Wham, bam, thank you ma’am? That’s my motto. There’s no room in my life for anything more complicated than a one-night stand. I’m a bodyguard. It’s easier to put my life on the line when there’s no one worrying if I’ll make it home for dinner. But then the one woman who made me want more waltzes back into my life needing my protection.Despite our explosive chemistry, we can’t go there again. What … protection.
Despite our explosive chemistry, we can’t go there again. What happened in Vegas, has to stay in Vegas.
Except the marriage vows neither of us remember.
The Brazen Duet will conclude with Still Brazen on 2/26

A new book in the Blake Security series. This is part of a duet, so be aware that there is a cliffhanger at the end of the book and I was yelling at my ereader because I wanted to know what happens next. But the next book is coming out very soon.
This the story of Oskar. He is a character I enjoyed reading about in the previous books, so I was very happy to see him starring in this book.
Like all the books in the series it is fast paced story, with lots of banter which made me laugh and also some sexy moments.
I liked Hailey a lot. She is a smart, talented, but also caring and vulnerable at the same time. And i loved her interactions with Oskar. They fit really well together.
This was such a great read. Love the storyline between Oskar and Hailey. He is assigned to be her bodyguard after she is attacked Then, we find out that Hailey knew Oskar three yeas ago in Vegas and he hurt her. Then on top of all this they find out they were married in Vegas and neither remembers this and Oskar doesn’t want to do permanent relationships. A very delightful story that sizzles ands end on a cliffhanger. I loved it
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. You’ll get thrown Back right into BS from the cry first chapter – the already very common banter and hilarious dialogues of all the guys are just a very appreciated bonus to spice up the story.
So now finally Oskar, the big/badass German, is due to find the love of his Lifetime, though that’s not quite acurate, since they already spent a weekend together a couple of years back and because Hailey is in dire need of a Security detail and Oskar’s just the one to so the Job… The thread comming from within her own family is only revealed in the last chapter and leaves you with a hige cliffhanger…
I gave this book five stars because it was fabulous. Oskar and Hailey were great together. I loved everything about them. I had high hopes for Hailey’s family but looks like I was wrong. I can’t wait for Oskar to get there and save Hailey. I can’t wait for the next book. Good job ladies!
4 stars
Despite being super annoyed about a cliffy ending I didn’t see coming (this story “ends” at 93% with a excerpt for a separate book taking up the last 7% of the book), I thoroughly enjoyed Brazen.
Oskar is a ridiculously hot and super funny bodyguard with the task of protecting his most distracting client yet…his former flame, Hailey. After a magical weekend together years ago, he did the only thing he could to protect her – he left. He never expected to see her again but he can’t escape the delicious memories of their time together. When she shows up in his office, he’s flabbergasted. She awakens something in him no one else ever has. She isn’t as pleased to see him though!
Hailey fights protection tooth and nail but after an attempt on her life, she gives in to her father’s demands to have a security team. To say she wasn’t prepared to have HIM assigned as her bodyguard is a massive understatement. After leaving her without explanation all those years ago, she’s done all she can to move on; she’s successful, driven and even tried getting married once. Unfortunately the fiance was as boring as paint drying and completely unable to please her, nothing like the zings that big Viking idiot sets off in her.
This book was adorable with some hidden surprises that made me giggle. Oskar is ridiculous, Hailey is sassy and JJ and Priya are in a class their own. Awesome cast of characters. I await the second part of this story with grabby fingers!

Oskar & Hailey have a history. One filled with explosive chemistry and sexy reminders. He takes one whiff of the perfume she wears and it all comes back. Now the million dollar question is, can her help her?
Hailey is in danger. Her father insists she gets help. She knows something is off, but cannot prove what it is. There is so much to do and so little time. Can she fit Oskar back into her life now?
This story was just an entertaining little piece. I had to absorb every page and eagerly turned each one. Plenty of surprises in store, this book has a fast pace and plenty of characters to keep you hoppin as the reader.

Finally we get Oskar’s story!! Malone Squared hit it out of the park with this one!!! Brazen is full of what I have come to anticipate from the Blake Security universe: fast paced, high intrigue, and hot sex! Brazen also offers some updates on the other members of the Blake Security universe. Hailey is more than enough of a match for Oskar. Hailey is a scent genius and a rising star in the perfume world who is a total workaholic. Oskar is the badass financial wizard that is full of off colored jokes and mischief. We find Hailey gearing up for huge event and product launch that she has been working tirelessly on. Unwittingly, Hailey is the target of an unknown assailant. In comes Blake Security to the rescue!!! There is just one problem: Hailey has history with a member of the team: Oskar. The twists and turns in Brazen are amazing to follow! So much so that by the end of the book, I was so caught up that I didn’t even realize that I was at the end! I can’t wait to read part two of this duet!
Good style, with action
This is the first part of this story mixing romance and action. I liked the style of N. Malone that I had not read for a long time. This second-chance story fascinated me, with its twists and turns, its characters with rather dark past, even if we do not know exactly why or how these old criminals are working together now.
Hailey is “nose” in her family’s perfume business, and she is responsible for her lab.
Oskar is a former criminal converted into a company specializing in protection, financial investigations and more. When Hailey is attacked, Oskar is called for to protect her, but what Hailey’s family does not know is that they had already met 3 years ago in Vegas, that they had a relationship and that suddenly Oskar, still a criminal, had gone to protect her, without explaining to her.
She hates him so. However, both struggles to avoid each other and allow their attraction to take over, despite the reasons that separated them and those that brought them together again.

The Viking finally meets his match. Oskar meets his new client. The one woman he has never been able to forget.
Hailey can’t believe the bodyguard she didn’t want is the one man she wished she could forget. She’d had a couple of close calls with muggings or were they attempted kidnapping? Whatever her father decided she needed a guard while she worked on her once-in-a-lifetime project meant to prove her worth.
So begins the reuniting of what began as a very steamy one-night-stand years ago. He knew he shouldn’t touch her or want her. She was the client. She knew she shouldn’t want him. He’d left her without a word in a hotel room after their wonderful time together.
I love the entire cast. The guys give Oskar as much grief as he’s given them as they make their relationships work. Their women are no sweet little obedient lambs. Must be something in the water because that certainly doesn’t describe the lovely Haily.
The clues as to who is the “bad guy or gal” isn’t easy to figure out. The relationship is filled with steam and stress. While I’m not a fan of cliffys, knowing in advance that each character is a multi-book story makes it easy to accept–that and the fact the stories are unbelievably good. I’ve read them all and each time I think “this one is my fave.” That holds true until I start the next. Don’t miss this one or any. The continuing story is always just a few weeks away. I’m counting them down.

Oskar is swoonworthy!
It’s taken me a while to get used to reading duets. You get so wrapped up in the first story, it’s hard to wait for the conclusion. And I can’t wait for the conclusion to this one. This can be read without reading the others in the series, but the characters are more complete if you have. It’s fun to see them all interact. Hailey is a very strong independent lead. It’s interesting to see her own insecurities when she is so capable. Oskar is swoonworthy! I loved his humor in previous books and enjoyed him as the lead in this story. I’m looking forward to learning more about his past in the second half of the duet. He and Hailey have a past. Even more than they both remember! There were a number of twists in the story that I look forward to untwisting in the second half. Another winner! I received an advance copy for an honest review.
Malone delivers a taut suspense with steamy interludes and attitudes.
Oskar and Hailey have a past and now he’s her bodyguard. The Viking must protect his perfume princess from unknown threats while trying not to fall under her spell again. This engaging plot and dialogue full of wit and attitude will keep readers turning the pages. This one will leave you breathless.
I highly recommend this book to fans of the romantic suspense genre.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a complementary copy of this book.
I found The Malones when I read the Shameless series and was first introduce to the men of Blake security and with every new duet within this world they write, I fall more and more for them and the women that bring them to their knees! In Brazen, the first book in the new The Brazen Duet, we finally get Oskar’s story.
Oskar is strong, determined and though he is a player with a past he would rather forget, he is a good man, even if he does not always believe it in himself. He enjoys what he does with Blake Security and is very good at his job. But when the one woman who ever truly mattered to him walks back into his life and is in trouble, his world is turned upside down. He walked away from her once to give her the life she deserves, can he walk away again?
Hailey comes from a privileged family and except for one amazing weekend, has lived a quiet and sheltered life. So, when her life is threatened, she has no idea who is behind it and though she has fought the imposition of security, this time she has no choice but acceptance. But when that means the one man that broke her heart would be protecting her, what is more at risk, her life or her heart? Hailey was a strong and independent woman with a touch of vulnerability.
Brazen by M. Malone and Nana Malone was full of steaminess and suspense. Who is behind the danger to Hailey? What secrets will protecting her unearth? Can Oskar keep her and his heart safe? I am loving Oskar and Hailey’s story and that ending! Cannot wait to get my hands on the second book!

This is the first of a duet, so if you don’t like cliffhangers, wait a bit for the second half!
We get a fantastic partnership here with M. and Nana Malone at the helm. All the flavor we have come to expect from Nana’s Blake Security series’ is here, and that no-nonsense high-intensity (but also true love) romance is irresistible. There’s something quite compelling about this universe.. It’s expansive, the characters diverse and very realistic, and yet you know what you’re going to get with you find out one of the guys has a love interest. Oskar and Hailey are no different, it’s just a bit of a challenge to get them back on track after a long-ago interruption in their story.
Hailey is singularly relatable in her uptight, ritualistic mannerisms. She feels like an every-girl, though by rights I also feel like she shouldn’t. Oskar, just like the rest of the Blake team, has a checkered past he’s trying to rise above and move beyond with this job. When they end up together after a tryst in Vegas, there’s no escaping the electricity between them!
I love this world and can’t wait to have some time to start at the beginning so I really have a good understanding of the history and relationships of all the characters. This is a stand-alone duet, however, and you don’t need that to enjoy Oskar and Hailey’s story!
3.5 Stars
Hailey and Oskar have a past that neither one has forgotten. When Hailey’s father hires security to protect her, she is speechless when she sees who the bodyguard is. These two have chemistry and I look forward to seeing what happens next.
When I started the book I had no clue this was part of a series. Although it is supposed to be a standalone, I felt lost for the first part of the book not knowing the supporting characters.
Another hot hit about the men from Blake Security.
Oskar is charged with guarding the one woman that still haunts his dreams; or better yet, stars in them!
Their short tryst in Vegas has left Oskar and Hailey yearning for more throughout the years. Now that Oskar has been charged with protecting Hailey, they struggle to maintain separation and professionalism. But given Oskar’s natural hotness, cockiness, and desire for Hailey, it doesn’t take long for them to pick up right where they left off in Vegas. Now they just need to figure out who is trying to kill her!
Beware….the cliffhanger is a doozy! I was stunned and left wanting more!
I read an ARC of Brazen; loved it; and willingly left this honest review.
Talk about Brazen! Oskar is a hot German viking like god with a slippery past that made him into the tough man that he is today. Hailey is a sweet, innocent workaholic about to be through out of her everyday orbit. These two have a past that is finally meeting in the present. I really enjoyed getting to know this couple. They are complete opposites in all ways yet they still work together. I went into this book knowing that it would end on a cliffhanger, though they aren’t my favorite so I wasn’t disappointed when the ending left me hanging. And to be honest I wasn’t shocked at who left me hanging. What I was shocked at was the hint of a revelation that not only the ending left me with but what I think Matthias discovered. I want to know and will be waiting not so patiently for the next book to come out. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*
Brazen by M. Malone & Nana Malone is book 1 in the Brazen Duet. This is the story of Hailey and Oskar . Oskar was once a bad guy but now works for Blake Security and is moving forward with his life. But he doesn’t plan on settling down…and the only time he thought he wanted more was when he and Hailey had their hot encounter years ago. But he sneaked out the next morning knowing that his life was to dangerous for her. Now in the present day, her father has hired Blake Security to protect Hailey. Those old feelings are coming back for him and the hurt he left her with is still a sore spot for her. But this book only starts their renewed feelings they are still having to look for who is out to harm Hailey…can’t wait for the next book in this story.

Happy reading!
Malone Squared has done it again! I don’t know how these ladies come up with these fabulous characters, but I am here for it! Brazen is the latest book in the Blake Security series and once again, does not disappoint. Oskar and Hailey are dynamite together (literally). As with all their duets, this is a cliff hanger, so prepare to be shocked, awed, and anticipate the finale with baited breath, I know I am.
ARC received for honest review.
I loved getting to know Oskar and Hailey’s stories. Oskar’s humor was kind of annoying in previous books from the Blake Security Series. Needless to say I feel he uses is a defense mechanism, I could be wrong. I found Oskar to be loyal, protective and sarcastic. Hailey is OCD, loyal, controlling and loves her family. In my opinion M. Malone and Nana Malone did it again, they gave suspense, steam and twist. As for the twist I had that figured out, that was okay wit me, but I have a feeling there might be a twist coming in Still Brazen. In my opinion M. Malone and Nana Malone did not disappoint. This had characters from previous books, but in my opinion you don’t necessarily need to read them, even though I thoroughly recommend reading them. Brazen does end in a cliffhanger. I believe Still Brazen comes out in February. That’s not to far away. In my opinion Brazen lives up to the Blake Security stories. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance reader’s copy.
