WOW WOW WOW…what a freaking amazing f-ing story! I cringed, screamed, cried, “aahhed” and cheered! That ending was “the bomb”. I’m trying to figure out how to give this the best freaking review ever but the words escape me. I am so very honored to have been a part of the ARC team reading this series. This was my favorite in the series.
The twists and turns in this suspenseful romance read will have you glued to the pages as each shattering moments keeps its reader mesmerized. Mind blowing events, with a romance that appears in spite of the turmoils made for some unforgettable loving. I loved the characters and well written storyline that does not disappoint. My first read of the series but not the last as this is a must read for some fantastic heart shattering suspense romance.
Bravery’s Sin, is book five in the Masters’ Admiralty Series, but can be read as a stand-alone. Bravery’s Sin grab your attention and makes you not want to put it down until the end.
This romance/suspense story has many of the twists and turns you come to expect from a Mari Carr/ Lilia Dubois story. This a definite not miss for anyone who loves a romance / suspense story.
This book absolutely blew me out of the water. I picked up this books after work, and the next thing I knew, it was 2 am, and I was starving because I had thought of nothing besides the Master Admiralty for so many hours! With each new story in this series, I think that they can’t possible get better, but the do. Each new story adds to the mystery, to the heat, to the bigger story that is the Masters Admiralty, and I have to admit to reading the entire Trinity Masters/Masters Admiralty saga more than once. It’s everything I love in a series. Romance, intrigue, danger. Absolutely amazing.
This is usually the part that I’d give a short synopsis, or some details about my feelings about the characters, but I’m not going to do that this time. I don’t want to give anything away, so I’m just going to say that the characters have had a rough time of it, and it doesn’t look like their lives will get better, but never say never! (this is a romance, after all, and a HEA is a requirement!)
Bravery’s Sin took everything that I loved from the previous books, and increased that by a hundred fold. There is more danger and intrigue, more of the impossible relationship, more surprises, more heat, and more love. I laughed, I cried, and my heart almost pounded out of my chest in some places. This book is an absolute must read for fans of the series, and the entire series is a must read for anyone that loves an amazing story.
OooooooMmmmmmGeeeeeee…this series is fantastic but this book takes 1st place for twists and turns, mind bending evilness, heart shattering events, yet a love can evolve even during the madness…I truly never saw this coming
SPOILER FREE REVIEW.
I just finished reading Bravery’s Sin, and I cannot stop thinking about it. I’ll start by saying that this was another beautifully-written addition to the Trinity Masters and Masters’ Admiralty books. Every one of these books contain enough twists and turns to keep me guessing, but this book is truly extraordinary and is most definitely a page-turner. I actually put a piece of paper in front of my kindle to read one line at a time, because I didn’t want to get ahead of myself. Lila Dubois and Mari Carr are queens of romantic suspense. I was on the edge of my seat the majority of this book, and quite a few tears were shed.
We met Dr. Nyx Kata and Grigoris Violaris previously, but I will not spoil the identity of the third person in this trinity. Bravery’s Sin is the most unexpected story in either the TM or MA books and contains the most unexpected trinity, to date. As I surmised, there are several dangling treads at the end of the book. That just means that more books are coming, which makes me both happy and anxious.
There is too much backstory, so don’t read Bravery’s Sin as a stand-alone. But do yourself a favor and catch up with all the Trinity Masters and Masters’ Admiralty stories, so you can fully enjoy this incredible, complex, breathtaking tale.
Oh, this is a hard one to review. It was action packed, it had twists and turns, a forbidden, doomed affair, and was a romantic suspense of the highest calibre. Nyx and Grigoris have so much to do, are so close to figuring it all out, if they can stay out of harm’s way. Secrets, lies, and histories are revealed, giving way to present circumstances. Danger is everywhere, unknown foes and enemies at every turn. Yet, the fragility of humans and their emotions is the running thread. The joy, the pain, the worry, the love, we feel for our fellow beings, strokes and envelopes you as the story unfolds
I sit her bleary eyed and stuffed up from crying, and yet, I’m hopeful for the future in this series for the characters. The mantra of no, no, no, no, it can’t be, hit me about 54% of the way in, and coloured everything after that. Have the tissues ready, there is no way around it. Even when things made me smile, it was a constant there in the background. It causes so much, and a couple things made me flinch and grimace, but they made sense in the face of this tragedy. They made sense in the face of the hope needed. They made sense in love, sexual and friendship, that caused the pain, and the healing, needed
This is a hard book to review because it will linger and stay with me. It caused so many emotions, and the happily ever after was fought for so hard, and that too, causes a flood of emotions. I loved this book, this story, these characters, and because of that, it caused me to feel what they were feeling. That is the litmus test of an amazing story, and this passed with flying colours
Book five in the Masters’ Admiralty but can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone. Has secondary characters from previous books in the series, but easy to follow along and back story and history is given. It is full length with a lot of characters working together to solve a mystery. In the Masters’ Admiralty each book is about a different triad relationship, but this triad has a twist! This story takes its time with details and backgrounds on the characters, we really get to know, love and care about them. This is a well woven story that keeps your interest and even thought some mysteries are solved, I can’t wait for more!
