Great character with a very original story
Good book. Some slow spots but when it’s good it’s good
Very well written. Medical details were obviously researched. Characters were “real”. Satisfying story line.
Very well written and will keep you up all night trying to figure this one out…loved it
I had a sister who went through a traumatic brain injury and all the frustrations of rehab. Physical and Occupational therapy were very hard and trying for her. Thank goodness she didn’t have the emotional problems and marital disaster that Charly had. It gave me new insight as to the struggles a person has with brain trauma. So gladf I read it.
Interesting to read about people recovering from brain injuries. How much of a cad can a man be?
Brain Damage was a great read as the before and after of the injury builds the whole story and brings the book to its finality
Thought provoking. Makes you realize how fragile out autonomy is.
Absolutely unique, very interesting and well written!
A mystery surrounding a love story under tragic circumstances. Provides insight into the rehab process from the ‘user’ point of view. It is realistic, inspiring AND enjoyable.
(I am still reading it.) It is well written. Even though the subject matter can be difficult at times on an emotional level, I find it very interesting , as well as exciting and often funny.
interesting and captivating
I loved this novel. The suspense was good — I did guess some but it took a while and edge of seat reading to find out for sure. I really loved the story and thought it very original.
I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Keeps you wondering what is coming next. Impressive battle of comeback after being shot
I thought the book was wonderful.
Very interesting and captivating. It was hard to put down. Written by a doctor, it is educational and fascinating. The first person narrative going from before and after the traumatic brain injury several times was very intriguing. I highly recommend it.
I couldn’t put it down! Loved the ending!
the story was tragic and unpredictable but there were some points in the book that I nearly put it down as the story drags a little — The who done it was unexpected. It was a sad story through most of the book but finished with a happy ending.
This book kept me reading to find out who shot this character in the head and destroyed her life as she knew it. The main character struggles to regain her life and discovers new things about herself along the way.
