-alone I’d still highly recommend reading the others as well. This series is amazing and one that is sure to leave me stalking the author for her next release (in a completely non-creepy way haha). If you’re a fan of romantic suspense this series is a must-read!
*I received a copy of this book from the author. Thoughts and opinions expressed are mine alone.
Breach of Trust is the third and best thriller in the Atlanta Justice series, Rachel Dylan at her very best. I used to think corporate litigation would be boring, but not anymore. The characters are very likable, conversations realistic, and the mystery is extremely complex. The best part is the demonstration of lives lived by faith and prayer, the depth of friendship and relationship Christians can have.
Mia Shaw is a corporate defense attorney. She was going to celebrate the first-year anniversary of her friend and mentor, Chase, becoming partner in the firm they work for. When he didn’t answer the door or his phone, she found the door unlocked and went in. She saw the living room had been tossed as if someone had been looking for something. Then she finds the brutally murdered body of her friend, Chase; her life will not be the same again.
Devastated, Mia could only think of one person who could have killed him. The maintenance man for the apartment complex had been a thorn in Chase’ side, even giving him a black eye in a fight the week before. Within a short time of talking with the police, David McDonald was in police custody, and evidence found at the crime scene tracked with David being there.
Noah Ramirez is a partner in a security and PI firm with his close friends, Cooper and Landon. Cooper is the husband of Mia’s best friend, Sophie, and Landon the husband of their friend, Kate. All are Christians. Noah and Mia do not know each other except in passing with their friends’ activities, but they are about to see a new side to each other. Mia would go to any length for David’s conviction, and Noah believes that David, his friend since their days in ATF, is innocent. David is certain he is being framed.
The partners at the firm give Mia the case Chase was working on. Even though she isn’t a partner, she will be the lead attorney to the team that worked for Chase. Despite the animosity of one of Chase’s team members and the prosecutor from the opponent’s law firm, Mia will do her best to honor her friend. She discovers things that are different from how Chase typically handled his cases. The files are a mess, and many things missing. Then little things begin to occur; whoever had killed Chase just might be after her, also.
I like Mia and enjoyed getting to know more about her and her dedication to her friends. Being a Christian for less than a year, I appreciate her transparency with her friends and how she is pressing into the Lord even through her grief and anger. Getting to know Noah is also enlightening! The best conversation he and Mia have about their faith, to me, is when Noah shares his dark night of the soul when assailed by doubts and struggling with the God he grew up believing in.
What a fabulous plot, full of twists and turns that kept this reader riveted! Seeing crises and loss through the eyes of another believer, especially a relatively new one, is eye-opening. There are abundant spiritual lessons demonstrated beautifully through prayer and action. Each will grow through these situations, closer to the Lord and each other. This is a complicated, challenging mystery. I did figure out part of the resolution but not how it fit into the whole. Even through the scariest moments, nobody gave up! I highly recommend this novel, and series, to those who appreciate good Christian writing, legal thrillers, and romance.
From a grateful heart: I received a copy of this from the publisher and NetGalley, and this is my honest review.
Breach of Trust grabs your attention in the first chapter and keeps it throughout the book. The main characters, Noah and Mia, are likable and well-developed. I loved Noah’s close relationships with his work partners, especially his forgiving one of them. He was so tender and protective with Mia. The plot has twists and turns and moves at a good pace. The setting is Atlanta, Georgia. There is a sweet HEA. I highly recommend this to romantic suspense readers. It is a clean read. Don’t miss out on this one! I received an ARC. I chose to write a review and share my opinion of this excellent book.
Breach of Trust ( Atlanta Justice #3 )
By: Rachel Dylan
Breach of Trust is book three in Atlanta Justice Series. Wow, what a story. I would have to say that Breach of Trust is my favorite. I did not want to put it down. I was not disappointed. Dylan weaves a story with action, suspense , mystery, intrigue, and romance. Mia is a corporate lawyer and finds her best friend and co worker dead. She is determined to find out who did this to her friend. There is action from start to finish and the author will keep you turning those pages and guessing till the end. Is Mia safe? Things are not what they appear to be. Will Justice be done and the killer found before it is to late?
I was given a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher, but was not told that I had to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.
