Jordan Slattery is a skateboarding phenom, but no one’s heard of her. That is, until she starts college in California, and heads begin to turn each time she hits the skateparks. She tries to avoid the attention, waking at the crack of dawn to ride before anyone else arrives. That plan backfires when none other than Beckett Steele, skateboarding world champion, shows up at the same park with the … the same plan to avoid the crowds. Too bad his initial interest in her disappears when he realizes she’s only seventeen to his twenty-five. When Beckett’s best friend discovers Jordan on his own and wants to offer her the opportunity of a lifetime, Jordan finds herself considering a future she never imagined. She never wanted to get pulled into the world of sponsorships, competitions, and social media frenzy. But is she willing to sacrifice her obscurity if it means having Beckett Steele in her life?

I loved the weave of college life for Jordan, and her life as talented female skateboarder. Jordan is a loaner but her skateboarding talents are taped by onlookers and placed on Instagram. The story travels through Jordan and Beck’s attraction and budding romance. I love Ali Dean’s books and am truly looking forward to the next in this series.
Totally in love with Jordan and Beck. But I do think Beck is a bit of an idiot. He spend the entire book trying to keep Jordan at arms length. But this sweet naive girl doesn’t deserve mind games. She deserves so much more. And by the end it looks like Beck has seen the light. Ugh I don’t want to wait for the next book! But I’m super excited for it! Can’t wait

Love, love, loved Jordan and Beck!
This is the start to what will be an epic story and series so be warned it ends on a cliffhanger!
Jordan has just started college and is one week away from her 18th birthday when fate at the skateboard park throws fate her way. Over the next few days she meets her not only her skateboarding idols but makes new BFF’s in the process but what is it about broody, annoyingly handsome Beck that makes her want him more than anyone else.
Beck fatefully meets the new skater girl in town who happens to be not only super talented but beautiful. She is also very young and that means he should stay away from her but fate has other ideas in store.
I could this story was going to be epic and I just couldn’t put it down. The characters jumped from the page and I am eager to find out what’s in store next for the gang!
I voluntarily read this book for an honest review.
Brazen Rush was everything I could want. It was a great story with awesome characters and a great flow. I completely ate this book up. I sat down and before I knew it, I read the entire thing. I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN! I can not wait until the next book comes out. I can’t wait to find out what happened after the cliff hanger ending.
I received a free ARC of this novel via Hidden Gems in exchange for an honest review. My opinion is my own.
I have read other romances by Ms Dean and have loved them all. This one follows along that vein. Jordan is a kick butt young woman that we all aspire to grow up into. She is fearless yet vulnerable. The plot is great and the character interaction is really amusing most of the time. My only complaint is that it ends on a major cliffhanger.
Fantastic second book in this ya series with outstanding characters. Entertaining sports romance with a spectacular heroine in skateboarder Jordan. Young, talented and ready for her future. She starts college and meets one of her ideals in the sport, Beck and she’s a goner. Their connection is instant and develops into a sweet and sexy romance. I love the skateboarding world in this story and the wonderful athletes especially the Jordan and her girl power attitude. Excellent writing, an exciting storyline and fabulous characters makes this a must read.

Brazen Rush is the fantastic start to the Brazen series by Ali Dean! I love Jordan and Beckett! This skateboarding book isn’t anything like you think.
Jordan is a college freshman who moved across the country to attend college. Skateboarding is what she loved, and why she picked the college she did. Jordan is the type of heroine I love. She is strong, fierce and independent. Beckett is a 25 year old skating pro who is trying to finish his college degree.
Beckett and Jordan have chart topping chemistry right from the start. They have a fast easy friendship that could easily be more if given the chance. The age gap between them is a huge issue for Beckett and could cost him Jordan altogether.
Brazen Rush is a fantastic read. I could not get enough for Jordan and Beckett. Dean delivered yet another well-written NA romance that had me hooked from start to finish. I loved Jordan and Beckett as individual characters, and also thought the group of side characters were fantastic too. I cannot wait for May, I need book two!
Perfect, perfect, perfect!
Is there even a way to say that this book is nothing short from perfect? Whenever I reach for this author’s books I’m never disappointed, but what is more since I read the first book every single one I read after is even better. Not sure how that’s possible but I’m out of scale so I guess from now on it will only be 5* ratings 😉
It’s not only about the story, the plot, the characters but about the writing style, the words used, the way how characters are getting more and more rounded and perfectly developed. I love seeing progress in writing style while reading the same author’s work. And here with Ali Dean I have an impression that every new story is more mature, better thought through, better prepared and fantastically delivered on the pages.
But back to the book. How am I now to survive till next part after the cliffhanger served? Tell me how? I’m left hanging, panting, after whole night reading I need more. I can’t wait for this fantastic story to continue. I have a feeling there is so much more to discover together with the characters from this book. I already know I will miss them when it is all said and done. Must read if you love a good sport’s romance with full range of emotions and complicated relationships. Nothing good in life that comes for free.
I love this new series! A skateboarding 17 year old girl goes to a university across the country to follow her dreams. She loves skateboarding with a passion and just wants to practice on all these ramps she had seen online. She makes new friends and a love interest who is so undecided that he’s sending mixed signals daily.
I’m not much into skateboarding but I found Jordan and Beckett’s storylines. The characters are well developed and engaging and the storyline has a great flow to it.

ali Dean writes the best sports romance and this one is no exception!
I really enjoyed this this new book from Ali. I loved that Jordan is not your.l normal heroine. Can’t wait to see what’s up next.
ARC review. I’ve loved all of Ali Dean’s sports romances and it’s no surprise I love Brazen Rush. It’s a great beginning to a new series. The only things I would change would be to make it longer because it ends too soon and to have the whole series ready to go as I hate to wait! Since I can’t change either of these I guess I’ll just have to say it’s just perfect and if I could give it 6 stars I would. I can’t wait for #2.
Jordan Slattery and Beckett Steele are some amazing skateboarders. So when Jordan goes to a park to just relax and get used to the ramps and just get the feel of her new environment. She finds out that someone got her on video doing a 540 and she ends up meeting some big names like Beckett and Griffin. She has a pull towards Beckett but when he finds out she is only 17 he basically stops all flirting. So this book basically is about Jordan and Beckett. You get a good understanding of these two as their characters build. I love how Jordan puts herself out there. Beckett is like a ping pong and cannot make up his mind. So when you get to the end of the book you are like what. Kind of funny because he did it to himself but what is going to happen. I cannot wait to see what will happen.

I really love all of the characters in this book. It was I really love how all the female characters with different and how old the male characters were different as well. I love how Beck took into consideration that even though there was going to be a age difference between him and Jordan he still respected her wishes and saw that she really was the real deal and not a fake and phony as hes dealt with in the past. As much as he wanted to deny his feelings for her he just couldn’t even though he wanted to be very responsible and make sure he knew there was something special in a girl named Jordan.

Wow! I really enjoyed the start to this series. Ali Dean is a wonderful writer that pulls you into the story and keeps you intrigued until the very end. Jordan is a skateboarder and moves to California for college. There she meets Beck and Griffin, both are kind of celebrities in the skateboarding world. There is definite chemistry between Jordan and Beck but his push and pull is frustrating. This book leaves you anxiously waiting for the next one for sure.

This one started out slow for me. I just wasn’t connecting with Jordan. I was so hoping we would get another POV too and that happened at Chapter 5. Once the boys started coming in to the story I was hooked. The more skateboarding and interacting with other characters, the more I connected with and liked Jordan. Jordan is a great skater but she doesn’t want spotlight. Jordan’s a down to earth girl who just loves to skate. She’s not into skating to catch or guy or male money. To her skating is her therapy, I so loved that. Beckett (Beck) and Griffin are skaters that Jordan has looked up too. Now there paths have crossed. Griffin want Jordan to be the female face of his new brand. Beck is finishing college before he jumps into some new opportunities. He feels a connection with Jordan but doesn’t want to start anything. I loved the connection between Jordan and Beck. Sometimes, I just wanted to shake Beck to make him see how good he and Jordan could be. i felt like we got to see Jordan grow and this one and I can’t wait to read more. So, the story doesn’t end in this one and I can’t wait to for the next one to come out.
4 1/2 Stars
Ali Dean did it again, i received my ARC copy of this book and thought om not going to enjoy a book based on skateboarding, boy was i wrong I LOVED IT, i cant wait the the next in the series.
I’m officially An Ali Dean fan now.
Great storyline and character development made this book a hot and enjoyable read!
Extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author.
An immersive experience into the exciting world of skateboarding with an antsy romantic story line which grabs you from the start.
Absolutely loved the story so far, can’t wait for the next book x
