Ivy Morgan hasn’t been feeling like herself lately. Not like anyone can blame her. After all, being held captive by a psychotic fae prince hell-bent on permanently opening the gates to the Otherworld is bound to leave some mental scars. It’s more than that, though. Something dark and insidious is spreading throughout Ivy, more powerful than she could ever imagine… and it’s coming between her and … between her and the man she’s fallen deeply in love with, elite Order member Ren Owens.
Ren would do anything to keep Ivy safe. Anything. But when he makes a life altering choice for her, the fallout of his act has far reaching consequences that threaten to tear their lives apart.
If Ivy is going to have any hope of surviving this, she must put aside the hurt and betrayal she feels, and work with not only those she loves, but with an enemy she would rather kill than ever trust. War is coming, and it soon becomes clear that what Ivy and Ren thought they knew about the Order, themselves, and even their enemies, has been nothing but a cluster of dangerous, deadly lies.
Ivy knows she must be more than just brave to save those she loves–and, ultimately, to save herself.
Because behind every evil fae Prince, there’s a Queen….

What a great end to the Wicked Trilogy! Ivy and Ren fought hard for their HEA. While they were willing to sacrifice everything for the other, their love for each other saved them.
“I have never been more afraid than I was right then and there. I was going to lose you before I even got to have you. And when Tink said there may be another way, it was the only choice I had and I made that choice knowing you could hate me for it. I made that choice knowing that it could hurt me. I made that choice knowing that you may never forgive me for it.”
One thing that I love about rereading books is that because I already know what’s going to happen, I get to see the twists and turns coming. And I feel like it lets me appreciate the way Jennifer’s mind works even more. Even though the ending did feel a bit rushed, the last few chapters blew my mind. There is a lot of stuff that happens in those chapters that it kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen.
I think we’ve already established from my reviews of the previous books just how much I love Tink, and that stays true in Brave as well. He’s such a breath of fresh air and adds some much needed levity to some heavy scenes. I love Ivy and Ren, even though there are times that I wanted to smack them. There was a period of time where my heart just hurt for both of them, but I trusted that Jen would have everything work out, and she didn’t fail me.
Before you read this book make sure that you’re ready for some plot twists, betrayal, fights, and some laugh out loud Tink moments. Honestly I always forget how much I love this series until I reread it. But then again, I think that happens a lot with Jennifer’s books.
“I’d rather have you pissed off at me for the rest of your very long life than to allow the world’s brightest fucking star to go out. You can hate me today and tomorrow, but at least you’ll have a tomorrow, and I’ll make damn sure you have a whole bunch of them to be angry with me.”

Ivy went through a lot in the last book and she is still healing from everything that happened. She not only took a hit physically, but especially mentally. I felt like she had a LOT to go through during this book. This of course also had an effect on her relationship with Ren. A big part of the book was therefore focused on (re)building the relationship between them and during that part of the book the pace was a bit off for me. It was a tad slow at times and I just wished they communicated better. However, after that part of the book was “done”. The pace was perfect and there was also enough action to keep me entertained. I was more surprised in this book by some of the plot twists than the other books. I can’t really say much, but what I can tell you is that I feel like Ivy and Ren did get their happy ending. Tink was again, one of the stars from the book. I keep on saying it, and I will say it again he is just so funny and amazing. I wish he will get his own spin off, that would be the best! Overall, I loved this book and these series, it was a crazy ride with loads of sweet, funny and sexy moments.

This final installment in A Wicked Trilogy was amazing! The book starts with Ivy dealing with what she’s been through and what is still to come. Ren is as swoon-worthy as ever as he tries to get Ivy to let him in. Brave is full of emotion. I couldn’t help feeling sorrow for Ivy, laughter with Tink, love with Ren, and hope with them all.
JLA definitely knows how to write action scenes. Sometimes when reading action, I get a little lost and bored. However, JLA knows how to write an action sequence that keeps me on the edge of my seat! The way this trilogy ended both wrapped up the story and left it open for revisiting. After this amazing book, I am more excited than ever for the movie!
I listened to this trilogy on audiobook narrated by Amy Landon. She did a really good job voicing the story. I liked that she used different voices for Big Tink and Little Tink. She really acts out voices that fit with how the character is feeling or what the character is doing (yawning, out of breath, crying etc.). She goes beyond just telling a story and makes it more immersive.
Really recommend this trilogy for fans of JLA and newbies!
I had a very hard time writing this review. It’s not that I didn’t loved the book, I did. But I wasn’t really sure how I felt about the ending.
The book was action packed, Ren and Ivy where great as always. But Tink takes the cake he’s the best, the greatest. He’s hilarious and saves the day in the weirdest ways.
The human fae interactions where interesting, I see new bonds forming and maybe a hint of a new relationship there shhhh no spoilers.
My problem with the ending is that I feel they tried so effing hard and at the end they kinda won but kinda didn’t. I guess this leaves a door open for the author if she wants to revisit this world.
All in all it was an amazing ending for the series and a beautiful ending for Ren and Ivy.
I have a complete and total girl crush on Jennifer Armentrout, so I was DYING for Brave to come out. It’s the third book in a trilogy that started with Wicked and then continued in Torn, and it did not disappoint. The story was wrapped up beautifully, and with more than a couple of twists that left me sitting there with my mouth open, staring at my kindle. And the chemistry between Ivy and Ren is as red hot as always. I cried for them when they were having issues, I laughed at them when they were playful with each other, and I was caught up in their chemistry as much as they were. You totally need to check out this series! ~Jean [January 2018]
Still not my favorite JLA series, but it was entertaining. The romance is just OK and I did not connect much to the characters. Also the heroine drove me nuts in this book.
And the fact that Ren ‘snitched’ on her was TOTALLY not fair and I hated it that he betrayed her trust like that. She really should have made him work for it more after that.
This is book 3 and the conclusion of the trilogy. I got the audiobook this time around and I think I sincerely loved the audiobook more. The story of Ivy and Ren Owens is one I have loved for a while now. We finally get our answers and way more than we thought so about the Prince, the Fae world and the Order secrets. Tink is the best in this book, I just love him to pieces.
Great series love the author!!
Well, JLA just ruined me for other book boyfriends. I kept waiting for something to happen that would make me mad at Ren, or for his love to waver at all for Ivy, but it never did. It was undying. This series changed me. I haven’t been a fan of fantasy or paranormal in the past, but I’m gonna tell you right now, it has all changed for me. This will not be the last JLA I read, and I have a feeling a binge session is coming on. Ivy, Ren and Tink invaded my world and I became engrossed immediately. I felt bad for Ivy during the beginning of this book and wanted so badly for her to communicate with Ren but I understood why she was so closed up. The PTSD was real. The decision that Ren made for her was such a tough one but i loved where it went. This trilogy is embedded in my heart.
This one is my absolute favorite. You get to see Tink is a more badass role, and you finally learn the truth about the Prince. So many secrets reveal their truths. I love this series. I can’t wait to read more from this author.
As always J.L.A is the expert of romance. I have waited and dreamed of the continuation of this series for forever and though my expectations probably were a bit too high, resulting in a bit of disappointment, I really enjoyed Brave.
I love Jennifer L Armentrout’s humor. That’s what made me start reading her books obsessively after reading half blood. Well, the humor and the romance of course. It’s just something about it that sticks out and really draws me to it. I guess I’m just a sucker for sarcasm and bits, which J.L.A major in. In Brave however, I feel that Armentrout did not put as much effort behind it and that disappointed me a bit as the humor is a big factor as to why I love her writing style. That’s not to say that there wasn’t anything humorous or funny at all. There absolutely were and that lifted the book a lot. I just wished there were more.
Despite being somewhat disappointed in the joke department, J.L.A certainty raised the bar with the action, romance and general girl power. That’s actually another reason why I love her books so much. You will never find the damsel in distress stereotype when you read any of her books. All women fight for independence, are strong and capable. Basically, they kick a**. There is no men walking over them, especially in the relationships. Ren and Ivy are equals and that’s what made me fall in love with their relationship. Sure, there were arguments and fights, but in the end they always met in the middle. Plus, the arguments they had only added to the drama, which according to me, every good book should have. Despite maybe a few too many cheesy declarations and lines, their relationship was perfect. There were drama, passion, chemistry, compatibility and humor. Everything you want in a romance book!
However perfect the romance was, the storyline and ending could have been better. It did not feel like that much was happening in this book compared to the previous ones and honestly, it felt too short and rushed at the end. Without giving anything away, the ending was sort anticlimactic. There were answers we readers never got, like Tinks real name, who he actually is and who Ivy’s real parents are. Still, I did like the plot twist and the unique and some odd personalities (like Tink) really compensated that. My only question after finishing the story is, is this the end of this series? Is this the end to the world J.L.A has created? The fact that it ended the way it did and so many unanswered questions were left in the air, it feels more like a cliffhanger than a conclusion. I really hope Armentrout has some future plans for this world. I would not mind that at all.

Review:
This is the first book I’ve managed to read after my brain injury ( I got a blood cloth in my brain) and I just couldn’t focus enough to read. But I managed to read this one and I’m so glad I did.
In hindsight it might have been better to reread the first two books before reading this one because I noticed I was a little hazy on the details.
What is this book all about:
This book picks up where the last one ended. Ivy got rescued from the evil prince and is now hiding with people that she never thought would exist, good fae that don’t feed on humans.
Ivy has been through some horrible stuff and it’s not something one just gets over. She is struggling and the people around here are struggling to help her. But escaping the clutched of the evil prince doesn’t mean it’s over. He still wants to make an apocalyps baby and Ivy isn’t down with that.
The prince is hunting her down, but are things really what they seem? Are the things you were told the actual truth?
What did I like about this book:
I liked how real this book was. Eventhough fae aren’t real, ptsd and trauma is and it was portrayed in a very realistic manner in my opinion. In some books we see heroines struggle for a page and then be totally fine with everything and all is good again. It’s not that I wanted Ivy to struggle but for the sake of the story i’m glad she did.
I just love Ren, I mean who doesn’t melt when a tall, hot, muscled guy with piercing green eyes calls you “sweetness”, and don’t lie to me, I know you do. I love how he was willing to stay with Ivy to the end, through everything. Yes they faught but he never gave up.
I absolutely adore Tink, he might be one of my favorite characters Jen’s ever written. He is so funny and eccentric and full of live. And weird, just love him. It was so funny to see how other fae were reacting to him, especially in his ‘adult’ form.
Overall I really enjoyed this book. But it doesn’t feel like a definite ending to me. I feel like this could be the third book in the series and there could be another one. Not that i’m not pleased with the ending because I am. I just miss a 100% closure.
Also like I hinted at above, be aware of the cliffhangers. There was stuff happening that I did not see coming, ever.
I can’t wait for the novella that comes out in 2018 called the prince. You might think ‘what the hell, why are you excited to read about that asshole’, well read the book and find out why.

I have been waiting on pins and needles for this book! Brave is the final installment of the Wicked trilogy and picks up right where Torn left off. It took no time at all for me to be completely sucked into the story. I was in this weird place where I could not read fast enough but did not want the story to end.
Let me just put this out there… Ivy is a total badass. At the end of Torn, she escapes the Prince with the help of Ren and some good fae. In Brave, Ivy is having a difficult time handling everything she endured while in the Prince’s captivity, and she’s pushing away those that love her. But with the threat of the Prince finding them and ending the world the pressure to get back to her old self is weighing on her. I love Ivy so much. She is real and relatable and even in her struggles she never gives up. She perseveres and finds herself stronger and braver than ever. And Ren. . . holy swoony hot guy Batman! Ren is the epitome of book boyfriends. His love for Ivy never falters. He saw her even when she tried to hide from herself. Don’t think I forgot about Tink! Tink is the best. In the most serious moments he had me laughing. The stuff he says is gold. I would totally be ok if he got his own book or novella one day.
This book was perfection. It’s action packed with tons of twists. Like the twists have twists! I couldn’t figure it out, which is always a fun surprise. I loved every moment of this book. It was a fabulous end to an amazing trilogy.
A really good ending with some twists!
Ivy and Ren are working out some issues in the relationship, but they are stronger than ever. Tink also busts out with some moves.
This is a must read. If you enjoyed the first two books, PICK THIS UP!
This was a great series but I didn’t feel that this book was worth the years I had to wait. I love this author and I’ve read more of her books than any other, but she has been taking way too long to release new books connected to a series. She used rp be my all time favorite author, but that’s changed recently. Don’t get me wrong, I will still read anything that is appealing, but I won’t be reading a book just because she wrote it like I did before.
I can’t put my finger on exactly what it was about the third installment of this series, but it didnt leave me quite as enamored as almost all of Jennifer’s other books do. A good bit of it fell kind of flat for me.
On the plus side, we finally get to learn whats up with Tinks Troll doll obsession, and, without any spolier alerts, i get the impression that we will be seeing more of this wolrd.
I would definitely recommend the book, and if Jennier brings out another series that piggybacks on this one, im sure i will be reading that as well.
I love this author. Always amazing.
