Not disappointed in this story. Events and outcome were realistic but were not obviously predicted. In other words, didn’t see “that” coming. Wonderfully written with romanticism and surprise outcomes.

Brazen Angel is an awesome historical romance by Elizabeth Boyle. Ms. Boyle has provided us with a well-written book. The characters are amazing. Giles is on the hunt for London’s notorious Brazen Angel, not aware that she’s the same woman he’s soon to wed. Sophia plays the part of the Brazen Angel to steal from her targets. Giles and Sophia’s story is packed with drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. I enjoyed reading Brazen Angel and look forward to reading more from Elizabeth Boyle soon. Brazen Angel is book 1 of the Brazen Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

This book is the first book of the Brazen Trilogy. It is filled with Suspense, Romance, lots of twists and turns and is so action packed that it keeps you turning those pages quickly. The story is set in the French Revolution Era.
Giles Corliss, Lord Trahern, is an undercover British Agent who has been betrothed to Lady Sophia d’Artiers, by his father on his deathbed.
Sophia leads a double life, one as a fragile, sickly miss and the other as the beautiful, seductress known as the Brazen Angel. With one look and smell the Brazen Angel can get you to follow her anywhere. Sophia is stealing from the most fluently, rich-aristocrats to raise money to free her family from the Guillotine.
Unbeknownst to both as being betrothed, they are attracted to each other and find that each has met their own match. Giles is on the search for the person who has betrayed his friend and co-worker, Webb. While on the hunt to find out the identity of the Brazen Angel he pieces together the clues and finds out that she is involved with the betrayal of Webb.
This story carries you along with lots of suspenseful, twists and turns that allows us to read how these two who are full of themselves but love with their whole hearts can unravel the path to their own HEA.

Loved the characters, the danger, and attraction between the two main characters. As the layers of the story were revealed, I fell under the book’s spell more and more.

I loved how Lady Sophia played the Brazen Angel to get money or jewels to save people from prison. Little did Giles know when he first met her who she was. He never got to meet her without a mask or something to hide her face. But he eventually gets involved and tries to save her and her family. And protect her family name.I would recommend to anyone who loves historical romances.

I enjoy reading Elizabeth Boyle’s novels. Her writing is often clever, her characters have personality, and her women are strong. Here, the ‘brazen angel’ is fighting to save her family from the guillotine, so there are a few ‘scary’ scenes (although the reader knows that all will be well, of course). This is one of her lesser books, however, as most of the plot developments started to seem repetitive.

Brazen Angel was an interesting book, the reason it didn’t rate more stars is that is kind of dragged on about the heroines trials and travails. She was always going to France to rescue her family. Not sure how realistic that was, and it bothered me a little. It was worth reading an I have purchased the other books in the series.

I read a lot of historical romances and this one was not bad. It seemed to be short and not a lot of content.

I found this book a bit of a yawn in the beginning but it does get better as you go. Its a romance and an adventure of sorts. I don’t want to be harsh but for me it was just okay. Not sure I really warmed to the characters.

An absolutely delightful story of love and loving that takes the reader right into the heart of the French Revolution and gives you an insight as to what could possibly have occurred.
The two main characters play a wonderful cat and mouse game with each other and it has been written in a way that keeps you guessing from scene to scene.
Full of surprises, twists and turns, good wit and a page turner of note.
I loved and totally enjoyed this book.
