Brandr was Jarl of his group of Vikings. He’d brought three ships and forty men on this raiding party. Going down the coastline until they found a village within easy access of their landing, they started for shore. Upon arrival they were met by a woman. Although afraid and trying not to show her fear, she delivered her proposal.
What started as a logical and practical agreement turns into a mutually passionate marriage. As personalities become involved between Brandr and Eithne we are given a glimpse of the emotional baggage that comes with individuals that have been in previous relationships. This is an emotionally packed storyline you won’t be able to put down
Brandr is the second book in the Viking Surrender series, and I strongly suggest reading book one, or the prologue to this series, first! Eithne has agreed to be Brandr’s wife, but first they must get through some of the tension that lies between them. As time passes, they quickly grow closer together and can’t help but fall in love, but when Eithne receives unexpected news, will her marriage be ruined?
After reading the prologue, you can’t help but want to know the rest of their story, how they come together and deal with their differences! I loved reading this book and it absolutely lived up to how I hoped it would go. Eithne is so courageous, so protective of her people, and has such a huge heart for those around her. I really loved her character and her willingness to fix what wasn’t working. Brandr is such an alpha male, full of dominance and a natural leader, but I loved seeing his softer side and him dealing with his vulnerabilities. I loved them together, their passion and drive to succeed, and I did love their path to finding love. This ending is everything perfect! I’m definitely crying happy tears, but it’s just so good! You get so wrapped up in these characters, in their journey and growth and you can’t help but fall in love with them and cheer them to their happiness. I loved reading this book and already look forward to the next in the series!
Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough left you wanting more. Eithne is to marry the leader of the Vikings, a sacrifice she was willing to do for the safety of her people. The chemistry between them is intense hot and steamy, a rollercoaster ride of emotions that makes you wanting more twists and turns that only satisfy the Vikings or is it everyone?

This book has a little of everything, Vikings attacking enemies, a wedding, a spanking and a switching, a death and a beautiful love story with a surprise ending. The circle of life in a really sweet story. It is a quick read and really enjoyable, there is no angst, just a little sadness and a misunderstanding and most of all a really happy ending. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
Loved Brandr and Eithne
The story picks up after Vikings, a prologue. Brandr is much impressed by the small and brave Eithne. He makes her part of the bargain, it part as punishment for her sister’s crime against his brother. Taking her as wife. Having lost his beloved wife and child in childbirth, a barren wife would be a comfort to him and his 2 young sons it this new colony he and his chosen men are about to establish.
Eithne is shocked by Brandr’s claim on her, but to protect her sister and the women of the village she agrees. Her new husband is a hard but loving man, handing out spankings and pleasure to his new wife, which she loves and fears.
Brandr and Eithne quickly fall in love with each other. His men are impressed with her. She is a loving and kind mother to his young sons. An unexpected event that brings joy to Eithne, has Brandr pulling away. She doesn’t know what to do to get him back.
Great story. Fast paced, a little steamy. with spanking for discipline and pleasure. Really liked Eithne and Brandr. The ending is dramatic and sweet, and could have been a little longer, didn’t feel finished. Looking forward to the rest of the books in this multi author series.

The story of a brave and couragous woman!
by sewsummore
Eithne stood at on the beach alone, ready to barter for the lives of the women and children and the aged of their village. The unwed woman would become wives to his men and in return that he and his men will protect the village from it enemies. A bargain was struck and their leader took her as his wife. Eithne was a brave and couragous woman facing his men alone, their marriage was one she accepted. He was a man who had two children but no wife and she was a woman who had proved barren. It was a good bargain for them both, but the enjoyment they found in their bed at night was far greater than either of them expected. This second book in the series I enjoyed more than the first, the characters had more depth and their emotions were deeper and more heart felt. This is proving to be a series that will be a keeper in my library to be reread and enjoyed again.

The second book in the Viking Surrender series we now get to see how Eithne and Brandr’s life goes after he chose her as his wife. We also get to see some of the village life and some of the other people. His Sons Havardr and Leif are brought to live with them also. I want to read the next book. After the prologue in which Eithne asks for the protection of Vikings who land in her village in exchange for brides, this is the story of the first couple wed – Eithne herself and Brandr, the Viking leader. On her wedding night, she is punished for her sister-in-law’s attack on Brandr’s brother. But she is strong and takes it well, earning the admiration of Brandr. They are a passionate couple. Their love is hot and steamy. As they face trials in the village, their protection of each other draws you in. It is a wonderful love story. Now on to the next bride and groom of this great anthology!
