Simply EXCELLENT!! I highly recommend this book!
As a person who has suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) I really enjoyed this book. Before TBI I was a research scientist. After TBI my life was a different reality and I could no longer do my job. I had to retire early. My memory is messed up, I’ve have vertigo every day for 10 years, my left leg functions oddly and I have really bad headaches at the location of a basal skull fracture. Many of the symptoms discussed in the book were very familiar. You might enjoy this book if you have had a TBI, if you know anyone who has had a TBI or if you want to explore a different reality, without really experiencing it.
great book lots or action
Excellent book.
I really enjoyed this book. You felt like you got to know the characters and they were real. Well written and well executed. Highly recommend if you like medical thrillers.
Back and forth action between past and present keeps you guessing at the truth.
Thought it was an OK read but not too exciting.
This was a so-so book for me. Much of it I can find believable and what I don’t find believable I did not find particularly interesting. I do enjoy this genre of books but this was not one of my favorites.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was well written and kept me wanting to come back for more
I really liked reading this book. I found it insightful and a little sad. But it also was hard to take breaks because it was moving fast and kept me interested. Excellent read.
This story made me cry. I felt so bad for her and all she had to go thru. It helps you understand what some people have to endure through no fault of their own. She was very brave and I was glad she was able to get back some of what she lost.
I loved this book. Such a tragic beginning gets you hooked right away. Loved Charly’s Character. Sometimes I wanted to shake her and other times hug her. A must read!
It was a very good book. Good plot. I haven’t read anything with that plot line before.
Interesting use of neuroscience and a main character who introspective, brave and fearful all at once.
I loved reading this book. It has it all.
Enjoyable easy read. Particularly enjoyed the perspective of the main character as she tries to cope with new-found limitations.
pretty interesting book although the main character annoyed me at times- she was just too nice.
Original concept and written with interesting timelines, before and after the incident, creating suspense.
It illuminated the difficulties in recovering from severe brain trauma. Solving the puzzle of who committed the injury was 3-star, but the details involved in the healing process was 5-star. An interesting medical story.
If you like psyc books this book is for you because you will feel as if you are right in the middle of the action. You will not want to put the book down. When I was reading I would find myself doing some research and every time I found myself saying the action was right on. It told me the author had either had experience in this field of had done some fantastic for herself. I loved this book.
