Oh my lord what a book. I absolutely loved it and couldn’t put it down the whole time. No spoilers here but this is definitely one I would recommend reading.
This is my opinion and my review
This dark and surprisingly compelling story of revenge and redemption captures your attention and makes you want to finish to the end. Twisted logic and tragic loss. So sad for the early beginnings of Brandon and his introduction to discrimination which start him down the path of destruction.

This is my first read by this author, but it won’t be my last. In fact, now I need to go back and read this series in order. This is a twisty tale that took me on an emotional roller coaster from beginning to end. It was crazy intense and I couldn’t put it down. Everything about it was a win! I loved the characters, their angsty romance, and the passion was hot. I’ve found a new must-read author!
Let’s start off by saying that this author can write some really dark romances.
I had mixed feelings about this story although I love the character’s themselves separately I felt that something was missing.
We love the love/hate stories but,me for I just felt that something wasn’t adding up.Brandon and Dixie where childhood sweethearts but, their relationship was full of complications .Do to their complications their relationship left on a bad note and years later they are reunited by a chance meeting .
At the start of the story their was no doubt that both Dixie and Brandon were soul mates but, with life’s interferences and well as their parents they were doomed from the start.
The story was edgy and fast paced and very dark but, at times funny.I liked certain parts of the story and disliked others but, I was happy how the story ended. The story was defiantly a page turner but, somewhere in the middle of the story I started losing interest for a bit.I think my problem is this-During their chance meeting the hatred they had between them was undeniable but, what I could not understand why he hated Dixie the way he did to want nothing but,to seek revenge and end her life? This couple were childhood sweethearts and the breaking up was not a pleasant one but,the amount of hate he carried for her would not warrant that kind of hatred so, this is what threw me because if anyone had justified hated toward one another it would be in Dixie’s corner not his.
The story drug on a little bit two slowly with them shouting at each other with hateful barbs but, as the story progresses you do understand why he carries that kind of hate but, for me it took to long for the author to get there.
Overall this is a very dark read that was full of suspense and had tons of twists and turns and one surprise after another as well as unbelievable betrayals but, it was also about healing and redemption as well as forgiveness and writing the wrongs of ones past.
We did enjoy the story of a couple of soul mates who meet but,it just wasn’t their time but, somehow fate has reunited these two broken souls and only the other will be able to heal them.We enjoyed the heart wrenching read as well as the character’s themselves.
“This was one hot dirty and raunchy read!”
“The story tugged at my heart strings!”
4 stars from us
This book had me from the first chapter. I needed (not just wanted) to know what happened. That ending blew me away because I never it expected to end like that.
This book has grit, pain, darkness and love that makes you do things unexpected.
Another intriguing and disturbing read by Clarissa Wild. When I need to mix it up once in a while, I can count on these dark stories to get my mind all wrapped up In figuring things out and getting a bit warped as well. Brandon is a great character, disturbed to his core early on and made worse by racism, poor decision-making, resentment and the elements of evil. But there is this likable trait that is hard to ignore. That same trait that you want to see rewarded by the goodness of Dixie.
There is a “HEA” in a way only Clarissa Wild can imagine, but the path to that end is littered with obstacles. Enjoyed my foray into the dark side again.
I think Brandon and Dixie were in love with
the idea of being with someone that they
weren’t supposed to be with. It gave them a
rush. Maybe he was way more invested in the
idea of them more than she was. And later it
was because they only had each other, familiarity,
and the sense that they could trust each other, but
only after everything that happened.
At the end, their decision to be together not
only brought them peace, but comfort as well.
Brandon was a troubled teen. He didn’t have but one friend.
Dixie was always told she wasn’t allowed to associate with Brandon’s kind, but she wasn’t one to follow directions.
Brandon loves fire something about it gives him happiness. Brandon loves Dixie and hoped it would all work out but all loves stories have their twists and turn and this one is no exception.
This story has lots of racial issues and graphic death scenes but it’s what makes the story, it’s in true Carissa Wild style.
I loved the dark side of the story that keep you guessing what was going to happen.
4.5 crazy stars!!
Another amazing story by this author!! I didn’t immediately connect to the characters but eventually they grew on me and then the book was impossible to put down. Dixie and Brandon have a very turbulent relationship that made for a very dark & dirty story.
Branded is an enemy to lovers standalone, fast paced, well-written, a good storyline, and a great ending. However, it was hard for me to connect to the character or believe part of their story.
Don’t take me wrong, the story is entertaining, intense, and captivating, but some of the actions by the characters seam cold and evil, without giving it a second though of what they have done. (Is just me, so I recommend that you give it a try and judge for yourself).
I love anything written by Clarissa Wild, the darker the better. She know how to built new worlds and mind-blowing storytelling!
Brandon and Dixie were childhood friends until something happened between their families that made them enemies. Years later Brandon is working security for his uncle when he runs into Dixie again. Despite everything they have done and how much they should hate each other sparks reignite between them. Can they put the hate aside to talk about everything or will they continue to hurt one another?
This is a great story that will have you on the edge of your seat. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any book lover.

This was one crazy train wreck I didn’t want to get off. I totally enjoyed the hate/love going on between Dixie and Brandon. I didn’t know if I wanted them to kill each other or not.

Branded by Clarissa Wild is an amazing book!! You don’t know whose side to be on, or who wronged who. It is a crazy suspenseful book that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end!!!
Brandon is an Indian that doesn’t live on the reserve, instead, he lives in a town that hates him just for the color of his skin. His dad is only trying to make a nice peaceful life for him and Brandon.
Dixie is a small town girl who is nice to the boy that everyone thinks is weird and doesn’t belong in their town. Her family does everything in their power to make sure she knows that Brandon is different and he doesn’t belong in their little town.
Jump forward ten or so years and a turn of events has Brandon and Dixie running into each other and needing need each other to survive the night. Brandon blames Dixie for the problems that happened to his family in high school. While Dixie blames Brandon for problems that happened to her in high school.
I loved how whenever you think you know what is about to happen Clarissa Wild throws in a plot twist. I can’t say much more without giving too much away. All I can say is you have to add this to your to be read list!!!
What did I just read? This book had so much built into I am not even sure where to start. The story line while not original I felt it to be original in the location and the characters put into play. Clarissa packed so much into this story between miscommunication between characters, dark, steam and just who to trust issues. The way to two characters hated each other and worked through their issues individually truly created for an amazing ride.
Wow, what a dark, and disturbing story. I love Clarissa’s stories and this one is no different. Two characters that are opposite of each other but together are freaking awesome. I enjoy every one of these books in this series and this one is no different. Must read!
I am volunteering to leave a review of this ARC book from Enticing Journey. This is my first Clarissa Wild book. An enemies to lover trope. And, when I write enemies, phew. Hard to believe these two did not start out this way; but, that’s what gives this story its angst! I was debating for a long time whether Ms. Wild was going to provide an HEA, or not! Dixie and Brandon are very strong characters. I enjoyed the writing style, and will definitely check out more by this author.

I have so much respect for this author which makes not giving this book a 5 star rating so freaking hard. It’s not that I didn’t like Brandon and Dixie’s story, it just took me so long to get into it. I just couldn’t connect with the characters until the very end. I did love their love-hate relationship and the hate sex between these two was super HOT. Their story is not as dark as I am used to from this author and that could be why I couldn’t get into it. It also could be just me, so don’t let this stop you from reading this one. I would highly recommend it to someone that is looking for a little bit of darkness and as an introduction to Clarissa’s dark side. She is a fantastic writer.
Happy Reading Everyone!!!

Oh my lord… It’s been so long since I’ve read a book from this lady that I was nervous about it.
Her latest book shook me up in a way that it left a brand there… My soul was open and the need to read another book was overwhelming…
Clarissa Wild is the author I’m talking about. Her writing is super raw and intense that will make you scream with pleasure or run for your life… Just see for yourself.
Branded is her latest release and tells the stories of Dixie and Brandon.
Brandon had a normal life. He worked as a security guard in his uncle’s casino. Being Native American he was bullied alot. After arguing with his dad to know why they left the reserve and sticking up to the girl he loved he got out from home and then years had passed. One day at his job and…
Dixie had the perfect life growing up. OK she had a few problems with her dad because she wanted to do stuff like men used to do. She just wanted to create and not doing some boring stuff in the farm. But one day everything changed and now she seeks revenge.
And then they run into each other.. This could be the beginning of a relationship but they already knew each other. When they were kids they used to be all day together until one day they didn’t and life kept running…
What? Why? How? Jesus… What was this? I’m speechless… I’m doomed…
Sweet lord, this book was darker than the night. Dayum… I’m still shaking.
Fantastic plot, very well written, super engaging and intense. Let’s not forget the drama and darkness that surrounded this story. It was madness.
This book is told in two points of views and that made all the difference. Because when you’re reading one point of view you will automatically ask what is the other character is thinking. A brilliant combination of you ask me.
There were parts of the book that I wanted to slap someone and made them see the light. But there were others that I wanted to hold then and promise that better days would come.
This book is surrounded by darkness, crime, drama, violence, abuse as well as love second chances, hope and forgiveness.
I knew that this author would make me scream and oh boy… She really did. And girls… Hot stuff alert…
Oh Clarissa what just happened? I knew the book would be intense but it was of charts… And I want more. Pretty please…
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
