For the last several years, Brayden felt like an outcast amongst his friends.Since the day he saw a man shift into a wolf, he knew he no longer belonged in their circle. They were immersed in the paranormal world while he was away at college, living the life of an ordinary human. One night while he was walking home, he saw a dog in need of help. Turns out, it wasn’t a dog at all.Kandra was a wolf … wasn’t a dog at all.
Kandra was a wolf shifter on the run.
She’d fled an abusive relationship, running from a male she once thought she could trust. As a lone wolf, she was free, but she was also slowly dying.
Pack life wasn’t something Kandra wanted, and she never thought she’d trust another male. Yet, she trusted Brayden. In him, she found the opportunity to join a new pack—shifters who would be there when she needed them.
But the past came calling, and they would take back what was theirs.
Kandra’s life was in danger and Brayden would do whatever it took to keep his mate safe, including asking a vampire to bite him. His new life was extraordinary—because she was in it.
With his vampire given powers, Brayden was ready to fight for the one he loved. Now all he had to do was find her.

5 Brayden Filled Stars!!!
OMG Michelle Dare did it again!!! She wrote another grand-slam. I’ve been waiting for Brayden to get his story since the very beginning of The Ariane Trilogy . It was totally worth the wait!!!
Brayden is living in New York while going to college. Ever since his best friends Ari & Paige fell in love with wolves and moved into the Avynwood pack house he’s felt like an outsider. Even though Ari, Paige and everybody in the Avynwood pack reminds him that he’s part of their family.
Brayden stays on campus during holiday break. Walking home one night he comes across a bunch of guys beating up a dog. Brayden stops them and the minute he looks into the eyes of the dog he realized it’s no dog but a wolf.
Brayden convinces the Wolf to comeback to his apartment to heal, get rest and food. He doesn’t know anything other then they’re a wolf but he feels a connection to them nonetheless.
When he wakes up the wolf is gone. Ari shows up when he calls and decides to go looking for this lone wolf. Ari promises Brayden she’ll look out for the wolf.
Kendra doesn’t have any family. When she lost those closest to her she was taken in by a pact.
Kendra and the rest of the women in the pact were treated horribly. They were told when to eat, sleep, talk and everything else. They were also used against their will as the men saw fit.
Kendra was finally able to plan her escape but she’s very weak, scared and is very underweight. She needs to eat and sleep and hideout. When she’s attacked she doesn’t fight back.
Then Brayden showed up saved her and gave her a place to sleep. She doesn’t trust anybody ESP men but there was something about him that both her and her wolf trusted completely.
Ari showed up and told Kendra she had a place she could go and be safe her options were limited but she trusted Brayden and he trusted Ari, so Kendra went.
Kendra didn’t want to be in a pact after what she just went through. When she met Aries, the alpha of the Avynwood pact he offered her protection and a place in his pact if she ever wanted it.
Kendra knew she had a lot of healing mentally to do. But, she wanted to get to know Brayden. And, gradually meet other members wolves, vampires and fae of the Avynwood pact.
Brayden felt strongly for Kendra. He was very protective of her. So much that he took up the Verascue brothers on letting them gift him powers in order to keep him and Kendra safe. Just in time bc Kendra’s past has returned.
Once I started this I didn’t put it down. This is as amazing as the previous in this series and The Ariane Trilogy .
It has all the previous characters and their greatness. The way the Paranormals look and treat Brayden as one of their own was great. I don’t know how he felt like an outsider bc they never looked or treated him as one not once.
The Solomon/Ford banter the back and forth greatness is still here and great as before lol.
Michelle set up our next charter Titus. And, Kendra and Titus’s connection was OMG YAYYYYY!!!! I legit didn’t see that coming.
Like I said this is another grand slam winner for Michelle!!! Can’t wait for Titus. I’m also keeping my fingers crossed Brayden’s roommate gets a mate in the paranormal world. He definitely fits into this world.
I’ve been anxiously waiting for Brayden’s book since the beginning of the series. It was a long wait but we’ll worth it.
An absolutely fantastic fast pace engaging page turner that will draw you in from the first page and hold you captivated until the end! It is well written, emotionally deep, heart breaking, funny, and is quite enjoyable with suspense, twists and turn, and danger. Likeable characters with amazing chemistry between them. Definitely recommended!

Brayden is a human, but nonetheless the local pack of mixed paranormals in his hometown sees him as one of theirs. Away at college he makes new, human friends. But one night he comes across a wolf-shifter who needs help. Kendra, abused by her own pack, can hardly believe that nice people exist. But she finds out what true friendship and a good pack will do for their own.
A good story line, well-written and a nice blend of romance, suspension and psychology.

Love this entire series and have been waiting for Brayden’s story the human that new far too much about the paranormal world
When he rescues a stray dog he has no idea that he is actually rescuing Kendra his fated mate She has been running from a pack and the male that would destroy her while he claimed her and living as a lone wolf was slowly killing her. Who would believe that it would be a human that would take her to pack that would have her back and give her the life she wanted But her past is catching up to her and Brayden will have to make a huge sacrifice if he is to keep her safe Do they have a future together You will have to read to see
The characters are well developed and engaging and the storyline has everything and more that a great read has to have to make the storyline flow smoothly.

It’s taken me a few days to write this review, I haven’t been able to come up with the words to do it justice. I love everything that Michelle Dare writes especially if it’s got anything to do with the Avynwood Pack and extra Paranormals.
I have been waiting some what patiently for Brayden to get his book ever since the Ariane Trilogy, but to be honest I was a little disappointed. Now having said that, it’s not because I didn’t enjoy the book it’s just I didn’t seem to feel it like the previous books in the Paranormals of Avynwood. It could have had something to do with the fact that I have been reading dark Paranormals and my mind was in that genre. But here are the few things I was a little disappointed with, firstly Brayden seemed to be too much of a softy and whiner always saying he didn’t fit in or that he wasn’t good enough, sorry but when he was on his own in NY he just seemed to be a bit up himself but then would go all sookie when back with anyone from the pack. Yes I understand he did feel inadequate compared to the Paranormals but no one ever made him feel different. The other thing was the whole powers transferred to him, I feel like too many of the mated couples are getting vampire powers and being over powered for no reason. Again I understand that there was life risking situations but the powers are being transferred around like the common flu. Having said all this I’m hoping when I go to do a re read down the track my feels may change as I have been reading about strong, independent alpha males. Like I said earlier I love Michelle’s writing and have never had any problems with them in the past.
Ever since his best friends Ari and Paige found their mates and became part of the paranormal world, Brayden has felt out of place, he desperately wants to fit in. Moving to New York to go to college he’s trying to get his MBA and find he’s own piece of happiness in life and maybe find “the one”.
Over the holiday break while out one night to get something to eat, Brayden comes across a dog being taunted by some guys, scaring off the bullies he notices that the dog is actually a wolf shifter. Seeing that the shifter is scared and weak he offers it some warm and food in his apartment.
Kandra doesn’t trust males but something about Brayden makes her feel like she isn’t in danger with him, having no other choice she follows Brayden back to his appartment, but looses consciences. Kendra has been victimised by her pack and is now a lone wolf on the run. Her story is emotional and devastating. After awaken in Brayden’s apartment she knows she must leave again, only to run into one of the bullies from the night before.
This story is full of betrayal, friendship, love, and new beginnings. Even thought this book is a little heavy to read there is humour from our favourite Vampire brothers that will have you chuckling at the most inappropriate of times.
Emotionally thrilling, sexy, fun, action packed adventure filled with engaging and exciting charters, witty banter, heart racing twists and a pack of chosen family with huge hearts you can’t help but love…… Really enjoyed this long awaited journey!
Brayden Return is a heartfelt and heartwarming story. Its a wonderful well written story. It has a good storyline. I truly enjoyed reading about these two characters Brayden and Kandi. Its a page turner and kept my interest throughout the story.
I read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are of my own.
Book five in the Paranormals of Avynwood series, and the first book in this series that I have read. I now want to read the other books in this series. Brayden and Kandra’s story has suspense, drama, danger, twists, turns, villains, and romance. I found myself laughing as I read, some sleepover! By now I know my quirks and when I am into a series and know the next one comes you will find me in it. With that being said I got into this one. With Brayden coming back it is not the kind you would think is going to go done. This is a different type with him finding his reason with that being Kandra. She has her own hurdles also but things will escalate when least expected with twists and turns that will have you blinking like a deer who could be the next meal. Romance being deep in this with love doing whatever it takes leaving us panting at the last page.
Brayden is a human who has paranormal friends. He knows about their world and, not an actual part of it, he feels like an outsider. He goes off to college, but hasn’t found “the one” yet. One evening on his way home, he saw a starving “dog” that is actually a wolf shifter. Kandra had run away from an abusive situation and doesn’t know who to trust. But when trouble comes back for Kandra, Brayden will keep her safe no matter what he has to do. She is not alone now, and her new family is ready to stand up for her.
This story was good and the author handled Kandra’s abuse story very well. The emotions are engaged, not only in seeing what Kandra went through, but in seeing her finally find a connection with Brayden. They have a difficult path to travel, yet there is strength in them and they just may make it to their HEA. Grab your copy and see how the story resolves for them.
Brayden’s was first introduced to us in the Arianne trilogie as one of her friends. I was really happy that he gets also his story.
In Brayden’s return, after the christmas party at the Avynwood pack mansion, he felt really lonely. Both his friends, Ary and Paige are maried to their mate. One night he saw a dog that need help. But after helping it he saw that it wasn’t a dog. It was a wolf, a shifter.
Kandra, a wolf shifter, was on the run. Fleeing from an abusive relationship from a male she tough she could trust. Now she’s both lonely and slowly is dying. She didn’t think she could ever trust a male again, but after Brayden save her, she felt a connection to him and him to her as well.
But Kandra not safe yet. Her former pack alpha wants her back. Brayden will do anything to keep her safe and his willing to fight.
I have really love Brayden and Kandra story. Made me cry at some point in the book.

I love this book! I am so glad that Braden finally found love and a mate! I love Brayden and Kendra together and their story is fantastic! This book brings the emotion and I was excited to see all the Avynwood characters again! I cannot wait to see who’s story is next!
I was so happy to see Brayden got his own story. Brayden a human is best friends with Ari and Paige and has been friends since childhood. Brayden was feeling so left out and like an outcast among his friends and any paranormal. He moves to New York to go to college and live that experience only to find an abused dog, that has been backed into an alley. One look in this dog’s eyes and Brayden realize its a wolf shifter. Never seeing the human form of Kandra, the wolf he saves, he still this overprotecting strong connection to her. With the help of Ari, they nourish Kandra with food and shelter, but Kandra is abused has and been from her past boyfriend and his entire pack. She trustest no one and is really frightened of any and all males. Brayden just can’t let these feelings go and fight to make Kandra feel loved.
This one was a slower read, Kandra and Brayden’s relationship was such a sweet inst-love but it still just took time to develop. I just knew he was going to be an amazing boyfriend someday, and he did not disappoint. This book was darker than some of the past reads due to the abuse that Kandra went through. I thought the climax was kind of a letdown, there wasn’t a ton of detail. I loved meeting new characters and revisiting old friends
Brayden knew that there were paranormal people because 2 of his friends were mated. They always tried to make Brayden feel at home but since he didn’t have an animal inside, he felt alone. One night he helped a wolf that was being attacked, he saved Kandra. His one friend found her after she left to go back into hiding her ex was a douche and beat her up a lot. Brayden got some vampire powers to help him save Kandra since he didn’t want to lose his mate. Everything worked out great!
I have been hoping for Brayden’s story since we first met him in the Ariane Trilogy. He is such an unwavering friend that makes you want to just hug him to reassure him that he does belong. But what Dare gives us in his story is just so much more! I absolutely adore how Kandra came into his life. How they bonded. Their connection. Everything. Between the fluidity of this story and its one of a kind concept, I devoured this book in hours. The most amazing part of this story is how much this interconnects with each other. The love of the friendship between them all that have been involved in this series.
Brayden is just swoon worthy as he takes in everything that is happening with him once Kandra enters his life. He is so fierce and protective, you would swear he was a shifter! With Kandra, with all the pain she has endured to get to Brayden, my heart aches. She is such a fighter but so broken at the same time. How she grows and rebuilds herself was amazing. How the connection between her and Brayden deepens. Add in your classic Ari and Paige who, while very protective of Brayden, embraces Kandra as one of their own. It was honestly pure magic.
Overall, this book is an amazing addition to the Avynwood series. I laughed, I cried, I swooned. It is absolutely amazing. Between the connection of Brayden and Kandra, the silly quips of Ford and Sol, the love that exudes from the rest of the pack, this one has absolutely everything you need and more. I beg of you, if you love YA PNR, this book, this series, is the best out there. You cannot help but fall in love with this shifter and paranormal world that Dare has created!
Brayden has been best friends with Ari and Paige for years. He felt left out now that they are a part of the paranormal world and he’s not. Walking home one night, he sees a group of men picking on a dog down the alley. He rescues the dog, but when he looks into it’s eyes, he realizes it’s not a dog but a wolf shifter. Trying to help this paranormal, he takes it back to his apartment.
Kandra is on the run and hungry. She doesn’t have the energy to fight off the men when a stranger stops them. She’s caught with no where to go but with this stranger.
I’ve been waiting for Brayden’s story. I couldn’t wait to see who he was fated with. What a journey these two have been on. I was hooked to their story. Felt anger at Kandra’s abuse. Michelle hits this story out of the park. I love this series and fall more in love with each book she writes. The epilogue, hysterical!!
I tried so hard to pace myself reading this book so I could savor it, but the Michelle Dare effect happened again and I just ended up absolutely devouring it in a matter of hours. Nothing could have gotten me to put this book down. Just when I think we’ve seen the best from the Avynwood Pack in comes Brayden to show me that indeed, it does get even better.
He has grown into such an incredible man since we first met him. The kindness that radiates from him is just astounding and is exactly what is needed by his mate. Honestly these two are one of my favorite couples in the series. There’s a quiet sweetness to their love that is no less breathtaking than the fiery passion of their friends and that really REALLY spoke to me.
Of course I also absolutely loved getting to spend time with everyone entirely while reading this, like always this tight knit family is ever present to be there and support Brayden and his mate. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book!
