Selma Lehmann sees demons. But what’s worse is—they see her, too. No one believes that there are monsters walking among us. No one wants to believe. But they’re real, and when Selma falls into their hands, the truth about her curse proves far worse than she could have ever known.Trapped by a demon whose singular desire is to possess her, body and soul, Selma’s only hope for freedom is to submit … for freedom is to submit to his grueling pleasures.
Branded is a prequel novella to the series Demon’s Mark. Selma’s story concludes in the next book.
Please note: this book has previously been released as a 6-part serial under the same name.

This is a fantastic prequel! It’s well written but I wouldn’t recommend this if you don’t like dark erotica! With an interesting fantasy storyline, it’s hot and sexy, it’s wicked and exciting, it’s dark and gritty and if this is your thing then I definitely recommend it.
This caught my interest. Though quite naive, I did enjoy Selma’s character. I think once I read further she will become just plainly more; more everything. The twists and mystery were very good. And the dirty, it was quite dark. I’m reading more!

When you get that feeling that something’s not right, listen! Selma was cursed with the ‘sight’ of seeing all the creepy, cooky, chilling scary things we read about or were told stories about as children. But she could never get anyone to believe her. So, she lived a life of constant fright, alone. In an act of self-preservation, Selma managed to ‘fake’ her way to not appearing to see or react to the horror in front of her in the view of others, to their everlasting comfort. But she was never comforted. Until she met Dr Hershey. She felt she could trust him because he appeared to believe her. She submitted to him in pursuit of a cure. What she experienced and learned open her eyes to a new perception of truty. My goodness! This was deep! Hot! You can’t help but immediately empathize with Selma and keep your fingers crossed for her. Can Dr Hershey cure her? Is Selma able to find peace? Was it all just her imagination? Awesome beginning. This story hooks you and won’t let go. I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.
can not wait to see more from this author!! This story kept my attention and I loved it!! Once again I am in awe with the authors imagination, and writing skills. Her books always leave me breathless!

A prequel to a dark series with plenty of demons. Monsters are everywhere but only she can see them. Her doctors have tried everything to stop her hallucinations but what if they are real? This story just begins the story of Selma and how one decision to help someone will change her life forever. Expect some dark scenes with these demons.
Another HOT Nora Ash Book!!
While short, this story is action packed and fast paced. If you’re a fan of dark erotica, the Nora Ash’s writing is perfect for you, and this story delivers in the typical, fantastic Nora Ash style. I would absolutely recommend this book and cannot wait to read the next book!!
DARK, DELICIOUS, & DELIGHTFULLY WICKED!!!
Title: Branded
Series: Demon’s Mark
Author: Nora Ash
Designation: Prequel, NOT Recommended As A Standalone, Cliffhanger Ahead #fantasy #paranormal #romance
My Rating: Five Deliciously Dark
**This book was originally published as a serialized six part erotic romance with the same title but has been revamped and re-released with additional content.
I became a Nora Ash fan in 2015 when Branded was originally published as a six-part serialized erotic romance. It has now been revised, expanded, and released as a prequel to the deliciously dark Demon’s Mark series. I purchased and read all six of the original installments, so I was familiar with the characters and storyline, but I found myself once again completely spellbound from the first page till the last. Branded is an imaginative, well written, sexy, steamy, deliciously wicked, as well as hopelessly addictive, erotic fantasy romance and though some of the original, more steamy content has been replaced, the story is still edgy and hot as hades! Pun intended! lol… The dialog is smart, well executed, and flows effortlessly. There are so many things I adored about the book but my favorite component by far is the intriguing cast characters. They literally explode from the pages and capture your imagination as well as your heart. No one can write a villain like Nora Ash! I absolutely loved it! If you enjoy dark, gritty, steamy romantic fantasy, then this series is screaming your name! But beware, this tale is not for the faint of heart!
As a child, everyone thought Selma’s strange behavior was just a result of a child’s overactive imagination but as she grew older and the “hallucinations” continued, Selma feared she may be mentally ill. She was bounced from one doctor and mental facility to another until she finally realized she must lie to everyone and pretend she didn’t see the monsters that seemed to leer and follow her everywhere. For years, she managed to hide it well, until she tried to rescue an innocent young woman from a vicious attack by monsters who looked like demons, at least to her. But as a reward for her efforts, Selma awakened to find herself alone, confused, desolate, defeated, and confined to Ravenswood House, a facility for the mentally ill. Little did she know that the monsters were very real and that her new doctor, Martin Hershey, was actually a monster himself and had so much more in store for his lovely new patient than just psychiatric therapy. Oh my! Will Selma ever be able to escape her “demons”? We’ll see!
So, did I like this book? I didn’t just like it; I loved it! I actually enjoyed it more than the original story. Will I read this author again? Absolutely! I can hardly wait to read the additional books in the series. Would I recommend it! You bet but only for adult readers since it does contain explicit sex scenes. And finally, was I entertained? Completely! It’s deliciously dark, delightfully wicked, and fabulously entertaining!
This is the 1st book I’ve read written by Nora Ash; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

Nora Ash uses familiar characters in a new exciting way, couldn’t put the book down
Fantastic
For Selma hiding the fact that she sees beings no one else does has become second nature, after all telling other people when she was a child meant injections and being called crazy. After a run in with three who were taking advantage of a young woman, Selma is back under care, but Dr Hershey has a cure, or so he says, but he is one too. Can she trust what he says or is it all another ruse as she discovers his brand of help is more a brand than help.

A sexy, decadent taste of a fabulous story to come. The world the author started building is really interesting. If you like very dark stories filled with unbelievably sexy scenes, read this. In fact, read anything by this author!
I am fascinated by this premise and I’m really interested to see where the author takes this story. I would caution readers and say that this book is not without triggers, but holy hotness Batman! I cannot tell you more without possibly ruining a truly great story. Can’t wait for the next in this series!

H is strong and brave. She experienced some scary stuff growing up. This short story introduces us to a new world with hot scary demons. It has strong non consent scenes. *Spoiler* I really didn’t like the doctor and how he treated her. NA writes hot scenes really well! Can’t wait for the next book!

*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from the author*
I wouldn’t recommend this to those who do not like dark erotica. If you do NOT like dubious consent, forced orgasms or enjoy the thought of these demon males being total Alphas, don’t read this. It is a bit of a cliffhanger but if you’re the type to really enjoy these reads, then it’ll just be that more enticing for you.
I liked it because it was hot, a little scary, and the tease of what kind of paranormal fantasy world these demons lived in was more than enticing. The beginning was a little too dubious for me because a sensitive assault wasn’t clarified, and I spent a good few pages of information worrying over it until it finally got confirmed that she wasn’t… hurt. These are very sensitive topics that can go so wrong if one thing’s not done right, and it’s really the only thing that kept me from enjoying this.
Writing was good. Selma was an interesting character who had a hard time living with her ‘hallucinations’. Part of me wishes a little more had been done for her so she wasn’t always just someone ‘crazy’ looking for help, but I also get that it’s a prequel to the conclusion of Selma’s story…. It hasn’t even come out yet and I’m already wishing there were more lol.
Selma saw monsters since she was a little girl. Doctors tried everything they could to help her but to no avail. One night she sees three monsters attacking a woman in an alley. She decides to come to her rescue but ends up in a psychiatric ward. The doctor she sees is a monster as well, but he has an unorthodox cure for her illusions. Once she used it, he looked normal to her. But he was not normal and wanted her soul so he could breed with her. She is a Breeder, which is truly rare, especially a Pure Breeder. The clock is ticking and she wants to escape. Can she? He is very dangerous and has marked her! She needs to find a way out of the situation and get his mark off her. The book ends in a cliffhanger and we will discover what transpires next in the next book! The book also has steamy scenes! I received this book via Booksprout and am leaving a voluntary review.
Paranormal romance is not a genre that I usually read. I have enjoyed other books by Nora Ash and had an opportunity to read this prequel. I am glad that I did! I thoroughly enjoyed this book – it had romance, intrigue, betrayal coated with some darkness. I look forward to reading Demon’s Mark.
I thought this was a great quick read from Nora Ash. Incredible author, great characters although there are some possible triggers. Overall a definite should read that leaves you wanting more. Can’t wait for the next book.
I recieved an ARC of this book from the author for my honest review.
Nora Ash is an amazing writer. I’ve read several of her books before and I’ve always enjoyed them, this book was no different.
Her main character Selma has spent her life seeing monsters, she has been institutionalized and made to believe she is crazy until she finds out the truth about who she is and why she sees the world differently.
If you enjoy erotic paranormal books about sexy demons and breeding this book is definitely for you. I will definitely be reading the next installment.
