She’s given up on love, but this alien hasn’t given up on her… won’t take no for an answer and shows up night after night at the restaurant where she works. It’s enough to wear a girl down, make her doubt her convictions, maybe hope that love can conquer the heartbreak of the past…
Dakonian Braxx is a simple man with simple needs: find a good woman and have a big family. With females in short supply on his planet, he heads for Earth through the Intergalactic Dating Agency. The instant he meets Holly Hansen, his horns begin to throb, and he realizes she’s the ONE. His Fated Mate. He can’t wait to settle down with her and make beautiful babies together. Unfortunately, she doesn’t seem to recognize they’re meant to be together. But he didn’t come this far to give up easily, and he hopes that with patience and baby steps, he’ll win her heart.
Just when it seems he’ll succeed, Holly’s past comes back to haunt them. Can a heartbreak be too deep for love to fix?

Was so glad Braxx got his own story‼ Couldn’t wait to see what kind of “LOGICAL” conclusions he’d come up with to woo his fated mate. Gotta’ say, he SURPRISED me. Sly one.
The story has more depth than expected. It’s about adoption, the unfulfilled desire to have children and finding real love.
The nice thing about fantasy is that you can still work miracles here. There is a really nice happy ending.
I liked the vunerability in the male lead.
This storyline has a bit of a variation from the norm to it. The hero is a sweetheart, but not quite an all knowing alpha. Nice to see love growing.
Even though I think this is the best book of the series, you should read the previous books in this series. It took a lot of patience for Braxx to get Holly to agree to a date with her background. Holly had a bad experience with an ex-fiance which left her unable to have children. She knew all Dakoians came to Earth for mates and kits. She fought her attraction to Braxx but, in the end, she fell in love anyway. A little boy named Anthony came into their lives and hearts and helped to bring them together. OBAH!
Endearing characters.
This is another wonderful book by this talented author. Braxx is an emotional, intriguing and heartwarming story. It has endearing characters with great chemistry. There is humor, misunderstandings and heat in this sweet story. I would definitely recommend it.
Poor Brax, Holly really gave him a run for his love. The misunderstanding about Holly’s condition had me giggling but the best part was that Brax truly did not care. Anthony was such a cute character. This is a story that will make you smile from beginning to end.
This was my favorite so far. I love a story about foster children and the system. Braxx was so endearing and sexy. Holly is the friend you always wanted. Super sweet. I highly recommend. Love the new aliens introduced. Love the cameos.
Braxx uses the Intergalactic Dating Agency to find a mate and it fails. The woman is self centered. They have an argument and she leaves. He goes to get something to eat and sees Holly. He recognizes his mate right away. Holly has given up on love and guys. When she meets Braxx, she finds him attractive and he reminds her of her ex. She resists him. Braxx has his work cut out for him to win her over. An awesome story and addition to the series. I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.
The fireworks were visible from across the room. Braxx found his fated mate, but the little spitfire wants nothing to do with him… until he played by a new set of rules. I met both Braxx and Holly in the last book and knew we were in for some sparks before this pair found their way to love. Just as good as the house’s best entree.
Braxx is the sixth in the Dakonian Alien Mail Order Brides series of standalones that do have a connection to previous stories in the series and the previous Alien Mates series.
Braxx’s brother, Kord, had to work hard to get his mate to accept him and he would do the same. He has no intentions of giving up on Holly, but after a year of trying to court her and her banning him from the barbecue restaurant where she works, he has to face the fact that he can’t make her like him. But, then his brother, sister in law, and a cute, squalling little baby niece give him the chance he needs.
Holly has been resisting Braxx for so long- he reminded her of her smarmy, unloyal ex, from the first big smile and show of confidence. But, her victory in getting him to leave her be feels hollow when he stops coming to the restaurant and now seems content to be just friends right when she discovers that he’s vulnerable, sweet, and generous the way he helps at an elementary school, joins a big brother mentoring program with a foster kid, and works when he doesn’t have to. Barb tried to get her to give him a chance and now it’s too late, right?
This was another heartwarming story wrapped in a sexy sci-fi romance. Braxx came to earth wanting simply to find his own mate and maybe have a chance at a family since his chances of that were not good back on his home planet He’s unpretentious, honest, and prefers simple pleasures. What was Holly thinking, you ask? Well, she had a bad experience with her ex and carries a secret sorrow that she thinks would keep any male from wanting her so she resists any show of interest so she can’t be hurt again. It was a case of her seeing so clearly what was good for Barb and Kord, but unable to see her own great opportunity with Braxx even with Barb’s coaxing. It was fun to see the antics Braxx went to in winning her over and the adorable way he took up with a foster child and learned to give him care and love rather than just wallow because Holly was giving him a run for his money.
Dare I hope that intriguing Alor might get his story or even that sweethearted Kaylie who appeared briefly.
I love these and do not hesitate to recommend them for those looking for sexy, light sci-fi romance with heart.
Braxx has been after Holly since he went Babie Q’s, she’s his fated mate with horns swelling and vibrating. But Holly wants nothing to do with him, her past experience wont allow it. Braxx decides to play the rules differently and before he knows it Holly says yes; but that’s not the end for them. There’s more on the horizon for the HEA. This series is a must read and honestly I loved them all so far!
I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC.
It was a pleasure to read this outstanding, entertaining Sci-fi alien romance. The plot is delightfully well-written & has vivid descriptions, it is full of intriguing surprises. The characters are well developed with attributes of determination & have undeniable chemistry. There are character crossovers but this book can be read as a standalone.
There is: a young woman (Holly) with devastating memories of betrayal comes into contact with a Dakonian male (Braxx) who is determined to court & claim her, Holly’s friend (Barb) who has been claimed by Braxx’s brother (Cord), their cute little baby/kit (Clemmy), a despicable ex (Addison), a foster child (Anthony), a caring alien (Alar), mild twists & turns, intrigue, some suspense, humor, mystery, secrets, fated mates, attractions, medical issues, insecurities, confusion, misunderstandings, determination, well-meaning advice, disagreements, decisions, manipulations, surprises, disbelief, happiness, some steam & a sweet, happy conclusion. I enjoyed reading this Sci-Fi alien romance and would recommend it.
What’s a determined Alien to do when he finds his mate but she won’t entertain the idea? He uses his baby niece as Kryptonite! LOL
Braxx wants Holly but for the life of him he can’t figure out what he has done to upset/anger/annoy her. His brother is married to her best friend, they both love little Clem. He is a good male, good with children and small animals. So what is wrong with him?
Holly knows it’s unfair to tar Braxx with the same handsome as sin, grin that could met panties, brush as her ex fiancee. But one brush with a self serving playboy was more than enough. Being dumped for infertility issues that HE caused, well that’s enough to out anyone off men! But Braxx is sweet, gentle, caring, loving and he might just wear her down eventually!
I loved that eventually Braxx wore down Holly’s grade A defences and gave him a go. Sadly one little miscommunication by him, one little assumption by her and everythign could fall apart.
I loved gettign a ee reviist with the other Dakonians! Add in sweet little Anthony and baby Clemmie, and you got yourself a heartwarming, feel-good read! I really want a certain transparent anthopologist to get his own book, or at least appear in more! And the latest victim of the odious ex of Holly? She REALLY needs some alien hotness!
Delightfully entertaining!
I must say, Braxx is certainly persistent. He’s been working to get Holly on a date for over a year. It’s time for a change in strategy. Braxx is such a sweetie! He’s helping out with young children, being a Big Brother to a needy boy. Best of all, he treats women with respect, but has eyes for only one.
Holly is at a disadvantage; she doesn’t have the ‘instant’ mate recognition. I do like her, even though she has some pretty deep insecurities. I love watching the two of them dancing around each other when Braxx changes his approach. Fun to see! And with a bit of help from some friends, a super-fine conclusion!
Holly is convinced that the best thing to do is push the sexy Braxx away. She can’t give him the one thing he wants, the reason he came to Earth in the first place. So why does it hurt so much?
Braxx has been trying to get Holly to go out with him for a year. He can’t, won’t give up now. No matter what she says, he knows with everything he is that she’s his mate.
When love and a special big brother relationship to a foster child blooms, it all seems to good to be true.
When Holly’s past comes calling, will their love be enough to hold them together, or will past feelings and misunderstandings tear them apart?
I really like the IDA stories. Braxx is a sweetheart. I wish Holly would have had a different view of her self worth. But, it all worked into a very sweet HEA.
