The challenges of setting up a new MC were huge, but Braxton Callahan knew the rewards would be worth the hard work that he and his brothers were putting in. Relocating to Corinth, Texas had been interesting to say the least, but they wanted to live in a town where the businesses they were starting would help revitalize the area. A single father to Lily, a precocious six-year old, he longed to … find the woman who would complete his family.
When Caraleigh Jensen moves in next door with her little boy Luca, who is the same age as Lily, he finds himself drawn to the widowed single mother.
Change isn’t always bad and it isn’t always good. Follow along as Braxton and his brothers continue to rebuild the town while he works to woo the woman his heart says is his.

Love everything about this book, the fact that it’s a cleaner version of any MC books I’ve read, that’s what made it unique and different in it’s own way, loved it, I would definitely recommend this MC SERIES, I’m giving this book 5 stars.
This is the first book in a new series from this talented writing duo. Braxton is a single dad to his little daughter, and when widowed single mom Caraleigh moves in next door with her little boy, there is an instant connection. This is a well written story which is filled with love and protective alphas, which all had me hooked and intrigued throughout, and I look forward to reading more in this series.
Wow! This is not your typical MC story, it was a breath of fresh air. No violence, no club girls and no back and forth with their feelings. This was two people who have had it a little rough, they meet and develop a friendship between neighbors, and not to mention are both attracted to one another. Braxton and Caraleigh have amazing chemistry, they do move at a fast pace but it’s enduring to see. This book gripped my heart from the beginning and filled me with warmth at the end. Can’t wait to read Hatchet’s story. Ms. Parker outdid herself with this beautiful love story.
Highly recommend!
I am a HUGE MC fan, so with that said, I found this to be just okay. It was a great premise, a new MC on the good side(not 1%er’s) but it just didn’t have the real grab my attention hold that other MC books do. I liked Braxton and Caraleigh, but I wished I could have felt a more natural and flowing chemistry between them. I’m all for an insta-love story, this one just missed the mark for me. I will read the next books and i’m hopeful that i will love them!
So this is a new author and series for me. I didn’t know what to expect when I picked this up. The story was good, full of cute moments with the kiddos. You got to see how Braxton and Caraleigh interact with each other, their kids and the brothers in the club. I don’t think I’ve read a MC from the beginning. I forgot that the little things that needs that need tweaked in the beginning. The truck company is going strong, so much so they need more drivers. You can tell how close the brothers are and how close family means to me. The thing that got me was.. things move very fast with them. I mean they weren’t together all that much before their was talk of marriage, adopting, putting his cut on her and getting a new house. I feel like they just rushed into things. I get that when you know you met the one,you want to spend all the time in the world with them and move on in life. I also realize that she had a rocky marriage before and things are different now.. While I liked Cara and Braxton, I just felt like some things were added that didn’t need to be. Oh and I felt like the way the kids talked were possibly younger then their ages. I mean Luca was a year old and he was still kinda baby talking. It didn’t settle well with me. This book was good and it was a good start to this series. I’m excited to read book 2 and get to know DJ and Hatchet a little better.
The first of the Rebel Guardians MC gives us a nice introduction to everyone in the club, and starts off with Braxton’s story. As the president of the MC, Braxton has put everyone else before him and his needs last. Tired of being on the road so much, he knows a change is due, he just wasn’t expecting the change to be in the form of his new neighbor. New in town, and wanting a fresh start, Caraleigh and her son, Luca, are going to make the best of this. Meeting Braxton is just the icing on the cake in making this move even better. Now the two just have to figure out how they fit into each other’s world.
This is a hard review to write, if I ignore what bothered me then I can give this 4 stars. Unfortunately that would be almost half the book. The way the kids spoke really drove me crazy and I ended up just changing everything in my head and correcting their speech and speech patterns. Putting an S at the end of most of their words just makes them sound dumb, not childish. This was a really tame MC read, super sweet insta-love, that moved at the speed of light, with very little drama and just ok naughty bits. There are some editing issues, I’m still not sure if there is a Chef and a Chief or if that is the same person. I give this 3.5 stars.
raxton Callahan is the President of the Rebel Guardians MC. When new neighbor Caraleigh Jensen moves in with her son Luca, Braxton knows she is the one for him. He is the father of a daughter Lily and between his mother, their kids it is only a matter of time before they are living in one household. The only problem is Caraleigh’s former husbands parents who want Luca for their own.
I liked this, a bit angsty but was what I was in the mood to read. There are some pretty funny moments and the book flows well. Liked Braxton he is a bit of a caveman which makes for a good read
Loved it!
I’ve read and loved books by both authors, but this is the first collaboration between the two of them. I have to say, they knocked this one out of the park! Everything that I love about their books are combined into one amazing story! This isn’t like the majority of MC romances out there today. This is an MC story, but without all of the MC drama that usually comes with them. This MC is more of a family, more of a support system, not only for the members, but for the community as well. It’s hopeful, and uplifting, and just an amazing feel-good story!
Braxton and Caraleigh both have had bad relationships. But that doesn’t stop the instant attraction, the instant knowledge that there is just….something there. I love how Braxton is with his little girl, and the way he treats Caraleigh is totally swoon-worthy! The acceptance he shows to Cara’s little boy melts my heart. And the way those kids are together is so sweet!
This is such a great book! I’d recommend it to anyone that is looking for a story that will put them in a good mood. So far, it’s not connected to any other books, but the authors have left it open for future releases. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
