“Faith isn’t a magic pill. It’s important to understand that. Not to expect the pain to just stop because you’ve let God into your life. But it does allow you to cope with the pain in a different way.”
This is actually the first book I have read from Rachel Dylan and I am totally hooked. Breach of Trust is book 3 in the Atlanta Justice series but can definitely be read as a stand-alone. Now that I’ve finished the book, I need to go back and read books 1 and 2!!
The author creates a fast-moving legal thriller full of action, suspense, and surprises in the plot that will keep you guessing who the real villain is. The writing is easy to follow, the characters are real and lovable, and the faith component of the story tangible and affirmative. If you enjoy a well-written romantic suspense/legal thriller, you will absolutely love this book.
Our heroine, Mia, is a brilliant corporate defense lawyer who has a broken past but a new life in her faith. She ends up taking a case after the death of her friend and colleague that leads her down a twisted and tangled web of corporate schemes. Noah, our hero, is a private investigator specializing in technology and gets involved in Mia’s case when his ex-ATF buddy gets accused of murder. Noah is the steady, dependable, faithful sort who becomes Mia’s rock as the case and her life unravel quickly. It’s also interesting to see two other perspectives in the plot – one from Owen, the general council of the corporation that Mia is defending, and the other from Ty, the criminal defense lawyer who takes Noah’s friend’s case pro bono. Will there be future books about Owen and/or Ty?!?! We can only hope….
I received a copy of the book from Bethany House Publishers and was under no obligation to post a positive review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.
Awesome book
After reading and enjoying book 1 in the Atlanta Justice series, I was pleased to find book 3 in my local library. The story is well paced and keeps you guessing till the end. The romance is slow and gentle. The two main characters are Christians so there are faith elements in the story guiding their moral compass. All in all everything I want in a suspense story without the stuff I don’t.
Breach of Trust
Atlanta Justice #3
By Rachel Dylan
Mia Shaw has just lost one of her best friends to a brutal act of violence and she is determined that the guilty party pays for what he has done. There is just one problem Noah Ramirez doesn’t believe that his friend is guilty of the crime and he will do what is necessary to find the evidence to prove David McDonald innocent. The first step is getting Mia to have an open mind to the possibility that the wrong man is being charged.
Chase Jackson was Mia’s friend and she can’t understand why anyone would kill him. And when she is asked to take over the case he was working on at the time of his death she can think of no better way to honor him. But things aren’t adding up in the case and something more is going on behind the scenes than it appears. But getting to the truth may find Mia facing a fate similar to Chase’s. Can Noah help keep her safe, clear his friend, and help Mia discover the truth of Chase’s case before it is too late?
Breach of Trust is the third book in the Atlanta Justice series and it is just as page-turning as the previous two books. If you have not yet read the other books that is fine as this book can easily be read as a standalone title. There are plenty of twists to keep you guessing to who the guilty party is and there are plenty of potential suspects. And I will admit that the identity of the killer with definitely well hidden until it was revealed. If you are a fan of romantic suspense but want something a bit longer than Love Inspired Suspense this is perfect for you. Sit back and get caught up in a case that will keep you reading well into the night.
Rachel Dylan hikes a little higher on my list of favorite authors every time I read one of her books. It’s apparent that she is only getting better at her craft as she works. Her career as a lawyer brings this legal suspense to life.
Breach of Trust was fast paced and action packed, keeping you guessing until the very end. The first page sucked you in, and I stayed up passed my bed time finishing it! Murder, corporate espionage, hit men, militia groups, and government ops gone bad; this book does not lack gripping plot or page turn-ability.
I was so eager finally dive in to Mia’s story, and Dylan did not disappoint. Mia is a strong-willed character who is new to her faith, and finds the events happening to her to be testing what she knows about God. I love that her faith didn’t change her personality, just the way she approached situations. That Dylan wasn’t afraid to write a fierce, faith-filled, leading lady makes me like her all the more!
Noah is a great counter balance to Mia’s strong personality. A gentle giant, Noah gives her space to work things out in her own way, without smothering her. He’s also not passive, and willing to tell her the things she needs to hear. He was my favorite male lead of the series.
I’m sad that this is the last installment in the Atlanta Justice Series. This series and just gotten better with each installment. I hope we see some of these characters pop up in Dylan’s future works.
Her friend is dead, will she be next?
I think Breach Of Trust is the book I’ve most looked forward to in this series. Mia and Noah have both intrigued me ever since they were introduced in the first Atlanta Justice book. And I was not disappointed, not by the characters and their chemistry, nor by the threads of mystery, or by the tense elements of legal suspense.
Once again, Rachel Dylan’s personal knowledge of the ins and outs of the American legal system shown through in her stellar ability to paint a courtroom drama that keeps readers on the edge of their seats and glued to the page.
I do have to admit that I did guess the basics of the ultimate who and why of the mystery but Rachel Dylan also threw in some real curveballs that kept me, and her characters, hopping.
The romance was excellent and the suspense was taut, which, in my book, makes a truly enjoyable read. Whether you are a fan of the author or new to her books Breach Of Trust, and the previous books in the Atlanta Justice series, are well worth the time spent reading and I would recommend them.
(I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are entirely my own.)
Another great legal suspense book from talented author Rachel Dylan
This was a really good read. It kept me interested from start to finish and was a rollercoaster read the entire time.
Upon reading about the author, Rachel Dylan, it helps me understand how she can write with so much knowledge in a legal realm. She practiced law for over a decade! The great thing about this, is that she was able to write this story in a manner in which I didn’t feel lost or over my head. The story was enthralling.
Basically Mia Shaw is a lawyer and her best friend, a male colleague was murdered. She wants to do her best to make sure the guy they caught is put behind bars forever, however there are circumstances that may be pointing a different direction.
All in all, great read. This book has made me want to read the rest of the books in the Atlanta Justice series. Even more interesting, is that living so close to Atlanta, I was able to relate to some of the landscape details she provided.
The publisher has provided me with a complimentary copy of this book or advanced reading copy through NetGalley.
Everything looks like it’s going to be cut and dried when it comes to the guilt of the arrested man. Some would even say a slam dunk. But not so fast. You know that’s not going to happen though right? There is also other things going on and the dangers became more and more clear. There is plenty of mystery and action in this story. It did have depth.
I liked both of the M.C.’s and that they each had their own P.O.V.’s shared. I will say that this was light on the romance part and started with friendship. More attention was placed on the multi-plots that were going on and it was very well written. It also kept the intensity level high. The supporting cast of people in the story were also good.
On another note…Is Christian faith a part of this story? Definitely but it also doesn’t take over the story or make it preachy. One of my favorite comments was from Noah when he was talking to Mia about faith. He was a preacher’s son and said that faith had been instilled into him from day one but that he had to find his own path as an adult. He was honest about that path had many twists and turns and valleys.
“I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book through Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”
Breach of Trust, the highly anticipated conclusion to Rachel Dylan’s Atlanta Justice series, immediately draws readers in and takes them on a thrilling ride with many unexpected twists and turns along the way. Attorney Mia Shaw finds her colleague murdered and vows to find justice for him. Technology expert and former ATF agent Noah Ramirez’s friend is charged with the murder, but things aren’t always what they seem. When Mia takes over her murdered colleague’s latest case, she finds herself and Noah both in danger and in the fight for their lives.
Rachel Dylan’s real-life experience as an attorney gives her books authenticity and realism that readers will not find anywhere else. Readers will fall in love with tall, dark, and handsome Noah and his huge heart. He is such a swoon-worthy character and will definitely be one to add to the readers’ collection of favorite book boyfriends. The author intricately weaves the characters’ faith into the novel in a realistic manner as the characters discuss the struggles they face and have overcome during their journey. The characters from the previous books in the series play a secondary role as they come together to support their friends in this novel.
This is a stand alone novel, so readers do not have to read the first two book in the series first. However, Rachel Dylan creates such a compelling story that readers will want to read the entire Atlanta Justice series. Breach of Trust is highly recommended for readers of romantic suspense, especially those who enjoy books by authors such as Lynette Eason, Lynn H. Blackburn, and Elizabeth Goddard.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Bethany House through NetGalley and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine. (After reading it, I enjoyed the book so much that I also purchased my own paperback copy!)
Just three pages into this book I knew that Breach of Trust was going to be a book that would be hard to put down. Corporate lawyer Mia Shaw finds her colleague murdered in his apartment and she is determined to find who killed her friend. What follows is a story filled with twists and turns and a lot of deception. Mia herself becomes a target when she discovers the possibility of corporate espionage and realizes that her career may be at stake. As she searches for the truth she finds herself depending on security tech guru Noah Ramirez for both guidance and protection.
Author Rachel Dylan has practiced law for over a decade and she is a litigator at a top legal firm. It is this experience and expertise that help make this book and this series so believable. Breach of Trust is the third book in the Atlantic Justice series and it is a great legal suspense novel. It is also wonderful Christian fiction and Dylan’s personal beliefs are very evident in this story that has hope, faith, and forgiveness. She knows how to express the conflicts that are often experienced by both new converts and seasoned Christians. I especially enjoyed one conversation about faith between Mia and Noah. Mia’s faith is new but Noah grew up as a preacher’s kid. Mia confides that she was raised with no sense of of religion, faith, or even morals and Noah admits that, even though faith has long been a part of him, he still had to find his own way as an adult. ‘God has an interesting way of tugging at our hearts and opening up our minds. Using the dark and painful challenges of life to speak into our hearts.’ (p. 168)
Dylan also uses this last book in the Atlanta Justice series to show how the characters from the previous books are doing. Sophie and Kate are now happy and content with Cooper and Landon and it becomes obvious that they are determined to help their friend Mia discover her own happiness and contentment. Watching Mia and Noah’s personal relationship develop as they work to find the killer would be a perfect way to end this series and I found myself rooting for them.
Breach of Trust is filled with adventure and intrigue and there are many touching moments as we say goodbye to these characters. They will be missed!
I received a complimentary copy from Bethany House Publishers and a positive review was not required. These are my honest thoughts.
Fantastic romantic suspense. I loved the suspense with a bit of romance. There were many twists and turns. I wasn’t sure who the bad guy was until close to the end of the book. I got to learn a little bit of law in this also. I loved Mia and Noah. These two worked so well together. This was a wonderful ending to a great series. I received a copy of this book from the author for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.
(I received this ARC to read and review with my own, personal opinion.)
Breach of Trust (Atlanta Justice, Book 3) by Rachel Dylan
I just want to say that thanks to Rachel Dylan, I have found a new favorite genre to read!
All I can say is, wow!
Breach of Trust had my attention from page 1. From the murder of Mia’s good friend, Chase in the first chapter to the twist of events between Mia and Harper at the very end of the book, I didn’t want to put it down! Also, Noah and Mia are perfect together!
I loved this book!!
This is the 3rd book in the Atlanta Justice series. I received a free advance copy of the book, but this review contains my honest opinion of the story. I hadn’t read the first two books and was able to jump right into the storyline. Since the author practiced law for over a decade, she has an excellent grasp of the legal system and immerses the reader seamlessly into that world.
MCs Mia Shaw and Noah Ramirez work to solve a murder but they’re approaching it from opposite viewpoints. Mia is certain she knows who murdered her friend while Noah is equally certain his friend is being wrongfully accused of murder.
The plot thickens when corporate espionage is uncovered and Mia’s life is endangered.
This solid legal thriller kept me engrossed to the end and I enjoyed Mia and Noah’s evolving relationship. I recommend it to any reader who enjoys twists and turns in a thoughtful, realistic plot along the lines of John Grisham or Terri Blackstock.
This book three in the Atlanta Justice Series was full of twists and turns. Two incidents that seem totally unrelated, or are they, bring lawyer Mia Shaw into grief, then anger and a case her firm gives her that puts her life in danger.
This can be read as a stand-alone but I highly recommend the first two also. Author and lawyer, Rachel Dylan, brings so much “to the table” with her expertise. There is lots of nail biting, heart thumping action to get the avid reader staying up late at night turning pages. And the best part is the surprise ending which I loved in the fact that I had the wrong culprit in mind, another plus for the author’s writing.
Mia literally finds her close friend and colleague has been brutally murdered when she goes to his apartment. Noah is sure his friend and buddy whose being accused of the murder has been framed. They “lock horns” right at the start but the search for truth finds them both working together to unravel all the threads that have been so tangled together. But will they learn the truth before one or both of them have been killed? Tune in for the rest of the story!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher but was not required to write a review positive or otherwise.
The final book in Rachel Dylan’s Atlanta Justice series starts with a murder and proceeds full speed ahead from there.
Amid grieving the loss of her good friend, Mia Shaw is given the lead on a case that is shrouded in danger and secrets. She turns to Noah Ramirez for his help in finding answers to her questions even though the two of them stand on opposite sides of the man accused of the murder of Mia’s friend.
Dylan’s courtroom and lawyer/client situations are spot on, the action is vivid and intense, and the romance develops naturally all while Mia’s new faith is tested. The author handles each situation and answer with authenticity and grace.
Readers of the first two books will also enjoy cameos by Kate, Sophie, and their guys. If you’re looking for a legal suspense read that leans more toward the cases and will keep you guessing, you can’t go wrong with Breach of Trust.

Breach of Trust is the final book in the Atlanta Justice series. I really enjoyed all three of these books and appreciated learning a bit about the legal world. This story is well written, flows nicely, and keeps you engaged. And it does keep you guessing right up to the end!
Mia is a wonderfully strong leading lady, who works hard and never gives up. When her good friend is brutally murdered she will stop at nothing to make sure that the person guilty of the crime pays. You see her grow in her faith, rely on her friends, and mature as a person.
Noah is a very likeable guy who takes his job seriously and his feelings for Mia even more so. He is helping her with a work case and figure out who killed her friend. But his main goal is to make sure that Mia is safe. He’s a very fun, relatable character!
I received a complementary copy of this book. I was not required to give a good review. All opinions expressed are my own.

I thoroughly enjoyed Breach of Trust, I think the novel Rachel Dylan’s best thus far. Highly recommend!
I received a complimentary copy of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley, and am not required to provide a positive review. All thoughts and opinions therein are solely my own.
Rachel Dylan again gives us another hard hitting romantic suspense.
The storyline was powerful filled with multi faceted characters.
I loved how the main characters lived their faith.
This book is recommended for those who love Christian romantic suspense with a strong inspirational message.
Such a great book! As you can see I stayed up way to late because I had to find out what happened . Rachel Dylan did an awesome job in creating a story so compelling! I highly recommend Breach
of Trust.
